Clueless re Kevin's tweet yet jalava's clever hack has registered on the staff Information Board.

A new file up on drop.io: seems to be a nursery rhyme. Possibly encrypted?

Right the poem is the clue to the password for the Rar file
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The poem mentions Greek mathmaticians and Squares. This lead me to Pythagoras and his theorem. As such I took the numbers from the name of the file and used these as the two straight edges of the triangle and used the theorem to work out the hypotenuse. This was 2042 which was the password to the file
Edit:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The rar contains two files. One is an incrypted message with what looks to be a Semacode image. The second file is a message from Kevin saying he has made full contact with the Resistance

Inside there is datamatrix embedded into the image.
After short photoshop wizardry and datamatrix encoder i got this:

CIPH:VIN|MATH:TREE/AXE|NUM:512

Here is the message from image:

Ctrefm smk bumf
xesotrq vuziqqnxrtl.
\r\aIyfrzg Feiahbv
those \a\r and \r\a could be control flow characters for line feed + carriage return. \' i'm bit unsure of. Also numbers and dots and commas seem to be unciphered in there.

It is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
vigenere cipher.
Cracked it, \a and \r were \n markers and \' was give away of I'd,
So i proceeded into using 5 character key with changing one letter at time and finding probable key as I knew keys characters 3-5 but was unsure of characters 1 and 2. Then i noticed more words and multiplied keylength, fixing the key where words made sense and proceeded.
Key is:

nine
And message is:

Really the insoluble riddle is: How many times did I type and prolly misspell "Pythagorean Theorem" into the .rar p/w box when anyone normal could see the comma after 1558 suggested another number? Major @ungrim & @jalava.

@jalava: Nice work on the Kasiki examination of that. I got the vigenere cypher but I still can't do Kasiki properly.
Where does this leave us now? Its not a key word for the Mashimisho web site and I can't find any link to a Mashi Desk.
Yay for Brownies MMMMmm

hey guys! I'm new to this and trying to catch up.
jalava, I also decoded the datamatrix and got the same result... has that led anywhere? I do recall that after entering it as a password to the username found as a result of the cypher and Puzzle. appeared under the login box temporarily but nothing besides that :-/

The datamatrix has three parts, first CIPH:VIN was about vinegere cipher in text. However, the rest of the message has left me pondering.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
MATH:TREE/AXE and NUM:512
... i can't figure out what math problem would have tree & axe in there.

My best guess is that it's really just an easier way to get the key to the cipher (2^9=512) but perhaps not.

The shutdown file (mdiFAX) opens to some very interesting info. How do we inform Kevin confidentially?
