I search for people when I hear a horrible howl eminating from the trees.

"He has begun the hunt. He wants their blood. He watches. They will soon die. I must stop him here."

I checked to see if my weapons were properly loaded and continued searching the houses.

The Ghost eventually settled into another tree, watching the group. Then he heard a shuffling in the trees; the Masked One was here. And behind him... the white-haired one, who was aware of the Ghost's presence, following at a pitiful pace. Hmm... he would allow this, for now. If he got to be too much of a pest, they would kill him or bring him to the Tall One, either would work. And now the elder apprentice joined the Ghost, a nearly unheard-of event outside the Tall One's presence; the very first time their objectives had converged.

However, they had a slight problem: to save the boy for the Tall One and get rid of the S-Walkers simultaneously. The Ghost looked to the Masked One, cocking his head, as if asking, "What now?"

'Damn.'

It was clearly too late to keep up with the Masked Man, as he and the Painted-Faced One met up on the other side of the road, too deep in the trees for Terrence to follow and too fast, as well.

Instead, he sprinted on his side of the road a little further down, getting as close enough as he could to listen in on the group of military officials' discussions without being seen or heard himself. He listened as the young, brown-haired boy quizically sought answers as to what was going on, and felt a rush of sadness come over him.

Here he was, a grown man who had never known anything but The Tall One and his mysteries, and still he understood nothing more than this young boy did. The Tall One had always haunted him, and had taken from him a life he never had a chance to experience.

Anger built up in Terrence's throat and chest, until he decided he needed to make contact with the military group to have any hopes of getting things done. But, for now, he would have to wait ntil their nerves were calmed. Heaven knew what they might do to him if they thought he had uttered the inhuman roar.

Name: Thomas (Thom) McCoy

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance: I'm-a prolly gonna draw him. For now: small and skinny, with a mop of dark brown curls and grey eyes. He dresses smartly most of the time, and wears glasses.

Items/Weapons/Abilities: No 'proper' weapons. He's taken to carrying a kitchen knife with him lately. He also seems to somehow have some form of chocolate with him at all times - he has a sweet tooth. And his special ability is logical thinking, teamed with an acceptance that if something hasn't been disproved, it's a possibility. And he's very clever.

Bio: Thom was involved with the Internet investigation of Marble Hornets, and was very disappointed when it 'disappeared', but thought nothing more of that.
He's now a 'self-employed Private Investigator', which means he sticks his nose in where it doesn't belong, although he has been hired to solve issues in the past.
Even though Marble Hornets was some time ago, he has retained an interest in the myth of the Slenderman. The local disappearances, combined with the fact that he's been having uncharacteristic blackouts lately, have him rather worried.
THOM INVESTIGATES~~~

Thom groaned as he awoke, rubbing the back of his head.

"Ow..." He mumbled, not really sure whether he wanted to open his eyes just yet. These blackouts were becoming more and more frequent; worse, the last few times, he'd found himself in different places around his flat.

He opened his eyes.

Then he closed his eyes, rubbed at them, and opened them again.

He was in the forest. How did he get to the forest? This was ridiculous. More importantly, his trousers were all muddy, and there were dead leaves in his shirt. And where was his tie? Thom groaned again, this time more in despair than discomfort, and pushed himself from his sitting position to a standing one. Admittedly, a rather wobbly standing one, but standing nonetheless.

He turned in a slow circle, trying to figure out where exactly he was, and when he was facing the tree he had been propped up against, froze.

Well now.

Thom had not seen that symbol in a long time.

Suddenly he felt sick and tired and afraid; this was stupid, it had only been a passing thought, a little joke for himself. 'Of course the Slenderman isn't taking those people, of course my blackouts are entirely unrelated.' Wasn't that what he'd told himself, only hours before?

But there it was, staring him in the face, a symbol which no one he knew would have thought to carve into a tree, a symbol clearly meant for Thom alone to find.

A circle with a cross through it.

"Shit." He mumbled.

((OOC: I'd say he's probably not too far from the factory. /shrug.

And sorry it's so long, too. I dunno, I get carried away when I write.))

Stephen looked around cautiously. He didn't notice anything. But he was panicked, he didn't look around close enough. He looked over at Mia and shook his head. He got up, looked around again, and started walking cautiously to the house.

Name:Samantha LeCarde

Age: 18

Appearance: 5'7", short, shaggy brown hair, green eyes, she's built like a dancer, skinny but strong.

Items/Weapons/Mad Skillz: She doesn't like fighting, but she gets that it's very dangerous out, so she carries a pocket knife, and a very bright flashlight. She's a Journalism student, focusing on Photography, so she's also got a pretty nice Cannon (which I lack IRL, so forgive me if I get anything wrong with it), along with another, much older camera, that she purchased from a flea market two years ago while on a family trip to Japan. She's not quite sure what exactly is so special about the "Camera Obscura", or why she brought it, along with several boxes of film for it. Maybe it will come in handy? At any rate, she's always been fond of old cameras, and an abandoned town was sure to look amazing on such an old thing.

Bio: Ever since she was little, Sam could feel things. Emotions, energy, whatever it is. She can't see things, though. Only feel them. Sam watched Marble Hornets from a distance, and wasn't too actively involved with the investigation outside of general discussions. She was, on the other hand, very worried when it just ended. As a Journalism Student, she decided to track down as much information on the Slender Man as she could, and, in light of the recent events, is putting her photography skills to use. She wants to document as much of this as she can, in case she doesn't make it. She lived about half an hour away from the town, and decided to check it out when she got wind of the military action. Her car broke down about a mile and a half from the factory.

(If a camera that can exorcise ghosts is too much, let me know and I'll gladly have her trip and drop it down a stairwell or lose it. I feel really awkward jumping in so late, but then there's always someone who's late to the game, right?)

"Shit" Sam had the hood of her car up, and judging by the amount of Steam (or was it smoke?) pouring out, it wasn't going anywhere.

"Well, guess I'm walking the rest of the way". Sam began to rummage through her back seat, her backpack/camera bag was already loaded with her Professional Camera, some snacks, and her first-aid kit. She hesitated for a moment, before packing that old clunker of a camera, and four boxes of the film, it was odd film, two boxes were labeled with "Type-14", one was "Type-63", the last was "Type-90", but all of it somehow gave her a sense of calm, like it could somehow keep her safe. Once she was sure she had everything she needed, she shut her back door, lowered the hood, and locked up her car.

Ignoring the sense of...danger? Terror? Whatever it was, Sam began walking.

The Masked One looked at them, a childlike curiousity evident in the way it held itself. It looked back at it's younger "brother" for a moment, then turned and walked further into the trees, repeating the gesture the Tall One had done.

They'd go for a bit, and lull the people into thinking they were safe. Then, when they settled down...

Guys, try not to post until after someone who IS posting is done, and remember to count what other people are doing into it. God forbid if it devolves into over 9000 individual plots all ignoring each other.

I don't mind if people have they're own stories, it's when characters NEXT to each other ignore each other that it gets a bit weird.

I hope mine doesn't count as that. Sad I was trying my best to be involved but from a distance, setting up my own character as someone who would be 'introduced' to the others as soon as was convenient.

It strikes me that it's becoming a jumble of characters.

To be more fair, the RP could be divided into sections such as; within the city; in the forest; in the warehouses; any other sections we can think of. This makes it so things are more even and distributed and not a clusterfuck of stuff.

Characters could pass from section to section at will but never interact with a character in a different section to themselves. Characters like Slendy, Masky, and Ghost could pretty much be wherever they are needed.

I think that would help significantly with the chaos. Smile

EDIT: Although, this might require multiple topics...

God help you, Tyran, for taking up the GM hat in an RP without plotting some things out. XD

You might want to contact some people involved with the RP by private message who you think have some solid ideas, and brainstorm with them, and break them into teams with other characters around them.

For example, one group could be tracking Slendy, a second group could be on the run, a third group could be investigating clues about something they have no answers for yet, etc. Have some interactivity between the groups, and get a vague sense with the leaders about where this is going.

Don't try to railroad it or anything, just take some control and help to direct the flow of the game and it will feel less chaotic.

I'm sorry I can't help more... a Slendy RP could be pretty fun. I'm way too busy these days to do much RPing though!

Mia watched the boy shake his head and start moving towards the house. She bit her lip. She was getting colder and it seemed like it was getting harder to see. Was it her eyes, or just the fog?

Suddenly something flashed in the window of the house across from the one she was in. "Wait!" she gasped, pointing at it and trying to alert the guy heading towards her refuge. "There! There's something there!"

Okay, I'm confused. It's being implied that there's something near Mia and Stephen (Steven? Sorry, I get it mixed up) so I went with it but Slendy and Masky and Ghostie aren't near there, are they? Help Sad
