Way to go New Mexico! I was scared there for a moment.

I can kinda see why the PM might have wanted this one to be one of the last clips we get. There's something going on with Aiden. He's setting something up.

Unless I'm miscounting, that's a new record! Step forward and take your praise, NM!

Go team Boise! Very Happy

Well as I'm sure you all noticed, shock_sticks is now open! I got to answer the 13:27 phone, which is the one that opened the wave file. I even got to meet some fellow beekeepers. I'm now hooked!

Thanks to aliendial and dorkmaster: you're instructions worked perfectly!

Great Job everyone! Go bulls! Very Happy

I'm dying to hear about NM. The first 2 coordinates were exactly the same (same phone?) but they only got 1 of them. The next 2 coordinates were also exactly the same, and they got both of them. How many people were there? Were they running to the next phone to try to grab it in time? I can only imagine the hilarity that ensued!

Should I open up a San Diego thread? It is a worthwhile goal to grow our axon.

If it wouldn't get axed, go for it. The mods might consider it a double post though ;)

Well, I can't do it in this forum. Double-post meaning another thread exists for San Diego already? I don't know if five is enough for a separate thread.

Anyway, note to locals: San Diego point info is on page 6.

ok, the transcript of on_time is up (in the puzzles section). I will probably be able to do the transcript of raining_cops before I have to go to work at 15:45 PDT... so hopefully it'll come in quickly. After that it's up to you guys to get typing up those transcripts. Enjoy.

Edit: Well, it doesn't look like we're getting raining_cops tonight... I'll be back on tomorrow then, hoping for more .wav files to listen to and [SPEC] about. Very Happy have a good night people.

23/36 in 2 days is surprisingly good though... Well done to all you axon heaters out there. You have my praise and gratitude.

Unfortunately, looks like "Raining Cops" is a miss for today.

new york payphones suck

New York update:

I tried for both the 8:01 panic_button and the 12:57 code_word, but there were a minimum of 7 phones in each area and I was the only one there, so no dice.

I'll try again tomorrow, but after that I'm giving up. I've determined that my luck in getting to these things is phenomenally, one might even say in a pre-ordained fashion, bad.

During the first round, on the 24th, there were 7 axons in NYC. I made it to 5 of them. And the only 2 that I didn't make it to? Those were the only 2 to be activated that day.

Now I'm 0/2 today, raising my spectacular ratio to what must be a record 0/7. I now loathe New York City payphones.

With regards,

Ian Whalen

Naw, don't give up. Just try to get more people to go with you, so you can cover more phones at once. It is depressing when you pick one and miss, but this game does require some amount of coordination.

Gonna hit the 10:07 drt axon tomorrow so we can get that codebank active. Awesome job everyone is doing, and keep it going!

NYC/NYU Axons

Regarding the Axon inside Rubin Hall, I can get it in the next round, since I live in NYU freshman housing Very Happy literally a block away. On a side note, I was at the 13:23 axon for standard_procedure, (on 14th street) but as far as I could tell there was no one else there. the coordinates pointed exactly to a pair of phones on opposite sides of the street, so it was a 50/50 gamble and I lost out.
Vlamidala, how about we trade? you take fourteenth street, and I'll take tenth. I'll be heading back to fourteenth street tomorrow, since orientation appears to be clear tomorrow. hope to see you there.

Could someone please direct me to a map or address list for the hivekuts axons?
