The Events so Far (SPOILERS ABOUND)
New to this experience? Be sure to read this thread and see what you missed!

Hey everyone. So, we are quickly approaching the one year anniversary of the opening of the Jejune Institute. And within this past year, much and I do mean MUCH has happened.

Obviously some newer initiates missed some events that occurred this year, and this is just fine, there will be plenty of nonchalant adventures in the future.

After some behind-the-curtain discussion with the puppetmasters of the experience, we have been told that there will be four acts. As of this post, we are in-between the second and third act. Here is the breakdown of the experience so far, from start to finish.

The Rabbit hole
- http://tinyurl.com/pguu5j

ACT 1: THE INITIATION
This is the players' introduction to the Institute, and the opening of this experience. The initiation takes players on a scavenger-esque hunt across San Francisco's financial district and China town. Leading players to a password to be entered on the JI webpage. During the experience, we are introduced to Eva, a girl who has been missing since 1988.

Break #1: St. Thaddeus
Through the password entered on the JI website, players were greeted with a countdown clock. Once the timer reached zero, players were instructed to visit the St. Thaddeus shrine. Hobo-glyphs lead players to a box containing various nick-knacks and a video of the St. Thaddeus "miracle" watch video here: http://tinyurl.com/owgzcn
Note: This event did not play directly into the JI lore. It was simply a placeholder for people who completed the initiation quickly. These type of tasks are often placed into ARG's for the players who want a little more depth, but is not necessary for casual players to complete.

ACT #2: ELSEWHERE PUBLIC WORKS/RADIO NONCHALANCE
During the first act, players found themselves receiving cryptic messages from a organization named Elsewhere Public Works. During the height of the messages, the EPWA website was updated to what is seen today: http://tinyurl.com/cj2jxj

An ebay item also was presented to the players, a real-life vital orbit human force field. This device was supposedly stolen from the institute, and sold for profit. Also, the seller of the item announced he would send the blueprints to anyone who asked. On the back of these blueprints, a barcode held a secret command to be inputted into the EPWA BBS system.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The command displayed a transcript of a discussion between a few members of the EPWA. There Blair Lucien (eva's father) hinted that he would pass notes to his daughter and leave them in a book at the Mission Branch Public Library for her to find at a later date. The book and note are still available for viewing at the library. This note also lead to another note left for Eva at the SF wave organ. Again, this event was not necessary for players to complete, it just added to the experience for some.

The EPWA then proceeded to promote their new radio station: Radio Nonchalance via fliers, stickers, e-mails, and text messages. Transmitting on 107.9 in the upper dolores park area, agents could hear messages from the leader of EPWA, Commander 14. In this broadcast, listeners were instructed to complete various tasks:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1) Retrieve "The sounds of ascension" CD from a local record shop and follow the secret track: an audio tour around the mission district lead by a young Eva and her mother, peggy.
2) Acquire "hobo coins" from drifters
3) Use these coins to acquire a letter from Peggy to Eva, and a "tooth of a nonchalant". These items can be purchased with the coins at certain shops in the Mission District

These tasks were also explained in the Radio Nonchalance Transcript, available at some stores and online via the EPWA website.
A select few agents were given the transcript via a real-world event that can be viewed here: http://www.ornithopterjumpsuit.com/

After the player completed these tasks, another code was presented. Typing this command into the BBS promoted a "security clearance" questionnaire which asks questions that can only be answered if all tasks are completed. Unfortunately, as of now communications become interrupted before any information can be given to the player. This will hopefully change in the future.

After a short while, the EPWA called for a real-life protest against the Jejune Institute, citing that "fliers and stickers are not enough" This lead to a real-world event telling the people of San Francisco about the lies spread by the Jejune Institute. The video of the protest can be viewed here: http://www.ornithopterjumpsuit.com/action

Break #2: Dream Registration
After the event, dream patent registration was open to all. A form was given to the community. The players were asked to e-mail the EPWA, and few were selected to have their dreams registered. This event consisted of a free tour of the "Tactile Dome" in the San Fransisco exploritorium. After the event, the players' papers were notarized, and then sent into the EPWA.

ACT 3: REMEMBERING EVA
In mid July, Kelvin began to post regularly on his blog again. It seemed Kelvin stumbled upon the shrine dedicated to Eva (found during the initiation), and began to see the following she has created.

Shortly thereafter, Beth (Eva's best friend) decided to meet Kelvin face-to-face. This meeting eventually led to more. Each one drawing Kelvin closer and closer into the world of Eva and the Savants. After a while, Beth began giving small pieces of Eva history to Kelvin, which now resides at the Pelinger Library. To which he states that anyone who is interested in finding out more about this fascinating woman, to visit the library and ask for the "Eva Lucien Archives."

Then on September 3rd, Kelvin announces the Reconstruction Project. A projected dedicated to following Eva's last steps the night she went missing. This particuliar event occurs in/around Coit Tower. The tour is supplemented with the police reports/interviews conducted by the SFPD, along with some location-specific clue finding. These clues lead to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Youtube videos that visually show what happened that evening, and a videotape which can be found/viewed at a local rental store. This video is a M2M transcript of a conversation between "Neil" and Eva. Here, Neil explains Eva is the "queen" of Divine Nonchalance.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what has happened so far. We still have two more acts to go, so anything can happen. What is certain is the PM's have promised even bigger events.

Now, I have skipped over A LOT of information, which will be addressed in future threads. However, for now this is just the beginning.

If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask. If it does not compromise your experience, hopefully we can answer them!

Again, this is not a "game." No, not TINAG, but this is more of an experience. Though there is some puzzle solving, most of the experience is done in the real world. These tasks require you to see the city in a new light, open you to a new world of counter-cultures and ideas.

Let your mind wander when you are committing these tasks. Dive into the experience, that is what it's all about.

Good luck, and welcome to the realm of Nonchalance.

Enir Paco,
CaptKing

That is an amazing collage. I was planning on doing the same thing. Maybe a shadowbox or something.
