Not important, but I'm just now noticing that Tim looks a LOT like a friend of mine.

Foxeris, that is an interesting idea. I had assumed that Alex was chasing Slenderman towards the beginning and then when he realized how horrible things were going he turned tail and fled.

But if he was running at first and then chasing Slendy... that would even give some credence to where Masky and TTA come from. An obsession with hunting Slendy down would be a good reason for hanging out at Brian's house, especially given that in 22 Alex mentioned that he didn't know how he'd gotten to Brian's place (I think it is Brian's place?) and that he'd thought that hiding out there was a good thing but it hadn't worked... if he had given up, then you would think that he really had moved away and would never want to be near the house again.

...That is of course assuming that Alex is Masky, or TTA, or both. XD But still!

Maybe he's trying to get the remainder of his friends OUT of Slenderman's clutches? And he needs help?

OK, there's a show called "The Colony" which puts a group of 10 volunteers together for 10 weeks to try and survive a simulated viral outbreak.

I was watching the first episode when I noticed something...

Painting 'X's over doors was a common practice during the black plague, I think -- people would lock their loved ones in as soon as they showed symptoms and basically wait for them to die. the 'X' was to warn people not to go in lest they catch the plague as well. Could be in reference to that on this show.

Though it makes you wonder if the operator symbol from Marble Hornets also has some relevance, with the symptoms that Jay and Tim display...

But yeah, that was a nice thought. It had never occured to me to connect the Xs from the Black Plague with the Operator symbol.

Also, speaking of the Black Plague, I've always wanted one of the Doctor's Masks modeled after the ones Italy used during the Plague Era.

They're so cool....maybe I could start a creepy mask collection. Masky's Mask, Dottore(Doctor) Mask, Billy Puppet Mask....*cackles*
