Update. We get to hear the tape that the latest journal entry was talking about (in which Capt. Ferrence sticks up for Mark, all right Captain!)... and the compass is REALLY excited now.

The SitS summary threads on the 2k forums would probably be a lot of help: http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48853

If you're on the "nixie tubes" part of the box:

Wow, for starters, Capt. Ferrence is a total badass. Aside from that, sadly, I'm pretty sure he's bad. When's the last time someone stuck up for you at gunpoint without some secret agenda?

Well, Sylocat once saved me from this crazy-ass duckling and.... oops, off topic.

I'm keeping up SOME hope that Ferrence is the real-deal as it were. That was pretty damn hardcore. I loved it when he called the Commies he's transporting "bourgeois" - awesome.

I was hoping you hadn't forgotten that. I may call in a favor someday... Wink

Yeah, he was already a suspect and we now know he's a bit unbalanced, making him evil on top of that would just be a little too obvious.

In other news, we have an update today. Looks like a crewmember sighted a submarine with some new Little Sisters on it, but by the time the others got there, all that was left was the dinghy... and they're investigating.

And the compass is REALLY going to town now.

Update: Mark has made a recording of the Italian as he spotted "eyes" in the water and heard giggling of little girls. Looks like the little sisters left behind a dinghy. I think Mark's adventures on the boat may soon end.

You sure you have the right translation? The symbols are in alphabetical order. Also, how many rows of tubes do you have?

2, if you mean the light things with the symbols lighting up in them. It's just the last code that won't work for me now, the other three worked :I

New update! A photo on the desk, apparently of the dinghy. It has another Big Daddy doll in it, and a letter. It's hard to make out some of the code letters (it's a bit small), but I think the code says "HIDE AND SEEK DADDY YOU ARE GETTING WARMER," and then it says in plain English, "Look For the Big Bright Light!!!" and has a picture of the lighthouse on it.

Sadly, that's the entire update tonight (except that the compass is practically dancing a jig now), and we're down to less than 2 weeks left...
