Here's scans of the paper that was different from the rest (the other paper was tan-ish).

I can't confirm my hunch, but it seems they've shredded their original mailing list. I'm almost sure the St- is from "States," because if you look at the 4th down there is a beginning of an 'a'. Also, I got a piece of a sticker mailing label - and on the far left piece, I see "Bu," making me think of my own name - Butler. That could probably be confirmed by others who see the first two initials of their name.

However, the piece in the middle I have no idea. There's a period, so I think it's a message. Not to mention two consecutive n's, which occurs in "Flynn."

We may not be able to get all the pieces together, if it is a message. And its clear not everyone got strips of it.

And on the right, maybe an image?

Just got my bit. I havent been on an ARG for a while, so this was a shock. After reading two pages, I seem to have a "yes" bit, but I don't know what that means. I also did not find any white strips in my box, but all of my packing pieces were folded strips. On the inside panel of the box had the /zerohour that's about all. I'll try to catch up (is there a wiki?). I hope this helps.

It seems like some of the packaging is folded, like the one above, and others are strait - like mine. I wonder if there is text in the strait packaging only.

Negative, I got straight packaging and no words or letters what so ever.

I wonder if it's not important... but with 42E you never know.

EDIT: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robmagus/4359746717/in/set-72157623317241517/

That nearly confirms the thought that it's shredded addresses.

Hi everyone, I am new to this whole ARG stuff..but it seems interesting. I just caught wind of this one unfolding and thought I would dig in and try it out.

Excuse me if I am ignorant - but has anyone come across this yet: past or present...been doing google searches and it looks like a posting by Kevin FlynnSPLATencom.net using this "I think" binary search .."usenet"

maybe a clue to the binary stuff?

http://binsearch.info/?server=&max=250&g=alt.binaries.mac.osx.apps&a=Kevin+Flynn+<flynn>

the only problem is that you have to sign up (granted a free 14 day trial) to download the data. I don't think I am that bold.

It looks like it may have been uploaded a couple months ago...

anyways - wonder what everyone thinks about this.

Do you think it is anything?

Well, looks like a big mail day today - only problem is 2 of the 3 items are being held as packages for me to pick up Sad So, FedEx I think is Bit and I have to tell them to leave it at the house tomorrow during the day, and CanadaPost I think is my Bioshock 2 which I have to pick up from a post office... geocaching stuff came in and was left at my home nicely.

I so hate snail mail. Confused
