((I assume the Overseer is still behind me or something.))

Kate ran back after Gavin, lagging behind a little. She saw everyone was grouped up over where Mia's body had been and suddenly they were taking her back to the suburban.

"She's...alive?" she questioned, shocked. I should of checked her pulse myself, maybe they didn't feel it correctly, she thought, jogging back over to them.

Having seen Mia alive again made her completely forget Gavin mentioned that He was coming. She ran over and hopped into the seat next to David. "Is she alright?" asked Kate, looking back.

Faye had shuffled back into the car, squished into the backseat with everyone besides David and Kate. She'd lost her chance to ask David what she'd been wanting to ask, and she realized now was not the time to ask, anyways.

Turning back to Mia, she hesitated a moment, then reached up, back groaning, and ripped a sleeve off her own long sleeved shirt in a few quick tugs. Holding it out to Mia, she told her quietly, "Cough any more blood into this, okay? I don't need it, exactly." She laughed softly at this, trying to calm her frazzled nerves.

"Is she alright?" Faye looked up at Faye, eyes tired behind her hair, and nodded. "I think she'll be okay. I have some medical training....I was in Pre-Med at my university, so I know basic stuff. She'll probably have a killer headache for a while, though."

Despite her words, Faye promised herself she'd keep an eye on Mia. She could have internal injuries that wouldn't make themselves known for a while, and that worried her.

Kate nodded at her and turned to David, remembering what Gavin had said.

"I think that thing is back there, heading toward us. I'm not sure," she said, aiming the SCAR-H out of the window. "You have any extra magazines for this?"

"Yep and apparently back from the dead like Lazarus. We'll roll out as soon as the Overseer gives us the go."

David looked at kate, with her jacket off she sure seems very... womanly. He mentally slaped himself, no don't let that distract you, the last time you let that happen you sounded like elmo for two weeks.

"so where did you run off to?" he asked quickly while tossing her his extra mags from his coat.

Ignoring the look she saw from David, she caught the magazines for the gun with her free hand, loading them into with a few clicks. "One of the civvies went into the forest, I followed to make sure he didn't die," she said plainly.

After some thought, she spoke again. "We lost the army grunt, I think that's why Gavin walked off into the forest."

Hope he's okay.

"Don't worry to much about Mike i'm sure he can take care of himself."
Don't stare, Don't stare, Don't stare, he covertly looked, aww shit i hope she didn't notice. I'm going to need to take a really cold shower as soon as possible.

"so theres a place about half a mile from here that we can rest at and there should be some stuff there that can help us treat Mia better."

((obviously by now you should know that david tends to lose his focus around women.))

Kate looked at the treeline, searching for something in it. She didn't see anything. "Hm..." she hummed, turning back. Faye was doing a good job of patching up Mia, but she herself was hurt. "Faye, don't overexert yourself," she advised, glancing out the front window.

"Half a mile from here? In the town?" she asked David, again catching a secretive look he gave her.

Men...should've kept my jacket on, she though to herself, setting the gun down and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Faye, don't overexert yourself," Faye scowled slightly, but she nodded eventually, sitting back in her chair.

As she leaned back into her seat, Faye saw the look on David's face, and his covert glances at Kate. Unable to control herself, and quickly becoming giddy again due to the fever and her concussion stacked one on top of another, Faye suddenly started giggling. Hysterically. Tears streaming down her face, gasping for breath, she blurted out:

"Bow chicka woooooow wooooooow."

Immediately afterwards she clapped her hands over her mouth, giggling profusely and then bursting into open laughter, practically rolling around in her seat.

She was quite unaware it looked like she'd completely lost it.

Kate heard Faye's giggling and blushed a little, looking out the window again.

"Bow chicka woooooow wooooooow."

Damn it, she thought, mouth forming a thin line.


I want my jacket back.

David sighed in relief, thank you god now i can focus again.

"Yeah I heard some civilians talking about it back at the factory. They said a couple people ran a clinic and garage there." David didn't bother to add that it was actually where he used to live, hell he didn't know that fact untill a little while ago.

"bow chicka wow wow" he heard coming from behind him, david facepalmed.

"That's good," murmured Kate. "We can fix up this vehicle and get these civvies properly fixed up."

She still had her arms crossed.

And I hope I get back my jacket...

Faye was still in the backseat cackling, when she saw David facepalm.

...And it just made the laughing worse. Faye tried to calm herself, quaking with suppressed laughter, but it was an futile attempt. She burst into hysterical snickering again, her head aching from the laughing and her concussion. Jake was staring at her, a slightly bemused expression on his face. He knew better than to try to calm Faye down when she got started.

David turned the keys in the ignition thats when his suburban decided to join in and make fun of him to: I'MA MAKE LOVE TO YA WOMAN, LAY YA DOWN BY THE FIYAH!

"GIH!" David yelled as he tried desperatly to turn off the radio that was blaring some song. why do you have to join in on this? he thought to his truck.

((i'm honestly expecting faye to yell "no mas! no mas!))

Kate's leg unconsciously slammed into the dashboard when the song started playing, leaving a small dent.

She took a deep breath and exhaled, still blushing while also a little ticked off.

God damn it...

"I'MA MAKE LOVE TO YA WOMAN, LAY YA DOWN BY THE FIYAH!"

Faye broke off laughing abruptly, her mouth gaping open. The moment David slammed the radio, turning off the song, Faye picked up where it left off.

"AN CARESS YO WOOOMANLY BOOODAYY MAKE YOU MOOOOAN AND PERSPPPIIIREEE I'MMA GET THOSE JUIIIICES FLOWIN', MAKING LOVE GRAVY, LOVE GRAVY, LOOOOVE GRAVY! LOVE LOVE LOVE...."

Jake clapped a hand over Faye's mouth, cutting her off, but muffled singing continued to filter from under his palm. Sighing, he shook his head, trying not to laugh.
