Ernest Hunt: The Job Search Finding employment is hard, whether "Ernest" is Journalist or Spy Received the following link through the ARGNet tipline, described as something "short, sweet and fun."
http://ernest-hunt.blogspot.com/
Initial impression: I like the idea of using a resume as the starting point...especially a faked one. And I am a sucker for horrid puns.
Numbers on the bottom of the page translate to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
PRINTS WILL LEAD TO MY IDENTITY
Haven't figured out what this is referring to, although the bullet points come to mind. I've emailed the address listed on the resume with something suitably non-responsive, but haven't yet called the phone number.
Circumstantial evidence leads me to believe this is the first of a number of "mini-ARGs" (or whatever you like to call short, ARGish experiences) coming out of Adam Brackin's UT-Dallas class.

Well, it's clearly not the stock I'm-a-serial-killer-come-find-me ARG. So that's cool.
I sent him an email:
Quote:
Here are some prints I shamelessly downloaded from various websites. I am hoping they are sufficient enough to lead to your identity.
Attached were three pictures of fingerprints.

I assume that you guys have seen the S,P,Y, letters under interests, not to mention the ".007" in the GPA calculation (never seen ANYONE calculate GPAs beyond two decimal places).

I thought the 3.007 part was cute, especially since it lists Dean's List right next to that

Strange enough he said The Daily Freeman as it is the main newspaper in my hometown in the Hudson Valley in New York.

Just called the number (I figured it might have been a bit too late last night) and got a standard voicemail, with the automated voice reading off the phone number.
I gave my Google Voice number when I left the message, so we'll see what comes of it.

Something else to consider is what meaning the 39.1, 39.12, and 39.22 have.
The 39th line and 1st, 12th, and 22nd letters spell out "CSS", so maybe there's something in the style sheet? Didn't think you could edit blogspot stylsheets, though.

All I can say is that that's the worst resume I've ever read.

Spot the dragonfly in the top left hand corner? Weird thing to put on a resume, no wonder D didn't want him
Also agree that the bullet points as long with the fact he lists 'hunting' in his interests on the blogger profile that it's something to do with nature.
Edit: was just reminded of this randomly. Doubt it has any significance as it's a few years old but pretty interesting nontheless.

Available "Openings" Anyone thought of creating plausible position description(s) that would attract his response?
"Help Wanted!"

I'm tempted to e-mail him and threaten to out him, as there's no mention of him in any of those papers.....If he's really a spy, that should provoke some sort of reaction:)
