Not to me, but then I've not gotten into many ARGs. Its certainly odd, vid title looks at first glance like a phone number or something.

Well, I just watched all the Marble Hornets stuff (holy crap its scary) and I agree it sounds pretty similar, but perhaps not close enough to rule out a coincidence? Suppose all we can do at this point is wait and see.

Okay, we've heard nothing since yesterday so I'm officially biting on the only possible lead we've had, which is that the video might be inspired by, or based on the same Slenderman myths, as marble hornets.

I am watching this one too. I noticed in the video that that right about the 24 second mark, when the vid goes to static that in the static is the word "Walking". I can not get a pic of it as I have crappy software and can not figure out how to download the vid. If anybody can get it go for it.

Also at the same point the static looks like what you would see on an equalizer. Not sure if its relevant but who knows.

Its not a very good picture but on the left side just less than half way down you can make out where it says "Walking"

Almost I guess. Sorry for the crappy pic. Laughing

Good eye, I hadn't noticed anything like that. So far there's been no reply to my PM on youtube, so either this isn't related to MH and the PM just didn't want to reply to a message that was completely off track, or they're just slow at checking/replying in general.

Anyone searched for a blog or something?

I have looked for blogs or any google hits for "Robert Aura", "Michael Aura" and "Marion Aura" (the wife). Nothing yet. I am also trying to figure out a way to do frame by frame for the video. I have downloaded it using google dloadhelper. But being new to ARG's its hard to figure out where to go next. Any suggestions?

I just sent a message to robert on Youtube telling him that I was sorry for his loss and letting him know that there are people willing to step up and help look for his son. I also asked if there were any other clues left behind and where he was when he disappeared.

Lets see if this generates anything.

Possibly, but at this point I'm not sure how it helps. It did occur to me as a slightly odd name, but then ARG characters often seem to have slightly unusual names, but its worth keeping it in mind in case it becomes relevant later.

two things about the name..

1. I googled different spellings of Roberts name, his wife and son and got nothing from any of it. (Dont know if that means anything)

2. Robert D. Aura sounds a bit like Robert D' Oro or "of Gold" so maybe google around Robert Gold?

I am out the door in a few so maybe I will jump on that when I get back.
