Connors fired off a few slugs into the monstrosity as she saw the gas can explode into a fireball, engulfing its top half in flames.

DIE, DAMN IT! DIE!

She didn't believe in God but she was starting to pray. Please, just make him leave! Make him go away! she thought, pleading with some higher power in her mind as she fired rounds at Him.

Faye was vaguely aware of what was going on outside the car, but she was fading quickly back into unconciousness thanks to the fever, and now the concussion she'd earned herself. Her ears were ringing, and strange noises filtered through the tinnitus. Yelling, screaming, explosions...

Faye tried in vain to move, because her hair had fallen over her face and she was lying awkwardly over the seats, head resting against the door. She heard a moan, and wondered vaguely who was moaning like that. Shit, wait, that's ME moaning isn't it...

That was the last thought she had before the darkness rose up again, pulling her into almost blissful ignorance of what was going on around her.

The gas had exploded on the monster and there was a fire burning on him. Gavin shot at him to get his attention then searched for his helper. He was standing by looking at his master. The perfect time. He shot but he only hit the hand of the demon-like creature. He shot once more at the firey slenderman before running into the forest.

Please, please god let him follow me.

((Again, the maskies are sort of back into the tree line, not next to Slendy.))

The Slenderman let out another shriek as it walked backwards again, backpedaling into the forest. It was almost comically how it's legs supported it's massive, many armed chest as it flailed around, knocking into trees and foliage...

Soon, the fire had spread. Plant life close to it burst into fire, even as it tried to grab at it's head with it's many arms. It's suit was lit up now, and it panicked, moving further into the trees and knocking against more and more...

It was a fireball now, everything. Trees lit up in flames, bushes consumed by fire. The Slenderman himself was a twisting, organic mass of black and red, right in the middle of it all. It was bashing a group of limbs against the ground, a scream unlike nothing on Earth coming from it's now stretched mouth. Was it dying?

The Masked One ran out of the forest, panicky. It let out a shrill cry at the sight of it's master in flames, jumping up and down and screaming. For now, the survivors left it alone. The sight was almost.....mournful.

And so it disappeared among the trees, still burning and thrashing and trying to go against fate. The whole forest seemed to be in flames now, fire spreading after so many months of dryness.

There was a terrible silence.

Could anything live in that?

There was a horrible silence.

There was nothing.

*tick tock*

He came back. Running out of the forest, his "suit" reduced to mere synders and wisp. As he ran, they flipped through the air like the strips they were. If one looked closely, they'd notice that the suit WAS attached to his skin...and somehow, was.

The thing came out of the burning forest, an insane mass of fire and dead, decaying skin. It ran across the road and into the other end of the forest, the Masked One going after it.

For one of the first times...humans had won.

He'd be back.

((You ignored everything i did. And also how in hell do you expect us to live. every time we run or fight back we get put in the same(yet modified) situation where slendy comes back and attacks. What do you expect of us?))

Gavin looked back. The thing wasn't following it. It was retreating. Into the forest. It's bloodied servant followed him. David had done it. They won........but for how long? Gavin was crying partially out of joy and partially out of fear. He ran back to the car where people were getting out. They needed to leave. This place. This town. This state. soon.

[Serenity]

((VICTORY! For now. HIGH TAIL IT OUT OF HERE, emergency first aid, where's the First Aid Kit?))

Kate laughed in relief, she fell to her knees as the monster ran, with one of its minions running quickly behind it.

"We pushed him back..." she smiled with tears in her eyes. She quickly wiped them away, remembering about everyone in the car.

"Shit, David, help me out here! We," she coughed out a bit before continuing, "we need to help these civvies out!" she exclaimed, motioning him to the semi-totaled suburban.

The Overseer was lost somewhere. The civilians had moved...god, unto another path. Johnson was with him, god bless the man...he'd been saved. He shuddered at the thought of that Masked...Man? Truth be told, he didn't know what it was.

As if fate answered his thoughts, the Masked Being itself showed up infront of them. Ignoring them, it looked behind it and raised it's arm, waving and pointing to the right.

The Tall One popped up, coming out of a particularly tall set of bushes. It's suit was...melted, almost. Pieces of it missing, others blowing in the wind. As the Overseer stared, trying not to make any sound...he could see the suit...regenerating.

God, it was staring back at him now. It raised one arm to adjust it's suit before it shook it's head, going after the Masked Man. Together, they disappeared.

Christ, what the hell was THAT about?

"Johnson?"

"Sir?"

"I say we go back the way they were coming from. Someone REALLY did a number on him..."

Maybe this was it. Maybe there was a way to stop this thing, or at least weaken it.

The two men walked back the way the...things had come from.
