I need help remembering a video series on Youtube. It was about a kid who had a special power of some sort (teleportation I think?) and over the course of the videos he got better and better at his ability. Along with that, some guy was watching him from outside his house. Oh, and 99% of his videos were in his closet. I think the videos were made around 2 years ago like around 2007 or late 2006.

In my mind, the ones we 'know' are fictional are the worst.

How often is fiction turned to reality?

How long ago was it that people wrote of magic boxes that showed moving pictures?
How long ago was it that people wrote of those same magic boxes being used to watch people in their homes?
How long did it take the fictional accounts of cyborg limbs for them to become real?
How many events and species thought to be fables end up being true?

I'm not saying Slendy is going to come knock on my door and ask me for $20, but, I am saying that we don't know everything, and just because we may think something is fictional doesn't mean it can't exist, and can't kill/rape/take naked pics of us.

Well, I have to admit that I'm not that easy to scare to begin with, and when I am creeped out by something, it's usually for a short duration, until or perhaps a little bit after I've finished watching/reading/whatever. So maybe I just can't relate to the idea of being scared of something the way some of you guys are. Honestly, it's really kind of a mixed blessing, as it kind of takes the extended thrill out of a lot of things that seems to have others completely immersed in.

Mostly I blame it on desensitisation as a child. I was actually a pretty scaredy kid back then, but when I was five, I wound up watching films like The Shining and Psycho, and I saw the Blair Witch Project when it first came out. Let's just say that I couldn't sleep well for weeks after watching those. Yet it never stopped me from watching horror films, which was weird because even some decidedly un-scary films scared the piss out of me. In addition, I kind of had to learn to deal with my fears back then because if ever I freaked out too much over these things, my family had little sympathy and expected me to suck it up and sleep in my own room with the lights off. So I kind of had to get over my fears pretty fast in order to not become a complete basketcase. Not that I didn't become a basketcase in the end, but it wasn't because of the horror films.

In some ways, I will say that it's nice, mostly because when I was little, I thought I'd always be the one getting so much more freaked out by things than my peers, when nowadays the opposite is usually true, but at the same time I still kind of miss my old fear, like my five-year-old reluctance to get anywhere near a bathtub because of the scene with the dead woman in The Shining.

Ironically enough, I had a dream about her years later, in which we did...erm... naughty things in the hotel room together.

Also, MadeOfWood, what are you talking about? My avatar is a picture of a hot chick who seems to be very happy to see you. How could you not want porn of it?
