Hell, it's possible the cast only realized that themselves in time to delay a bit. That or they're getting carried away with putting stress on how bad Jay's getting.

Speaking of which, we know he's a very unreliable narrator, is it possible he's wrong about how long ago he got the tapes?

Trout This was mentioned a bunch in the original Trailhead, and in many other places as well.

Alex has already stated in Entry #22 that he was going to burn them, so I'm inclined to believe Jay on this one.


Also, judging by previous entries, he'd tell us the day he was going. Something like "Going to the house today." or "Going tomorrow for sure.", which would come out to the same end.

 		I wasn't wondering about how he got the tapes, I think he honestly did save them from burning, I just have my doubts as to how long ago he got them.

Of course, I wouldn't doubt that Alex was gonna burn them. I also agree that I'm starting to wonder about WHEN Jay got them as well.

It was before Entry 22 took place, because that seems to have occurred after Alex had moved. But does that mean Seth moved with him?

Ohhhh I see. Well, my previous statement sort of covers that. =P

I don't think Jay is as unreliable as everyone says he is. Granted, he's got some memory problems going on right now, but I think when totheark said Jay can't be trusted, he was saying that because he's human, he can't be trusted.

Also, I believe Entry #22 took place after he ran away to hide at Brian's house, not after he moved away altogether.

Im kinda thinking maybe he got the tapes. Alex went on one more escapade got the freak scared out of him and hid the final tape in the tower.

OOOOR Masky stole the tape. LOL its a possibility.

Yeah, how that final tape got there is a bit of a mystery in itself. My theory is that totheark (Seth) somehow acquired it from Alex before he gave the tapes to Jay. He then held onto it, along with whatever tapes he has now, and recently planted it there for Jay to find. That would mean that he was probably the one to write those papers Jay found at Brian's house, or at least the one to write "AT THE TOWER" on it.

Haha, that reminds me of when somebody said that "ATTHETOWER" is an anagram for "TOTHEWATER". Maybe that's Masky's name? =P

I am so stoked for tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be a Twitterfest like when he went to the tower, but at the same time, I feel like it's more likely gonna be "Leaving for the house now" at 12:30pm or so, and then we won't hear back from him until Thursday evening.

 		I think that there are still more tapes to be found. Alex says (somewhere, 22 I believe) that he filled the trunk of his car with the tapes. In the intro, Jay says he found the tapes stashed away in the back of his closet, which, judging from the size of his room in 19, could not have been very big. Jay said there were also, literally "countless" hours of footage. Given that each dv tape is an hour long, that would mean there were hundreds of tapes. Not something you easily misplace and forget about.

I think that Alex is still hiding stuff from us.

Good observation. Especially if he was taping himself 24/7 for 3 weeks... Thats like... 504 one hour tapes... now the tapes we have for our video camera are 3 hours long.. even then thats still 168 tapes. And thats jsut of him taping himself.. not even the footage of the actual project. Hmmmm....

My thoughts exactly. Although I'm hoping for a meeting with totheark, or more conflict with Masky; finding more tapes would not only be interesting, but it would be an effective way to prolong the series. "Oh, our main character is out of tapes? Well, give him some more!"

The only problem is, I feel like we've seen all we can see from past tapes. We've seen Alex getting stalked by Slender Man various times, we've seen him acting more stressed/aggressive than usual, and we've seen that Masky is Tim. We've also seen the final tape he made. What else could there be that would still be relevant? I suppose the fates of each of the characters that were supposedly "gone" after Entry #22 could be elaborated on, though.

Also, I'm almost certain Jay will bump into totheark somehow while he's there, as totheark did say "awaiting your arrival".

 		New to this forum and MH, but I've read through a lot of these threads and forgive me if I repost something. I'm also at work so I can't check the vids for reference.

I have a feeling that the MH cast and crew (Alex, Tim, Brian, Sarah, etc.) are being controlled by something, maybe hypnosis. It was reported that Tim had dark circles under his eyes much like J's in TTA's "Return" video. Also, the girl's voice saying "Alex" in one of TTA's could be Sarah. Maybe they've all tried to search for Alex and came to the same fate?

How are we sure that it was Slender Man in Alex's room after he falls asleep? It could be Masky, considering he broke in when J was sleeping also.

The blood on the floor and in the sink could be Alex' from whatever got his head busted up.

Again, I aplogize if any of this has already been discussed.

If you're talking about Entry #11, it's assumed it's Slender Man because he's sighted when Alex goes downstairs. If you meant Entry #14, it's fairly obvious that it's Slender Man on camera.

That's an interesting idea. I don't think they were searching for Alex, though. I think if they were all searching for anything, it'd be Slender Man, and the reason they got sick/blacked out.

That leads me to another theory I've heard: We have Alex was blacking out and becoming aggressive/stressed out, which can be attributed to Slender Man stalking him. We've seen no evidence that Tim or Jay on their own were being stalked by Slender Man, yet we know they were both sick. Maybe Tim and Jay are/were both being stalked by totheark, and that's the reason they've been getting sick. Maybe Tim succumbed to totheark and/or his illness which turned him into Masky, and Jay is meant to be next.

I don't really like that theory though, as it would mean that totheark is a bad guy.

Ah, you're right. I've seen the videos a bunch of times, but it was all at once so for now, it's hard to tell which entry is which since I'm without YouTube right now.

Would you consider the "Return" video as J being stalked by SM?

Jay said he was given the tapes, which he stashed in the back of his own closet,three years after Alex gave them to him. You could be right, but I don't think so. I think Jay got them all (but a select few) and tossed the box in to his closet for a 'rainy day' and forgot about them.

 		Hello everyone! I've just registered, and this is the first ARG I've followed. Anyways, down to business.

I was thinking about totheark's responses, namely 'listentoitall' (in response to Kiriyama asking: What do you want us to LISTEN?) and 'youare halfright' (in response to Slayer_22's question: 'You seem to have audio for something. You are showing videos of audio that seem to fit with the videos. If you have the audio, you must have been the one taking them from the videos, No?').

Could listentoitall suggest that the each of the audio files played in totheark's responses is actually part of a larger audio file that has been fragmented? totheark's responses are much too short to fill an entire video's worth of silence alone, and though the second response (could) strongly suggests that the audio files fit with the videos, could it be that the audio fits with ONE video in particular?
