The whole mind theft/ audio theft makes me wonder if Slender Man isn't.... well, sort of a non-corporeal entity, and has to steal audio/video/thought "energy" shall we say in order to come into some sort of existence. It already seems like he maybe nicks people's audio to try and communicate, perhaps, from the parroting of J's "hello?" in Entry #23.

And he doesn't seem to be around all of the time...

Maybe he's trying to steal more and more in order to properly come into being?

This may be nonsense. It would give us some sort of intent for him though, I suppose.

If Slendy absorbs sound (say from the missing audio in various tapes) how did TTA get his hands on the missing audio in some cases? Though I had wondered about that strange sound absorption in #14.

Chatting it up with JKat after we finally managed to pry ourselves away from the screen at some unholy hour this morning (Augh, thank god it's reading week!) we were wondering if Slendy absorbs thoughts, sounds, etc. in a sort of eating emotions way. Perhaps that's why Alex is able to sound relatively calm while mentioning that everyone's gone. And why Jay seems to be able to play it cool around discovering the fact that he can now teleport ^{(to his doom)} ™. Why he often mentions a pounding headache, or that his brains feel liquified. If Slendy is absorbing thoughts and emotions from out his noggin, Jay might act in these ways!

We were also wondering if Slendy himself might trigger a mental switch in people -- perhaps not consciously or maliciously, but hence why they are still moving around and doing things during the times that they can't remember. Somebody mentioned a while back that in Slendy mythos, the fella had the ability to cause people to come to him. Or to be fascinated by him, or whatever. Maybe there's something that causes Slendy to put people in a different brain state while he's feasting on their delicious mental energy?

...That doesn't really explain why Alex, upon seeing Slendy, might flip to TTA and go film Jay in #12 and 'Exit' respectively. But the mental turnover that happens around Slendy seems like a good reason for having been doing things during a period that one can't remember. Manipulations.

The "NO" when Jay's trying to remove the mask just sounds like Batman-style "I will disguise my voice by sounding unbelievably gruff and gravelly!" to me.

I never really thought of Alex as being "calm" when he was talking about everyone being gone. To me it seemed like he was a level beyond panic, where he had no choice but to just accept all the crazy stuff going on. Jay seems to be their too, a kind of surreal view of everything that happened, like your brain can't seem to accept what's happening.

On the other hand, this entry is rather important in one sense. A question got answered! I think we can pretty definitively say that Jay is teleporting now. Unfortunately, they picked the absolute worst question to answer, because it just makes stuff even more complex, but that seems to be their style.

Hmm. Something I just noticed after rewatching the Entry:

Anybody else notice that whining sound after Jay leaves his room? I had my volume mildly low, but I noticed it and turned it up. It stops around the end of the video, when Jay shows that footage of the two different cameras.

...What could that mean? Could it mean that Slender Man is in the house? Could it mean that if he's teleported somewhere else, he leaves behind some energy that Slender Man gives off, sort of like radiation? Maybe Slender Man gives off that "radiation" to TTA which causes TTA to distort the camera?



Maybe I'm overthinking this. I don't think Slender Man's... "being" for lack of a better word, should be debunked.

Part of why he's so creepy is due to the fact that he has no real background. People can make shit up about him as they go along, because he's a relevantly new entity to the supernatural world. o_o He was made up just a few years ago, no? I think I'm gonna lay off trying to make sense of why everything's happening for now. XD

That's possible. They're just so freaked out in the various entries that they have nothing in backup to deal with the situation. Shell shocked.

I agree -- they go out of their way to give us a very clear and direct answer, and all we get out of it is, "wait.... WHAT?! Then what about X, Y, Z, etc!!?"

XD Maybe they are taking Lost cues.

I'm not too worried. I guess I'm just willing to rest my disbelief on the capability of the narration. So far it's been really fun and engaging, I don't think they're going to necessarily jump the shark. (I guess they just managed to snag me into the realm of fangirl, on the other hand. XD "YAY, any new content! WOOHOO!")

i've been lurking for a while and its about time i post, haha.

definitely not a mind blowing entry but very important... i guess the teleportation thing is pretty clear now, either that or maybe slendy distorted the cameras into making it seem like jay never left. i wonder if this teleportation is a power of slendy/masky or if it is actually a power of Jay? interesting to think.

and what could jay be doing for the two hours that he was gone? maybe we will find out in a totheark response...

I turned up the volume on my computer all the way and at times the whining sound actually sounded a little like music with a buzzing sound over it. Maybe slenderman was "playing back" a sound he had absorbed. At about 1:37 I could swear I heard a trumpet.

My friend says that at 0:21, he swears he sees Slender Man's tie.
