Trout This was mentioned a bunch in the original Trailhead, and in many other places as well.

Alex has already stated in Entry #22 that he was going to burn them, so I'm inclined to believe Jay on this one.

 		so, i just recently discovered the Marble Hornets videos and im extremely intrigued.
just so im clear, are we assuming this is real? or that this is some sort of staging?

Well, the purpose of trout is to respectfully inform someone that they have mistakenly mentioned something that has already been discussed, so if I thought you'd read it before, I wouldn't have trouted you. =/

I'm sorry I offended.

And Marble Hornets is a fictional series (as far as anyone can tell =P) which is kind of like an ARG. You can pretend it's real, believe it's real, or enjoy it as a work of fiction.

 		Forgive me if this has been posted yet, I'm new to the game and haven't gotten much of a chance to skim through this topic. Rolling Eyes

I know that the general consensus seems to be that TTA is Masky, but I think they're two different people; totheark has been sending J responses since the beginning, but Masky only started showing up after entry 18.

My theory is that J went to interview Tim, who the entire time was acting a little bit evasive. After that, J gets a tip to go to the house. Tip from who? Maybe Tim, hoping to catch him unaware? I think Tim has been donning the mask for some reason; maybe he's a pawn of Slender Man?

Plus, Tim was taking those pills, right? If he's Masky, Masky was in J's house, he had every opportunity to steal the bullet casing, empty the pill bottle, and scratch off the label.

And for some reason, I think TTA is Seth. He disappeared in entry 22, and TTA has said in some responses that he has something important, and that someone was half-right when they asked if he has been the one videotaping. Seth only taped sometimes, more often than not, it was Alex taping.

I dunno, just speculating. /twocents

Yeah, that's been discussed before, but with 300+ pages, what hasn't?

I'm still in the camp that totheark isn't Masky; mostly because I believe totheark to be helping Jay, whereas Masky seems to be entirely malevolent thus far. Masky is almost definitely Tim, and I believe it foolish to assume otherwise at this point, but that doesn't necessarily make him totheark.

Seth is still my #1 candidate for totheark, mostly because of the "coincidence" of Regards and Entry #9*, and also because Alex said Seth and his camera were missing after the events of Entry #22.

I have to agree. There is just too much contradiction to follow the
"Masky=TTA" theory. Also, TTA, in my mind, is most definitely Seth. Your reasons are pretty much the same as my own.

Oh, and just so everyone knows, Baron's coincidence seems TOTALLY PLAUSIBLE TO ME

When you message a character (such as Jay or TTA) you talk as if it were real. On here, we all know it's just a web series. Think of it like roleplaying, or a play with a little possible audience involvement, though there's verry little of it.

 		Well if TTA and Masky ARE NOT the same person.. then they "talk" because how would TTA have known that Jay was taping himself if he wasnt/doesnt know Masky. Masky popped into his room and was taped sitting like a crazy person on the "dresser" and Ninja stalking him under the window... THE TTA said "You have been keeping secrets" and Jay tells us hes been taping himself.. *but the footage is from before TTAs post.*

*SIDE: If you watch entry 19 and look at the window when Jay is just laying down for bed. Masky is standing outside looking in. Shocked *

That's... actually a good point. I never thought of that before. =/

One of my theories was that totheark is being held hostage by Masky in (or is otherwise unable to leave) Brian's house. That could make it possible that maybe totheark overheard Masky talking about it to himself (since we know he's pretty much insane). That ties into the possibility of the figure in Admission being a sleepwalking Tim/Masky, and totheark managed to catch it on film. None of totheark's Responses have been filmed outside of the house, except those that were from Alex's tapes or filmed 3 years ago.

If that theory of mine is correct, that could make it possible. Although, so could a lot of things. Maybe totheark is filming Masky too, and THAT'S how he found out? =P

Unless maybe TTA was referring to a different secret? One that Jay is still keeping?

As for the speculation as to the identities of who is what... I'm curious to see if this pans out. For some reason I didn't recognize Seth in any of the films. He seemed like he popped up in Entry 22 quite randomly to me. o.o I'll have to look through #9 again. Does Seth show up in any of the other entries?
