I got my Bit today! (Looks like I got the "neutral" state...)

These are much sturdier than the ARGN blog post implied. Definitely not paper or plastic -- more like hardened plaster. I have a couple more pictures at my Twitpic account if anyone's curious.

I'm still waiting to find out if I got sent one, so had to rely on the descriptions in here. Early pictures of the "No" state (and the descriptions that followed) seemed much more plasticky.

I'm pretty sure it's plastic.

I strongly doubt you'd need a Bit to participate -- while they theoretically could be used as difficult-to-duplicate passes, it wouldn't be logical to purposefully exclude people from participating in something designed to spread word of mouth.

However they could be used as bonuses, per se... with TDK, if you followed all the instructions to the T, you got a joker card which gave you first seating in the preview, before those who either skipped to the end or got in line after the fact.

Granted in that case everyone ha the -opportunity- to get a joker card, but in the end there still people with and without a card. It could be that people who signed up and received Bit in the mail could get a favoured bonus, while all could still engage in the event. Heck perhaps people in the event could earn a Bit as with the joker cards. Who knows, but I'd love to see that... the TDK scavenger hunt was nuts Smile

I hope the Bits do get to play a role sometime yet to come.

Darn it. No love for Houston but I see Austin is there which is understandable. I might have to conscript some of my friends at UT.

I hope Bits are not required since Las Vegas is on the list but *this* long time ARGer did not end up on the BitList. I've already warned konashark of the date & time. He asked"is this going to be like that cake chase" (I called him frantically when the LV location was revealed and sent him panicing through construction traffic only to miss it by 2 min). I answered "this time we're hopefully a little more prepared".

I think this might be for a free IMAX screening of Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland with the Tron Legacy trailer attached, like with the TDK viral! I hope Palisades Center IMAX in New York State will be doing this, otherwise forget it!

That would be a week before it's opening date.

That would make sense considering...

- They're both Disney productions
- They're both in IMAX
- They're both in 3D

I'm guessing it'd be a 3D trailer, if that's the case.

It's too soon to be thinking screening. Maybe a screening of the trailer but that would be the trailer by itself. Im thinking its more along the lines of a scavenger hut or a gathering.

I really hope the bit's come into play.

To me, this is drawing a parallel to the 'it's all part of the plan' and 'step right up' screenings from WSS? again.

It looks like I got a bit too, but I won't have it in my possession until next Sunday.

It was sent to my home address, and I'm at college right now, so when I meet my family in Des Moines next weekend, I'll get it then and be sure to post about what it contains.

The zerohour page was updated with a link that takes you back to the main Flynn Lives page. Perhaps it will lead somewhere else in the future.

Well, looks like I'll be making a trip to Chicago or Nashville. Why can't they ever show St. Louis any love? Oh well, I always want an excuse to go to Nashville. Love that place.

Edit: Wait....so the countdown is counting to Wednesday, February 24th at 8AM PST, 10AM CST, and 11AM, EST? That makes no sense. If there were going to be a live event at the end of the countdown, why would they schedule it in the middle of the week at times where most participants would either be at school or at work?

I'm thinking this is counting down to the instructions for our next stage.
