LOL DO IT
I wonder what he'll say.

With that resume, I can't bring myself to have Darklight hire him. Just feels so wrong... It's against my corporate ethics.

Yes, Nighthawk, you've already noted you don't like the resume.
Any thoughts on what we're missing?

*NOTE* I don't have the time to play much. Consider me the "Peanut Gallery".
Well has anyone attempted to reply at all? I mean, in a serious fashion?

I've tried both telephone and email, with no response -- that leads me to believe that there's something we're missing, most likely having to do with the 39.XX numbers and/or the paw prints.
Doesn't seem to be much to go on with the dragonfly icon, and although the resume is saved as a jpeg, there doesn't seem to be enough information to warrant a stegged image.

I agree with gordian, those 39.# numbers must have SOME significance...Otherwise why put them there? and they're the only thing we can't ID in any way.

can't sleep 39 = 26 + 13
so I thought it might hint at a ROT 13 with some of the caps?
39.1 39.12 39.22
M.A M.L M.V
or
N.Y.I - newyork something?
anyone tried putting the caps from prints ino a rot 13?

I'm sure some of you guys have noticed this, but Ernest Adams is also the name of the co-founder of IGDA (the International Game Developers Association). I don't think this is really useful for moving forward, but it is a fun side-note.

Bold spells out Eyes, italics spells out (i think) oen...? Cipher was in response to a bolded acrostic response I sent saying "SPY, EH?"

Not only do we have the pawprints on his resume, he talks about the stuffed animal heads in the building and the interviewer with "grasping claws."
I emailed him to try to get the name of the company where he interviewed.

Ms. Brandie,
Glad you enjoyed my first blog entry, hope you enjoy those that follow. As I said in my post I will not name the business or person related to the incident, least of reasons why being people believing my story and more to do with business practices. Suffice to say that we all have a few stories to tell, D just happens to be mine.
Best,

I miss a really good ARG! I used the brilliant disguise of myself- (journalist, me) to e-mail Ernest. I gave him an invite to a real upcoming college night for journalism students in my area as well as a chance to Skype. Also tried to see if perhaps Ernest was burned as spies are? We'll see if anything from that comes out.
While I was working on the puzzles, I had these thoughts:
- As longitude and latitude points 39.1, 39.12 is a place in Turkey, but doesn't fit with 39.22?
- I've wikipedia-ed dragonflies , and found some interesting info.
o European countries view dragonflies as sinister
o The Norweign name for dragonflies translates to Eye Poker, and in Portugal they're called Eye Snatcher.
o In Texas it's a common hobby to catch them like butterfly collecting. This is called Oding with people who do it called Oders.
Take Care,
Kendra

Interview with an Ernest Best done when I've had more cocoa and time to think Oooh- a response from Ernest! Didn't take me up on the offer to relocate to Hawaii. Unless for whatever reason he can't. This is what he wrote:
Quote:
Kendra,
Always a pleasure to commune with my peers. Oah u sounds love ly but I'd need a bit of a guarantee before leaving the s afety of Texas. You never know what's out there , sure, but I have to remain here for the time being. Thank you for the kind offer though.
I'll keep you in mind as things come about.
Best,
-Ernest
So we get the message possibly
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"She's out there"
But then, who?
More thought's about EYES and OEN from the last e-mail. Ernest mentions he's from Texas which is an HQ for Optical Enterntaiment Network. Will have to sleep on this and think more about it. Probably messed up the other game I'm working on as well.
I'll e-mail again before I go to sleep with another message, on the off chance we can get more info.
[edit - changed the letter to a quote tag - spoilers are for puzzle solves and tv/movie/book plot points - kona ]
