We're being led to believe by recent entries that teleportation is going on. I'd like to clarify what KIND of teleportation we are seeing.

When I think of teleportation, I imagine the character thinking of the place they'd like to go and instantly appearing at that place, while instantly disappearing from where they were. This is not the kind of teleportation in MH. Entry 24 has shown us that the effect is much more gradual (and passive) than that.

The last two entries of MH have displayed a kind of teleportation similar to those seen in "The Lost Room" and "The Matrix". A physical door may act as a metaphysical portal/gateway into another zone, and must be opened and entered in order to transport to that zone.

As for the Hiro Nakamura kind of teleportation, I don't think anyone (including Slendy) has shown evidence of this so far. We've seen him running away in several entries, and hiding in the shadows when someone goes looking for him. If SM had the power to instantly zip away, he wouldn't need to run/hide.

That tv actually looks like it is surveillance of the parking lot. I remember one time when my family and I were coming home from New Mexico, the hotel we stopped at had a camera you could tune into to watch certain parks of the parking lot.

If it is a camera, it'll probably be pretty high up, but that doesnt mean that it could be unreachable by someone human. Besides, that face is too pink and too detailed to be Slendadude.

But I also see that compared to one of those screamers. Ever seen rabid coyote?

Actually, looking back on the Something Awful threads, it kind of seems like Slenderman has always had the ability to teleport.

I took a look at entry 6 and the face actually looks similar when you see him through those bar like things.

I don't think it's a dream/hallucination/bad drug trip.

I think, that in "reality", "Jay" is a young, autistic boy, and everything we're seeing is going on in his head.

(NO, I don't think that but it was either that or "A wizard did it." Until I get this figured out.)

I haven't seen anyone mention this and it seems like everyone is getting obsessed about what's on the TV after Jay leaves but what about the image when the camera first goes to that room? It looks to me like there is something at the top right of it... makes me think of maskey's face.

Remember in entry 19 that maskey is seen before he enters the room outside the window. So maybe before maskey abducts Jay he can be seen.

Maybe he is on the TV before Jay even enters his room the first time. I feel like this could be true because that whatever it is in the top right isn't there in the shot where Jay leaves his room without popping out in the TV room.

I'm a little confused, NiteKat -- do you mean the image on the TV, or something about Jay actually in his bedroom? XD Are you talking about the TV image that morphs into something pale and bright and then morphs back again after Jay has noticed it and starts going into his bedroom?

Look back a few pages to one of the breakdowns of the TV screen frame by frame or look at the entry again yourself. When the camera makes it's first cut from the cluttered room to the one where Jay is sitting at the computer look at the TV.

I swear it looks like there's something in the top right and it kind of reminds me of maskey's mask.

((also is it just me or is that Captca thing really freaking hard to make out for guests?? It seems ridiculously difficult to make out sometimes I signed up because I failed it too many times and didn't wanna wait to post lol))

Ha ha, if you invert the image's colours, the bit at the top right of the TV screen looks EXACTLY like a mini-version of the panda face that we find at the end of #22. (I'll spare JKatkina by not posting a direct image comparison, but it's totally similar. XD)

Honestly though, looking at that first image it seems more like a shot from outside with a flood-light turned on, or else a street lamp in the top left of the TV screen and windows of other houses across the street. I think it is when the TV screen changes at around 0:37 seconds that we really see a 'face'. It's a bright cyan blob right up close to the screen that moves ever so slightly, like someone trying to hold their head quite still. Then it does that strange morph into the grid-like shape (which could also be a backyard view, or an alley view with another house or apartment building on the opposite side of Jay's place) at around 0:56 seconds...

So I agree that I think there's a face THERE and not just when Jay warps out of his room. I just think it's more obvious than a face-like shape in the corner of the TV screen!

I sort of see what you're saying. But if what I'm noticing isn't a face then what is it? It's clearly gone when Jay warps out of his room (i.e. there is nothing at all in that upper right corner of the tv screen).

I also admit that if it WERE maskey's face that it is at a rather odd angle (if we assume it's an outside security camera it would mean that maskey is hanging up above the camera and to it's right somehow lol?)

I don't think that because it's less obvious that makes it "not there." In entry 19 I didn't notice maskey in the window until I read about the entry on the wiki.

But there are many things in the videos that I think are things we just invent for ourselves to see. This could be one of those things. Like was pointed out in many other threads what makes slender man so distinctive visually are ambiguous and can cause many false sightings in videos. This could be one of those things.

But what do you think that shape is that I'm trying to point out? It's just bothering me ever since I noticed it.

You are talking about the sort of reverse-shades panda face in the top right, right? Or are you talking about the big white blob in the top left of the TV screen? The right seems like light coming out of or reflecting off of windows across the street (probably reflecting to be that bright), the big white blob seems like a street lamp or flood-light outside the building, though it is an abnormally hot tone of white because it's so dark in Jay's room, the camera's compensating.

Though you're right, I shouldn't dismiss things because they're not as obvious. X3 It just seemed to me that the larger message us audience were getting was that the TV was changing and Jay was looking into the aftermath of that.

On the note of the thing not being there the second time that Jay comes around, it's hard to say for sure but it seems as though either the view has changed, or some settings have become borked on the camera itself -- everything is less white and shows more colours. Mayhaps the camera was picking out distortion and doing that thing where it makes everything more contrasty and less colourful at the beginning of the episode!

I'm sure someone else has said this, but I think this teleportation goes thus: SM crates a "portal through either space or time, or both, and the victim is compelled to enter during their sleep. This would explain the other times Jay's gone through doors like that, like in 23 and in 19.
