Faye was sitting, a look of intense surprise on her face, on the ground next to the couch. Looking up at Kate, she cracked a grin, then laughed shakily.

"Nahhh, just had a really weird nightmare, fell off the couch, I think. Sorry for startling everyone..." She caught sight of Kate pulling down her tank top, and suddenly remembered Kate had mentioned a tattoo, and she'd likely missed seeing it. "Aww, hey, did you already show your tattoo?" Faye asked, trying to change the topic off of her nightmare. "I have one, but you have to show me yours first."

Glancing back at the stairs, she saw Gavin was perched on on of the lower stairs, hair wet, presumably from the shower. He was still wearing his old clothes though. I doubt he wants to go back to his house... Smiling at him, she asked, "Hey, once I see Kate's tattoo, do you want me to run over to your house really quick and grab you some fresh clothes? You can just tell me where you room is, and what clothes you want, I won't be gone more than a couple of minutes..."

Gavin smiled he couldn't believe it. He would get fresh clothes. But.....no! that monster was out there and he'd be damned if he put her in harms way.

"That's okay I'll run over there myself." he said shakily. That was actually the second to last thing he wanted to do. The first was put Faye in danger.

So he would swallow his fear and walk over there.

With towel around waist and a hand holding it up, Mike barrels into the room with a "RAUGHHHH!".

Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, starts heading out until he hears that Kate is going show that sweet tattoo again.

"MIKE GET OUT OF HERE, YOU'RE PRACTICALLY NAKED, GO FIND SOME CLOTHES!" Faye averted her eyes, stared fixedly at Kate's face to avoid seeing Mike.


"That's okay I'll run over there myself." Faye twisted, still sitting on the floor, and winced momentarily as her back complained at her. "No, Gav, you don't have to, I don't want you to go back in there again." A grin flitted quickly across her face as she added, "And if you insist on trying to go, I'll get half-naked Mike here to hold you down..." Faye was trying to joke, but deep down, she honestly didn't want Gavin to have to see that house ever again. She was worried he'd lose it again, and she didn't want to see him like that ever again.

Mike got a confused look in his eye, then kinda walked out the door. He really didn't wanna grab a kid when he was wearing a towel.

Gavin finally cracked, but not because of Mike holding him down. But because he didn't want to leave her here wearing that with David, and a naked Mike.

"If you insist but really I can handle going back there." he had seen her wince in pain. She couldn't fool him.

God you've screwed up my entire life except for her so you'd better keep her safe.

"Oh, these scars," Mia said, holding up one of her wrists. "I have no idea. Like, I don't remember ANYTHING past when these guys found me hiding in a house. Just my name."

She heard a thud and heard people yelling. "What the hell now," she muttered. She walked into the living room to see Mike running around in a towel and Faye on the ground.

"Mike, you're bothering her, go put some clothes on," she said. "Gavin, Faye, don't go back to that house. I'll go over there, okay?"

"Oh, right, my tattoo. Here, let me show you," said Kate, turning around. She pulled the back of her tank top up again, showing off the black dragon on her back. "I would show you the rest, but I'd have to take off my pants, too much of a hassle," she said, tugging at her waist. "It starts at the bottom of my right leg," she said, pointing at it.

"Neat, huh?" she smirked, pulling down her tank top again. "What about yours?"

On his way out he heard Mia. "But...I don't know where there are any men's clothes...and I really don't wanna wear woman's clothes."

He kind of frowned. These civis were so weird about a little skin. He wondered if all civis were like that. It wasn't as though he intended to not have anything to wear but...

*Sound of washer stopping*

"YAY! Time to transfer!" he said as he skipped. The towel didn't much appriciate the skipping so he stopped and walked instead.

As Gavin grew crimson he turned away.

Why is it that no one in the military cares about decency? I mean how hard is it to realize there are boys in the damn room?

Andrew ran up to the door and peered over Mia's shoulder. He saw the scene and began to laugh.

"Wow...haha, this looks so funny." then he heard Mia talk about going to some house across the street.

"What's so bad about that house?" he said bluntly.

Mia wolf-whistled at Kate's tattoo. "That must have taken so much time," she said. "I only have one tattoo, and it's on the side of my hip. Sooo I won't be showing it," she laughed.

"Anyway, Gavin, Faye, seriously you two should stay here. I'll go back across the street."

She turned and saw Andrew, hearing his question. "That's Gavin's house," she whispered in his ear, leaning close so Gavin wouldn't hear. "The bodies of his parents are in there."

Gavin proved he couldn't go back to that house. When Andrew talked about the house he broke down. He ran upstairs past Mike and into the bathroom.

He began to cry. "Dammit what the hell *sniff* am I doing? I *sob* need to get a grip" but he couldn't stop.

It was the most painful image he'd ever seen. His parents corpses.

Faye gasped when Kate turned, showing off her tattoo. "Aww...that's so cool! I imagine it took forever, too, didn't it..." She probably would've touched it if it weren't...you know...on someone's back. Grinning slightly, Faye spun, then hesitated for a moment, saying "The bruise might be hiding it, but it's red, so it's probably still visible. Tugging her shirt up in the back a few inches, Faye turned, showing one of her nerdiest assets to date. Within two months of college, she'd gotten an intricate red Halo of the Sun tattooed across her back. It stood out against her purple bruise, the red seeming even more vibrant than it would have if she'd been bruise-less. "Not as cool as yours, I must say, but it's a tribute to a...well a video game." Faye laughed a bit, pulling her shirt back down.

"Anyway, Gavin, Faye, seriously you two should stay here. I'll go back across the street."

Faye ran a hand over her slightly damp hair, then glanced at the other girl. "Well, I don't think Gavin should go, but maybe would could go together, Mia? I need to get some exercise, anyways, after laying around for so long, and it'll be safer with two people..." The moment she finished her sentence, Gavin broke down, sprinting into the upstairs bathroom.

"On second thought, I'll go talk to Gavin....but at least take someone with you okay, Mia? Don't want anything to happen to you..."

"Why are you civvies afraid of showing some skin?" Kate wondered when Mia wouldn't show her tattoo. "But, yeah, nice tattoo, Faye, bruise is blocking some of it, though," she told her.

Suddenly, Gavin broke out into tears and ran off to upstairs. Faye left soon after. "Damn," she merely muttered to herself.

She sighed audibly. "I really need that shower," she said, excusing herself as she went upstairs, passing Mike. "McManus, where's that shower? And don't tell me it's behind that door," she said, pointing to the door she heard slam, presumably by Gavin.

"I'm showing enough skin as it is!" Mia exclaimed as Kate walked away. "I guess a little more wouldn't hurt... but... maybe later."

She turned to Faye. "Yeah, I guess it WOULD be best to take someone with me. Who, though?"
