If I had twitter I might, bit reluctant to sign up for that site for the sake of one ARG/trailhead, I'll see if any other ways to chat to these guys pops up.

@rjoal , who appears to be a staff member, tweets re: to @Obtusitivity "Enter your ID into Blackboard and your grades should be accessible now; credits req info after full system restored."
Now that the "system" is partially back up, there should be a site to retrieve records.
The more I research, the less I want to follow this.

atreynich's twitter says:
buy 0. no longer preposterous.
I'm guessing this references the website above. What would "buy 0" mean?

How to get "recognised" by the game? It seems a little.. chaotic, at the moment. I hope tasks will be clearer than "Find missing person X" -- and a way to get into the game to do just that, would be nice as well
/me goes off to Twitter to try make something out of the chaos.

Yeah, I'm a bit lost too, what started off like a simple countdown with a bit of wierdness and since turned into what seems like a pretty chaotic start to a story telling. I mean I know its called Chaotic Fiction, but I'm wondering where the heck this is going/what we're meant to do.

what's confusing at the moment? Have you guys attempted to contact characters at all? I've gotten responses relatively easily and that's the #1 way you're going to dig more info out of this -- if you're just planning on sitting around waiting for someone to tell you a story, its not going to be much of a 'game' right? I'll keep prodding away, but honestly: i'm not even sure at this point how you're confused (because there hasn't been enough going on yet for it to even be confusing...)

Just try to communicate with the characters as though you're a part of the same world the game is (or more importantly, like it's a part of your world). Ask questions, the characters & the posterous site are our interface at the moment - let's use it.

not sure - however that dude from the Defiant_Master thread that six is tracking keeps referring to players as "zero" -- so that probably strengthens the connection.

Not sure; he DOES have a link to a website that comes up on google as his homepage with a telephone number on it, which is (according to reversemobile) a wireless provider in LA. His website doesn't look all that professional for a cabaret publicity guy(?), but he seems to be interacting with some 'real' people.

for the time being let's just keep track of the one on twitter - seems like it's a common enough name that we don't want to track any google hits unless we can absolutely confirm in-game-ness.

Lost more than confused, as in, a countdown by various characters to a day in which the only significant events that occured were a) the campus system failure and b) the temporary dissapearance of their boss, both of which events seemed to take the characters by suprise. Maybe the countdown thing was nothing but a launch ploy to draw people in, but having a countdown to a day, and then all the characters are suprised by the fact something happening on that day, just seemed wierd to me.
But it seems a plot is immerging now, the site we were given a login to has changed - their "boss" is now back and says something about he had to dissapear or lives would have been in danger. I guess now its just a process of questioning them to find out whats going on.
