Apparently we can hear the dead speak. There is a new post on the blog from a dead Craig Rogers...

Link to the aforementioned post, for those of us who totally forgot about such blogs (i.e. me, lols).

There are also a couple of new images on the Sunshine Mine page... one with a whole lotta binary on it and the other changed now to read "you decide when it begins". Will translate in a bit...

Also: HI GUYS.

edit;; while I stop the bleeding from my eyes trying to figure out how many 0s and 1s there are on that image, there is a hidden link in the source code to... here. Looks like they are (were) the belongings of our friends Shanna and Craig. Apparently Sgt. Franks is on our side?

AWWRIGHT.
The binary is as follows:
Code:
010011010100000101011
001010001000100000101
011001001000000100110
101000001010110010100
010001000001010110010
010000001001101010000
010101100101000100010
000010101100100100000
001000000101010001101
000011010010111001100
100000011011010110010
101110011011100110110
000101100111011001010
010000001101001011100
110010000001100011011
011110110110101101001
011011100110011100100
000011001100111001001
10111101101101

Which translates to:
Code:
MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY  This message is coming from

VERY USEFUL.

update

On the bottom right hand corner of SunshineMine is a hyperlink. It opens new page Evidence with a wealth of clues to peruse.

Takin' a look at those images... Craig had a business card to Hotel ZaZa, which refers to two hotels in Dallas and Houston, Texas. I forget, did Craig ever talk about being in either of these cities at any point? It looks like that might be where they ended up, in any case.

edit;; Pretty certain the business card is for the Houston location. There is a way to look up reservations online on their website. If this game is as good as I think it is (I expect no less, Bricker!), maybe we can look theirs up?

Are you all totally out of the loop? We decoded that a long time ago! The binary is correct; but look at the image, it reads "Platform 15" several places (hint: pillars). Dot-dot-dot-connect.

Finally, some signs of life (or well, would be, if he wasn't dead). I suggest we start playing some, now. The website seems to indicate that the doors are open, and I have great expectations for this game, even if I might end up not exactly being in the hard core of the players.

Since Craig and Shanna were going on a road trip through the USA, it could be anywhere. Houston sounds good to me. If you want to, I'd say give it a go -- TINAG, right? Smile

What about that note sitting above Craig's wallet? The only bit I've been able to make out so far is "I love you so much..."

Also, if these images are listed on a page titled "Evidence," and a Sgt. Franks removed them from a police archive, that would suggest to me that the police are suspicious about Craig and Shanna's deaths. The timestamp on the photos suggest that these were taken in as evidence the day after Craig's last post of 2009. As for their location, the last place Craig mentioned in his blog was Bakersfield, CA. He mentioned the last thing he would see was "the leaves from the trees of the La Grande Jatte," which is currently being exhibited by the Art Institute of Chicago, and there's a large mural depicting this scene in the Mall of America in Minnesota. That's about all I got from quickly scanning Wikipedia, haha. In any case, neither of these locations are in Texas. Actually, I don't think any of his posts refer to them visiting Texas. Hmm...

Glad to see SM up and running! Very Happy

Well, there also seems to be a card key for Staybridge Suites (the Wireless Anywhere thing).....that does have a location in Chicago....but it also has tons of other locations

WHY YES I AM thank you for noticing

ironnikki: I'm guessing it's a note from his former wife? Can't really read much more of it than you did. Also, that restaurant with the mural that the wiki article mentions doesn't exist anymore (I remember seeing them painting over it, SO SAD).
Anyway, maybe the hotel wasn't where they ended up, but it's apparently relevant to our quest here.

TheCheese: Hmm. On a hunch, looked up Staybridge Suites in Bakersfield, CA, if that is where the two really ended up. There are apparently no actual Staybridge Suites in Bakersfield, CA--but there are two Holiday Inns, which is one of their brands.

All I have to add is I think your "and" is "we". "I love you so much, we have(?) many things I(?) said(?)". That doesn't make much sense to me, but it was what I was able to get out of it.

Major props to you guys for actually making anything out of that handwriting. I for sure am no good at such stuff. Studying the file in 4000*3000px with contrast/brightness adjustments didn't yield me anything much.

It looks like the last four digits on the credit card are "6285" (possibly)
