If it really is this hard to translate....is there a chance that IDGI would actually have someone who can speak or translate Ancient sumerian? Just a thought, this is only my 5th ARG so maybe i just dont understand how deep some of these things go.

Possibly, or that they were just able to hire someone who understood it. I don't pretend to know how deep ARGs can go since I've not even completed one all the way before, but it seems like it would be possible.

However, some of the symbols are not cuneiform, or atleast not like any I have seen before, specifically the circle shapes. So I doubt the actual meaning of the symbols is important beyond the part where we had to place them in boxes, but you never know.

I keep dipping in and out of lurking and playing this game because even if we're confidant we can figure out what the audio says etc. it doesn't seem to give us any more clues where to look etc. It feels like we're just waiting for more increasingly hard to decipher audio files and it can get pretty frustrating. Eh I guess. Lets hope not is all ill say. At any rate B6 seems like something that will come after we decipher the other part of the game. Speaking of which anyone garner any clue from the audio files yet?

Okay, so since progress wasn't properly saved (and I'd been accessing via the direct link until now) I was able to play the symbols-in-boxes game again and now I'm fairly sure that them being in the B6 thing is just to help you find where to put them - since the boxes are kinda showing you which symbols from which lines you need.

My only guess on the audio clips is they are all connected and that the two voices are the same two people in every post (one of them I could make out a euro accent on a few of the clips). Perhaps it's an extension of the timeline within the internet link, only done in an audio format??? -- as the internet link timeline ENDS January 1st, 2028 and all the dates we get from the audio clips are between January 6th and March 1st, 2028. Two voices, 95% of the time it seems one voice is one way and the other voice is backwards + the computer voice saying the dates. We have seen a few dates the same and so I figure each date is perhaps a single "timeline entry" that has been broken down into these single sentence audio clips and is then given to us at random by this bizarre person who calls us "seeker" and also seems to be very childish and is fucking with us for some reason -- and since we have two voices over a single date every time, there is some sort of connection between these two people (one clip even had both voices saying the exact same line at the same time - which is damn weird).

I count at least 7 or 8 different dates being said so far -- and if each date is a full paragraph (like the timeline within the internet icon)... this is going to go for quite a while. And then of course we have the impending March 1st date.... not only is it the "Milestone 3???", but it's also one of the dates within these audio clips. Its all driving me a little nuts Smile

Oh and DLT -- if you ask me mate, the audio clips are getting EASIER to figure out... perhaps the PM is noticing the trouble we're having with them. The first 2 or 3 were by far the toughest of them all so far. I still cant make anything of them as a whole though -- none of the words from one post seem to match any other post of the same date.

Enough babbling from me, back to work!!

Well, I sorta agree they're getting easier. 0xx02 is utter nonense to me, beside the date, then they seemed to get easier between 3 and about 8, and from then on they seemed to get harder again, atleast to me.

Anyway, I've an idea, sort of. I have listened to all files, backwards and forwards, and noted everything I heard/thought I heard + the date I think it says. I feel that if we all do this we might pick up on things that others miss + confirm things if lots of us hear the same thing.

Here are my results to this, from 0x0014 to 0xx02 - was there ever an 0xx01?

Quote:
0xx014 - March 1 2028???

Foward mostly indecipherable, It sounds like music.

Reversed: "With any luck after tonight."

0xx013 - January 21st 2028

Deep voice seems to say "Kill" or "kill him", followed by a click, maybe a radio/walky-talky type thing?

Reversed: seems to say "myself, I wouldn't."

Forward: sounds like "I can't I don't think I can"

Rest is indecipherable.

0xx012 - February 15th, 2028

Forward: Gunshot? Otherwise IND (too lazy to keep writing indecipherable!)

Backward: "I've been noticing some irregularities"

0xx011 - January/February? 21st 2028

Forward: "More precise" (precisely?) ... "the same assuming"

Reverse: Indecipherable except "two days"

0xx010 - January 25th 2028?

I can only make out two words, both going forward, "May" and "Why?"

0xx09 - February 10th? 2028

Reverse: "was hand written" - something about an address?

0xx08 - January 6th 2028

Forward: Read through the employee files

Reverse: IND

0xx07 - February 24th 2028

Forward: "Wish I was imagining things"

Reverse "Went to the core"

0xx06 - February 15th 2028

Forward: Gunshot? "Work was tedious as ever" - said by two voices at once.

0xx05 - February 25th 2028

Forward: "Yeah anyway"

Reverse: "The entire day" ... "We will"?

0xx04 - February 10th 2028

Forward: "I get the feeling that someone as washington is just screwing with me"

Reverse: "Just before she left she told me the strangest thing though."

0xx03 - February 15th 2028

Forward: "She told me to watch my back"

Reverse: "Seven days now since somebody might've shown me the proof"

0xx02 - February? 20? 2028

Completely IND.

0xx01? - March 1st 2028

Otherwise IND

If enough of us do this, perhaps we can group the dates like you say and see if we can get any sensible paragraphs out of this. The different sounding voices might just be tempo changes (which, if done subtly enough, can make it sound like two voices) so you may be right about needing to join together all the lines we hear.

Kickass idea -- I'll do the same hopefully tomorrow when I get some time. It seems alot of what you are getting is very close to what I was hearing as well. Also yeah... I don't think there ever was a 0xx01-- maybe we'll get that one at the end?? It would be a great way to let us know when its done.

Funny, next 3 zip files are out but....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Now it has skipped from audio file 14 up to 17 and 18 (No clue what has happened to 15 and 16.) Also you get a Youtube search http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDlC7oG_2W4 which takes you to a tool video. Not really sure what to do with that. Also when playing the 0xx017 and 0xx018 they both stop about 15seconds in and lockup windows media player lol......This ARG is reminding me alot of The Majestic way back. Oh and it seems like the one labled do.zip has nothing in it.

Okay, located 0xx01, seems I managed to miss downloading that. I'll edit my post with what I can hear - not that there's much to add, I can only hear the date. Laughing

Edit: @TrueEyes, 15 and 16 are hiding in those other zip files somewhere, keep looking. Razz

Yep, can confirm they are definitely there:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
0xx015 - ___.zip > do > you > like > MUSIC?.zip > 0xx015.wav (though you can fine this file by following any path you like, they all seem to lead to MUSIC?.zip, and there seems to be a MAC OS folder in this one for people on MACs, no idea why, but someone with a mac might want to check if the .txt file in there is the same as the txt file in the other folder.)

0xx016 - do.zip > do > you > like > GAMES? > 0xx016.zip > 0xx016.wav

Anyway, my analysis of the latest files:

Quote:
0xx015_ - January 24th 2028

Forward: "Shit don't feel right"

Reverse: "It had to be done, I know that now"

0xx016_ - January 15th 2028

Forward: "Today was like yesterday" - repeated lots of times. Laugh at end

Reverse: "And the day before that" - also repeated/looped.

Sounds like music/a beat in the background.

0xx017 - January? Febuary? 7th 2028

Foward: IND, seems the tempo is severly slowed but speeding it doesn't seem to make it make sense

Backwards: "Once Sarah finally left me side that is"? First mention of any name, who's Sarah? Unless I misheard. Razz
Also "Its time to think that maybe"

0xx018 - February/January? 28th 2028

Forward: "How is it they've been working towards"?

Reverse: "Aiding and protecting"? Seems after it says it the first time it repeats but its cut off alot

Edit: I think we were linked that youtube video for a reason (obviously Razz) and I think the lyrics are a clue ... you can check them out here http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Lateralus-lyrics-Tool/D879C6BEFCA2AA0548256A57002CF25C but here is the part I think it perhaps most important:

Quote:

Over thinking, over analyzing,
separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, leaving opportunities behind.

and/or

Over thinking, over analyzing,
separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I had to extract the files a different way to find 15 and 16 which is weird since 17 and 18 and all those before were fine. At any rate im guessing Tools lyrics are telling us basically we dont have to translate ancient sumerian text? lol Seems like alot of this so far is just prep for something that will be happening in Febuary and March by all the dates im hearing from audio clips, of course the year is a bit off Confused
