I have a bit of an odd theory. Here goes nothing to try and describe it:

-We believe that Jay might be time travelling due to the fac tthat he ended up going in daylight, and then having darkness somehow fall between the cut.

-People are claiming that they hear Alex call for 'Seeeth?' when Jay is in the basement thing.

-Masky left his mask hanging from the doorframe in plain sight for Jay to find, and was then not seen again in the entire video.

-Jay somehow ended up back at his house, terrified and confused.

I believe that Masky's mask is going to end up in Jay's home before long. I believe that Masky IS in fact Jay himself.

This is because I think Masky is the future Jay, being manipulated by Slender-Man into manipulating himself into becoming Masky.

It's an enormous paradox, but one which would not be unlikely within the MH and Slender-Man universes, IMO.

Masky is Slender-Man's helper, who goes about 'collecting' a victim for Slender-Man and then leading that person into discovering his(Slender-Man's) secrets.

Perhaps, then, each person who encounters Slender-Man has their own personal "Masky", who is themself manipulated by Slender-Man into being his servant. Perhaps this is where all his victims go to. They become a 'Masky' and then when they have finished turning themselves into that, Slender-Man disposes of them. Which is when the bodies turn up. Very Happy

Found out about SM a few days ago and have been reading and watching feverishly ever since. All I know about it is jafool and MH, which I think are part of the same canon? So if we take jafool to be true and part of the same mythos as MH, then why has MH's Slendy been so benign up to now? He seems bewildered more than malevolent. Even in the videos where he seems to be chasing Alex, he demonstrates an ability to move very quickly (or be in several places at once) but never catches him.

Also, the Return video shows Slendy walk towards the camera, then turn away at the last second, without attempting to harm either J or the cameraman. Then who was camera? The only other thing we've seen that can be near Slendy without going crazy is Masky, so TTA = Masky = Alex? Given the mad editing skillz and knowledge of old films we'd guess it's someone with a background in film, so would be either Jay or Alex. If it's not Alex it must be J during his blackouts (the idea of a time travelling J makes everything too complicated; it raises the possibility that he could tweet/post videos from the past, which would be cool but impossible OOG).

Also, I haven't seen much mention of it so it might have an obvious explanation, but what's the object on the floor at 3:16 and 3:23? Looks like a body to me, and it wasn't there in E16.

Just ordered House of Leaves and am checking TTA's youtube constantly. This is awesome.

Whenever I look at that frame, the attached image is what I see... I don't know if that makes him scarier or not. XD

Can someone catch a frame of this 'Slendy throwing a body at Jay' bit? I totally didn't see it. o_O

As for Slendy not doing anything, Nothing Is Scarier... the fact that he warps tape (er, I mean digital cameras and the like) and putrifies people's heads whenever he gets too near ought to be terrifying enough, eh?

XD Maybe Slendy's a psychic projection of a Cthulic entity trying to impersonate mankind.

Still not sure about Masky or TTA's part in this, or why they would be reacting as they do. Perhaps Masky made the SM doll for himself, attacked Jay when he saw Jay poking it in 16 or 18 or whatever, and in 23 he dropped the doll when he was surprised by Jay wandering around upstairs?

I do like the idea of leaving the mask as a 'it will be dangerous, take this!' sort of thing. He was so adamant earlier that Jay not remove the mask. Why leave it behind on purpose like that now?

Lastly, I noticed the low pitched chuckling before the first 'hello?'. Creepy as hell! Where'd the parrot get a laugh like that? I doubt that anyone was laughing like that in the basement/underworld/whatever, so if it's Slendy snatching and emitting back human noises, he had to get it from somewhere else...

This might be me putting something into the entry that isn't there, but if you listen starting at 5:50, when Jay is on the stairs, you can hear someone take multiple footsteps when Jay takes maybe one.

Who these footsteps belong to I don't know.

I notice that noone has mentioned the "laughing" that occurs at 5:12 - 5:13 near the end of the distortion.
