[OT] I'm scouting locations... For an interesting project I've decided to get in on the ARG bees kness, and there's a concept I have swimming around in my head that would be excellent right now. What would begin as a simple blogspot would turn into something massive with cryptic clues to solve uzzles, picture of Slenderman at least once a day, and finally I'd like to get some videos put up on Youtube for this neat little endeavor.
The story will follow a psychologist named Dr. Samuel Finnighan, who discovers what he believes to be a new psychological disorder, which causes hallucinations of a man 'usually described as tall, thin, or even slender' that incites fear in the victim. Eventually, he starts piecing together that this might not be a product of his patient's imaginations(he works in a mental hospital of course), and could be a dark secret he never wanted to uncover...
There's my cheesy generic synopsis for y'all! I'm scouting locations for places that look like a mental hospital but are abandoned, and I'll need a bit of equipment...but what I wanna know before I go through with this is, would you guys beinterested? Does the concept appeal to you? I'd love to get as much feedback as possible before I put any money into the project.

Oh man, I hope you live in a state or province that has an abandoned big building close at hand. That'd be a pretty neat twist.
That sounds like a really big project. You should probably see if some of your friends would like to help you out on it, as getting a new picture up every day could be very time consuming. Having some other brains to storm with would also probably make the puzzles more in depth!
I'd follow, though!

I'd definitely have a couple of friends helping me out, probably one of them even playing the part of Finnighan, since I don't know if I could pass myself off as "psychologist" material. We'll see how that goes.
Thanks for the support though, dude! Believe me, I'm sure I could find plenty of abandoned buildings nearby, probably within my own town, even. It's just a matter of finding the correct one...

I would follow and obsessively hit F5 while sitting bored at work.

The only thing that seems a little 'hmm' is the name to me, right now. XD It doesn't seem as relevant to me as it could be. Maybe decide how old your character is and look up popular baby names from the year he was born to see what was in fashion, then? Finnigan is so... I don't know. It feels cliche?
*thumbs up* Yeah man, keep this up. You'll have followers for sure. X3 Just keep on a schedule with updates and stick to it, I think!

Glad to see a nice hearty response from people!
The name Samuel Finnighan was madeup on the spot and, while I know Samuel is cliche, I agree that Finnighan doesn't sound right. Especially for a guy supposed to be in his mid-twenties.
Just to let you guys knw, I live in the Mid-west, in Illinois, and with the dead of winter set in, I hope to get some really nice seasonal Slenderman pictures! >:3

Yeaaaaah!
That's one thing that confused me about Marble Hornets for a while. "Where is the snow?! This isn't in real time damnit!" 9_9 Of course I was being lame and not taking into account that it doesn't dump a foot or two everywhere.
But that's one thing that I've been missing, seeing winter-dead forests and Slendy amongst 'em.

Haha yeah I'm in Saint Louis, Missouri, so I see some snow too. S'matter of fact, we got a bunch last night.
Seeing proper seasonal Slenderman sightings would be delightful...

No brain, not THAT kind of seasonal.

If by an easter bunny outfit you mean the shredded remains of real rabbits and spring chicks. D:

You might want to look here for potential locations: http://www.uer.ca/locations/newlist.asp?n=1&country=United%20States&province=Illinois
A lot of it is invisible to the general public and requires a subscription, so if you let me know what city you're in I could see if there's anything interesting.
A quick search turned this up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peoria_State_Hospital
It appears to be a mental hospital that has been abandoned for nearly forty years. I'd be careful going there as apparently some of the buildings are in use by local companies and the abandoned parts may be tightly sealed or patrolled. I'm sure there's something more accessible and suited to your needs out there though.
Let me know if I can help at all!
