Yes, it's been posted in the Entry 24 thread. A few people see it, a few people think it's just a messy apartment.

Guys.

Crank the volume.

There's muted band music playing throughout the entry.

Some of TTA's vids when put through audio programs also have snippets of band music.

Maybe that's what was cut out of Alex's videos.

The music.

Maybe it's like a mental siren call, and SM's some kind of pied piper.

Music was already called (several times), but that's an interesting theory about it being what was cut out of previous videos!

Why marching band music, a sailor (in TTA's video), and Pearl Harbor footage nonsense (in Messages)?

I'm grasping to connect how that relates to the series. It's obviously in there, but what does it have to do with Marble Hornets? In the actual script, is it a story about 'Brian' coming back from a stint of duty to his home town and getting trapped in an unhappy cycle, maybe? o_o In #20, Jay and Alex chatter:

Jay wrote:
"That's a whole lot of hell to give someone like him"

Alex wrote:
"Yeah, uh, pretty much everyone's at risk. It's, uh, a terrifying place -- and there's Tim, so..."

Is that referring to Brian's character going through some horrible experience while away on duty?

I apologize if this has been discussed at length already, but it's really the only reason that I can think of this whole navy business being important. Well, aside from some rather hilarious conjecture involving hiding in and coming out of closets and devilishly handsome anonymous looking men.... >_> <_< Laughing Wink

Yeah, like I said, maybe the music is the key. I know we shouldn't be trying to link this to the traditional Slenderman Mythos, but I can't help but be reminded of him going after children, if the music is some kind of call, like the pied piper, who also stole children.

Here, this is interesting. Apparently there's an aircraft carrier called the USS Hornet. I literally JUST found this, after looking up Navy ghost stories in the hopes that I'd find some loose connection. I have a knack for stumbling upon this crazy stuff. XD

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Hornet

Supposedly one of the most haunted ships in the American Navy. She was around during World War II. She's currently a museum.

Here's some history stuff: http://www.uss-hornet.org/history/heritage/

And her role in WWII: http://www.uss-hornet.org/history/wwii/

Apparently, the current USS Hornet is one of seven; there were six before this one. She left from pearl Harbor to fight in the Pacific, but wasn't actually there during the bombing.

So...there's a possible connection. Could just be a wacky coincidence. Those seem to be pretty common. Neutral

I'll go do some more research.

That is... so cool. Very Happy *spends hours reading up on ghost ships*

Something tells me it's been tried before, but I just sent a message to TTA asking if he's human, and if so, how we can trust him (provided humans can't be trusted). I guess I'll see if I get anything back. :v

Does anybody have thoughts on why the clock messes up? you can see it counting up the seconds, and then at 31 it stops moving. 10 seconds later it changes to 41, and the same for 51 and 1:01. So the clock itself isn't stopping, it's just only counting every ten seconds. To me that seems like electronic glitching. Anyone else notice that?

I get the impression that this is mostly just Slenderference.

Bah, this is just the seconds digit area is partially covered by the 'thousands of frames' digit area.

Also, on a somewhat off topic note: did anybody else sit on the edge of their seat the first time, waiting for really loud audio interference to cut in? The gentle background noise had exactly the opposite effect of being soothing!

Also I like the idea of Slendermaid, mysterious creature of the sea, whose beauty and fashion sense has lured many a sailor to their watery death.

Thinking about it, there could have been teleportation in 19 too. We don't really know. However, if Slendy teleported him to the Mysterious Underground Place...well, we know that it's somehow accessible from Brian's house, from 23. My thinking is that perhaps after Slendy lured him there, Masky followed and took Jay back to Brian's house.

Which also makes me think, considering the "jump to" theories about the operator symbol, that maybe the Maskies were messing around with teleportation, and that's why the rooms lead to each other in Brian's house. They were trying to figure stuff out or something.

In about three minutes these are going to seem like really half-assed ideas to me, but BRAINSTORMING!

Maybe something I say will trigger something more intelligent in someone else's brain-meat.

Could the symbols be markers of some kind? Targets for the Teleporting. Has anyone found some significance in WHERE the operator symbols are?

Yeah, that's kind of what it seems like. They either mark jump to spots, or places where Slendy tends to hang out. (Maybe he hangs out at jump to spots, since they're so easy to get to from his stomping ground?)

I think they discussed this in the Dial 0 for Operator thread, but it might have been a different one.

It all runs together after a while :\

I say we hire Slendermaid to clean up Jay's house when he's out being abducted. Boy is so very obviously a bachelor, at least in character. Yuck!

The 'jump to' bits and experimentation might make sense. It seems that (extrapolating from Alex's crazy amounts of sketching and writing) that he could have early on been searching for a way to outwit Slendy. If he discovered some Slendy-linked power of teleportation, he really could be using it now in order to mess with Jay.

It does seem likely that Masky/TTA has been helping Jay get home safe when he's gotten himself into trouble. I don't know that I trust Jay to be capable of self preservation enough to have gotten home or back to his car entirely by himself every time, and I don't believe for a second that Slendy is responsible for his safe-keeping.

Bah, all running together helps to weave a more solid basis. Since we have no real answers, it's the most comfortable way to pass the time between new content, at least for me! >_>"
