Ok, so, this whole thing has been confusing. Can someone post a definitive way to get through this whole thing, please it would be a big help

I know I said I was done before but I've got one more question. I haven't done anything yet and was wondering if anyone knew a better method of recording this than hitting "print screen" and pasting in paint. Maybe a free, bare-bones recorder.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to put on my hand-stitched velvet robe, call Mr. Fuzzles to join me, and slowly drift off in slumber to the soothing tones of nature. Perhaps a waterfall in a lush jungle in Peru, with the sounds of birds chirping happily in the background.

(Don't ask me what this means. Sometimes I channel dead poets or the live Stephen Fry...)

The way to do it:

1. Pick a word. Should be one we've solved for in hangman before (I think)
2. go to http://(THATWORD).interdimensionalgames.com and solve the puzzles until you get to the desktop.
3. Open the folder on the desktop. Click on the file with three diamonds followed by two underscores.
4. play hangman, then play burning house.
5. When you win burning house, and go back to the desktop, check under countdown for a notebook looking file with eyes.
6. If there is no notebook, take the solution to burning house and
7. Go to http://(SOLUTION).interdimensionalgames.com
8. continue this process until you get the notebook with eyes.

Uhmmm, just a thought: I think wowo is right in that using the http://(secondhangmanword).interdimensionalgames.com "method" is not what you're supposed to do. All that does is reset which word you're supposed to remember. You can put http://BLAHBLAHBLAH.interdimensionalgames.com as the address and it still does the same thing as actually using one of the hangman words. I think manipulating the address in that way is not what the PM is intending.

What if there are more than 2 documents and each one is connected to specific words? So its the word you receive that dictates WHEN who get the notepad icon and whatever document along with it. It's only by coincidence that you HAPPEN to get words connected to these two documents by using http://(secondhangmanword).interdimensionalgames.com over and over. All using that link does is refresh the hangman game and allow you to do it again with a new word.

Could it be possible that only 2 of these documents are actually released?? Maybe some of us (myself and wowo included) have words that are associated to OTHER documents which have not been given to us yet?

I'm going to test this theory by being patient and doing absolutely nothing!! My word is "taryn" and right now, I can see NO notepad icon of any kind. I have a gut feeling that eventually the icon will appear and I'll receive a different document from the two you guys have found.

It just seems REALLY silly to me that they would expect us to redo the entire process over and over hoping to get the notepad icon to show up.

When I clicked the disk icon once I solved the "follow the black spot puzzle", I got sent to a page that asked for my user name and password. I entered the word I used to get into the notepad with eyes, and it gave me a .ZIP file with the filename sr_06.zip. Inside was this image:

Well shit, I just loaded up the site, preparing to give your plan a shot Chezzo. I loaded the desktop screen like normal before using http://BLAHBLAHBLAH.interdimensionalgames.com and sure enough, I now see the notepad icon visible. I got through the blue password box using the word I have had all along "taryn". I played through the crazy scanner game and received the same global news wire article you just did.

So only a few hours ago it DID NOT display anything. Ten minutes ago I load the site and I got the global news wire thing. I have not once used the http://BLAHBLAHBLAH.interdimensionalgames.com method to replay the hangman which still makes no sense to me.

Can I say "na-na-na-na-na, I was right" yet?

Also Chezzo: in your previous post you said that the Notepad icon appeared AFTER you played the burning-house hangman game for a second time, right? The word you got the second time around is the password you used for the Notepad, right? So my theory still stands on this. I think it was just a coincidence that the second word you got ended up connected to the global news wire thing that we both got.

I STILL strongly believe typing the address http://randomword.interdimensionalgames.com has nothing to do with how this whole thing works. EDIT: if it turns out I'm wrong i'll personally buy Chezzo and Irkr a drink

sublime/wowo, I think I agree with you guys. I think we (see: I) may have just brute forced the clues...I'm an over-eager basterd.

Anyway, if it really is going to be a unique(?) clue for each one someone received...we're looking at a LOT of clues coming in. I've tracked down over 20 unique words as solutions to the burning house game, and now that other people are working on it, more unique solutions are coming in.

Chezzo, could you attach that image? The upload you gave us is pretty low res, but I can see imbedded text (top left, above the sculpture in the garden sculpture ad and between the ads and the comments) but can't read it.

Also lending credence to sublimewowo's argument, I've had to play that stupid matching game every single time. The only time I haven't is when I've already visited that "site" before and had solved the matching game.

Anyway, based on the numbering, it looks like we have at least six documents/sound files/whatever. 'course, it could be pigs labeled 1, 2, 4.

Well lol I'm still as confused as ever because I have no idea what's going on anymore... but this morning when I fire up interdimensionalgames.com it goes to the desktop and now the other notepad shows up. so if the pms changed something thank you..

after i got through the password (lydia) and the chase the shadow bit, I get the same spanish document...

New pair of audio files....apparently Milestone three will stop the church...couple of quick reverses in audacity and the audio comes out pretty clear.
I just hope I didn't screw anything up for the PMs by potentially SEVERELY skewing the speed with which we found clues and the number of people able to access them....Unfortunately if I think I may be able to solve something by trying n permutations.....I tend to try n permutations, even if it's a longshot and ESPECIALLY if I come up against a wall:p
