Giving it thought, Slendy would be the worst.
Masky is human. He gets shot in the face with a shotgun, he's dead.
Slendy on the otherhand... I think he'd let you shoot him, just so you can shit your self when it does nothing.

Plus, Masky may be in to home invasion and all of that, but if he's raping you, you'll remember it. If Slenderman has his way with you, not only will you have been raped, but you won't have any recollection as to why your ass is so sore.

Heh... Slenderman, the ultimate date rape drug...

I would now like to make it known that In no way do I condone rape, no matter how many jokes I make

I think... Slendy is creepier since he's the inhuman, tall monster with tentacles. But one thing I know about Masky, and the factor that makes me scared of it, is that Masky actually ATTACKS. Slendy was never shown touching Alex, neither J.
Anyway, the scariest thing that could happen is to be tackled by Masky, while seeing Slendy walking slowing towards me. If THAT happened, I'd officialy DIE on the spot.

so.. i was more scared of slendy until we watched #19 on the big screen (saying 65 freaking inches big screen) as my hunter/marine husband starts analizing how it looks like masky is part animal/creepo because he crouches like a crazy feline then springs and turns kinds sideways weird while hes attacking. yes he has seizures but his springy ass gets up fast....

P.s. 4 1/2 ft sock monkeys look like SM in the dark......

Ok, now WHY do they scare you?

Personally, Slenderman scares the shit out of me. I've always been REALLY paranoid and a bit of a wuss, but I'm addicted to scary stories/creepypasta and horror movies.

He exemplifies so much. That slow, creeping feeling you get when you think somethings behind you...you turn and see nothing, but is that really proof? Maybe he's hiding...

And the way he just...watches, not even attacking. Head cocked to the side like a curious child, claws twitching and twirling around each other as he just STANDS there, watching you...

*Shudder*

Out of the two, Slender Man is the more frightening in the long run -- figures of authority just Don't Run. There is something about the inevitable advancement that's Terminator-esque; when Slender Man locks on to you, you are going down, no matter how long it takes, no matter what obstacles you manage to throw in his way...

Entry #19 scared the bajeesus out of me with Masky crouching and leap/charging down the hall -- I've had horrible nightmares that went something like that. Accompanied with the audio sting when he's seen lurking with Jay, he makes one creepy little son'bitch... but he invokes more of an angry, 'you little fuckin' twerp!' reaction in me than an honest to god fear.

On a side note, does anybody else think that Slender Man and Masky resemble the monster-of-the-week 'The Gentlemen' from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Instead of the ridiculously smiley faces, SM has no face... but Masky's body language was similar (if less pronounced) than the Gentlemen's pet insane monster-people... and the way that SM enters Alex's room in #14 (fuck! that was another horrific moment!) is silent and unnervingly smooth in body language.

Even if he is scary as hell, at least SM's a sharp-dressed man.

Saw a video of the Gentleman, holy POO POO they do look like Slendy. And from what I've heard of the Gentleman's henchmen, theys ound like Masky.

I want to see MORE of Masky, and see him evolve as his own character.

I have a feeling that we're going to be able to see that soon. All indications point to another (perhaps final?!) confrontation within the next entry or two!

Slendy is horrifying, and I end up looking all around myself for him usually wherever I go. I often mistake hm for trees and the sillohuettes of people which freak me out immensely XD Masky, on the other hand, makes me so paranoid that he's going to show up around the next corner that I get deprived of sleep. Namely because I always sleep on one side, and I always get the feeling that Masky is on the other. =/

Haha I have my bed pushed against the wall and I've now taken to sleeping with my back completely against the wall. It's uncomfortable but now I can see both Masky and Slendy coming. So at least I have time now to scream before they get me.

Personally, though, Masky would be the more frightening of the two. It's a very very very close contest though. Either one would scare the living bejeezus out of me.

Masky is creepy and an oddity in himself but he seems human to me, which tones down the creepy a bit.

The Slender Man though creeps me right out though. Keep watching out for him during the night when walking and in the basement of my girlfriend's house (her room is downstairs, naturally) there are all these ground level windows which would just be perfect for the Slender Bro to be standing or peeking his head in.

He's an enigma, an unknown, just standing there (far creepier when he's standing still than when he's moving) maybe he can be hurt or defended against but who really knows at this point?

To me, Slenderman is creepier than Masky, but both have a scare factor of their own which makes them unique.

Slenderman is terrifying because he embodies what you MIGHT see when you go for that double take. You know when you drive past something in your car and it looks like a figure standing there, but you turn and it's nothing but empty air and some bushes?

That's Slenderman.

He's there because you perceive him to be, and in that way he is a very primal human fear to have. He's always there, he's always been there, he always will be there. But if you're not looking for him, he wont find you ANDOHMIGOD I THINK I JUST FIGURED OUT MARBLE HORNETS

So that was Slendy I was hearing on my late night bike rides along the river and it sounded like someone was walking quickly through the dead leaves?! D: That just makes that recollection ten million times more horrific!

So Jay just needs to beat this by calming from panic mode and pretending Slendy's not around anymore? Wink
