(Looking at the page, it appears to ask for an update and on the basis of that response loads up the image every minute - so I think it may well change from hour to hour, if not from day to day) I'll attach another screenshot if I notice it change

Actually I had noticed the extra page length, but there was most definitely nothing there earlier. I figured it wouldn't be used until the countdown was done, since upon checking the source earlier there wasn't content hidden in the extra space - at least not HTML content. That are below is Flash, part of the same object as above. I also notice that about every minute it's loading a new image, incremented a number up. As of now it's on 909.

technical/exploratory-hacking info below (no spoilers discovered, only impressive security =)
the flash makes a request which prepares the currently visible message image for download, then follows with a request to retrieve that image, at which time that specific image request becomes invalid. So you can't spoof the request to get an image that's not ready yet, you can only get the 'current' (based on server time) image, after requestng it in the same immediate session, once per request.

It's interesting watching how the letters unjumble themselves. Even money says that it ends with "END OF LINE" being Tron and all.
