Does anyone else think it was weird that masky kept running from Jay? That's very unlike masky, seeing as their first meeting he attacked Jay. Then followed him and went so far as to be in his bed while we was sleeping. Masky is a bold person. I just find it odd that when he has Jay cornered in the bathroom, then again in the bedroom, he runs away, instead of attacking.

I don't think he was running away in fear. I think he was running away to lead Jay around.

True, yeah, that makes a bit more sense than my theory.

I don't think that Jay was teleporting. I think he was passing out. That first, prolonged blackout, everything seemed to fall forward. Like he'd been conked on the head, which could explain his head being so swimmy. The guy has a concussion after being beaten upside the head so often!

Now, this next theory might not be as popular. It's been brought up that J and Masky might be different guys along the same timeline. But what if they're both the Slenderman as well? Bear with me. In that one TTA clip, we see J sitting in a hall. Another guy here bought up the idea that it isn't TTA filming present J, but that it's future J, and the darkened circles drawn on his eyes were to make his face more like the mask.

Now, what if that's more of a metaphysical thing?

You take his face. You make it more and more like the mask, until his face /is/ the mask. He can take it on and off, but without it, there's nothing there. A transformation into a faceless being with odd powers. If there's truly a time warp factor in there, it could explain why Slendy hung around Alex so much. He's confused, wondering what's going on, and wants answers from his friend. However, his mind's been warped so much that he's turned out to be malevolent.

Could someone try to get a pic of this?

I found MH and JAFool about two weeks ago and have been following MH since (JAFool seems to have stopped?), so I'm pretty new, but I just wanted to throw in there that I thought these images looked like a guy holding a camera... like Seth, which may give us more for the time warp theory. At first I thought it could be a reflection of Jay, but since the person in front of him has no flashlight, that wouldn't be accurate.

That's about all I got, though, other than I wanna know what the white thingermajig is inside the pipe (slendydoll, piece of paper?).

Lolwhut. Believing in this theory takes so many unwarranted leaps in logic I can't keep up any more.

Also, I'm pretty sure the creators are Something Awful goons in real life, so I don't know if they'd mess with the Slender Man mythos that much.

Am I the only one (probably...but I'll forge on anyway) who thinks that the "Seth" and "Hello" we hear are both Slendy? What if he's trying to communicate and is mimicking what he's heard of the human language, and he's trying to mimic what he's heard of it?

I thought it was Masky/TTA who was doing that, but the "hello" thing happens RIGHT before Slendy attacks Jay, so I think it's him.

Even if I were to follow that one, Masky has eyeballs. You can see them every time he's present.

Scanned through the other pages, and didn't see anyone catch these, but at 4:54, Jay clearly shines his light on a SlenderBlur. Check it out.

Just something else to add to the whole "being stalked in the SlenderBasement" atmosphere.

Okay, I rewatched Entry #23 with the teleportation/time travel theories in mind. There does seem to be some paranormal stuff going on what with the always ending up in the same room thing, but maybe J was just disorientated? Its too hard to be sure whether he is actually going in a different door each time IMHO because he stumbles around so much, along with the distortion.

As for the transportation to the area in Entry #22... its hard to be sure. True that in the past if the characters have blacked out/don't remember things, the camera still captures events, and in this case the camera doesn't capture any sense of being moved to this place either, which seems to suggest being "teleported" there somehow, but the heavy distortion on the camera means it could just mean that the camera didn't capture the moving.

However, I am entirely ruling out time travel as a narrative device in this series, because unless I am mistaken, the theories of time travel started because people heard the third voice say "Seth?" which they thought was Alex from Entry #22, and that meant J was taken back in time to that point.

However, I hear this:

5:14 Jay says Hello

5:19 "Hello" played back deeper/slowed down

6:15: "Hello" played back again slightly higher

So yeah. If this has been covered before then sorry, I have read this thread and hadn't yet seen anyone contest the "Seth?" thing.

I do think this is worth noting:

Slendy == no face

Masky --> mask == face

Maybe there is some sort of connection? MAYBE YOU PUT THE MASK ON SLENDY TO KILL HIM! oh I'm just spewing bullshit now Sad although it would make it make sense why Masky can live in the house without getting fucked over.

Edit: to get serious, though, maybe the mask does give some sort of protection from Slendy, and Masky hanging it on the door was like a "take this, you'll need it" sort of thing?

I'm still not seeing it Sad. Is there any way to unblur it, at least to an extent? Or was the camera moving too fast to get a good frame?

Does anyone have any clue on what was on the bathroom floor around 3:40, it seems to cause the major audio distortion. It looks kinda like a purplish eye or mouth.

Did anyone else notice how in this Entry and in Entry 18 that Jay found the doll just before seeing Masky?

And why has no one made the note about Jay finding the pills again?

I sense some kind of connection between the Slendy doll, the pills, and Masky....

I don't think anyone has mentioned the car.

The car he gets out of at the beginning looks like the car from 6. Jay said it isn't his/he's never seen it but we've been told time and time again about trusting him exactly.

Another thing I noticed is when he is supposedly looking at Slenderman and there's a lot of twisting and blur going on (pictures above), the figure disappears after a few seconds. Right before it disappears you can see what seems like a figure slide across the camera pretty quickly.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the distorted laughter right before he says hello in the basement either.
