"Maybe..." Mia said, thinking about that possibility. She watched Faye follow Gavin outside, then turned when she heard Jake speak again. "What do you say we go find Mike and Kate, and ask them, okay?" he said, suddenly picking her up. She gasped, not expecting this, then smiled. "If you say so," she said. She wrapped her arms around his neck for support. As they went up the stairs, Mia looked up just in time to see Kate kiss Mike on the lips and say "Okay, now let's go."

"Oh my god!" Mia whispered, glad neither of the two had spotted them. "Go back down! Go back down! Hide somewhere! Don't let them see us! Oh my god!"

Rocking back and forth on his heels dejectedly, the blue eyed man gazed about. He was a bit upset that Faye had left with barely a word, but understood, as the friendship she had with Gavin could be a tad bit more fragile than the one she had with himself.

So instead, he sought out the only other person he thought was alone at the moment. David.

Sauntering off, he peeked his head in the doorway and caught sight of his friend in the next room. Wandering in absent-mindedly, he punked down in a chair and watched David do pullups for a moment, before speaking.

"A-are you angry that Mike and K-Kate kissed, too...?" Terrence peered nervously at the man, sighing.

"I don't know, i guess." He said while still doing pullups. "93...94...95..."

"What are you doing out here? Your getting soaked."

Faye smiled at Gavin, water dripping down her face and neck from her sopping wet hair. She gestured to the towel, which she'd been sheltering with her skinny body. "You're soaking, too, so I brought you a towel!" She stepped forwards, unfurling the slightly damp towel and draping it over Gavin's head, smirking. "You can use it like an umbrella."

Grinning, Faye looked straight up at the rain falling, sticking her tongue out to catch raindrops on her tongue, giddy. She'd always liked rain for some reason, and had gotten in trouble alot as a younger child for sneaking out in the rain and catching a cold the next day. Actually there'd been this one time that her mu---Faye stopped her own train of thought, the memories of her mother, who was only one year dead, too painful to think of right now. Instead, she focused on Gavin, and the rain drizzling on her bare skin, cold but refreshing.

Jake, holding a giggling Mia, stopped in his tracks when his eyes fell upon Kate, giving Mike a little kiss on the stairwell. Mia, her arms around his neck for support, started to whisper.

"Go back down! Go back down! Hide somewhere! Don't let them see us! Oh my god!"

Jake's ears were flaming red, and his cheeks were starting to get some colour, too. He started to spin, intending on going back down the stairs, but he somehow tripped over the hem of his jeans, his bare back scraping along the wall loudly as he nearly tripped down the stairs. So much for THAT stealthy getaway...

Leaning back in his chair, the white haired man stared at the ceiling and nodded, sighing again. A few different questions were going through his mind at the moment, but he really didn't know how to word hsi feelings. He also had no idea what he was about to say, and that it might come as a shock.

"Y-yes, me as well....I w-wish Mike would k-kiss me..." He shrugged and lowered his eyes again, staring out the window into the rain. It didn't quite matter, but he considered hsi crush a little bit awkward and did not know who else to say, now that Faye was gone.

'Oh well...' he thought blandly to himself, dismissing the thought of Mike from his mind, deciding there were more important things to focus on, with The Tall One around, than simple kisses...

"Kyaa!" Mia yelped as Jake tripped, sliding against the wall. She held onto him tighter and pressed her face into his shoulder, hoping he would regain his balance before they both fell. Desperately she reached out and her hand pushed against the wall, trying to steady them.

"Oh no," she whispered, hoping Kate and Mike SOMEHOW hadn't heard them.

Gavin took the towel to the head and accepted it as a makeshift umbrella. Faye looked troubled and this made him troubled. He got up as she was trying to catch raindrops in her mouth and put a hand to her shoulder. He turned her whole body to face him.

"F-Faye look. I think everyone else besides you may know this, but I need to tell you." Gavin felt a lot smaller, but he needed her to know the truth. "I've been doing a lot of thinking and I-I love you." he gave her a painful look and did something that, if Faye was gonna be mad at him for anything it would be for this. He kissed her, on the lips for one second.

To him it felt like forever. He pulled back and smiled. "Sorry."

David lost grip of the pipe he was doing pullups on and fell on his ass "Well... uhm... uh maybe you should drop some heavy hints? Who knows maybe he rolls that way. I'm not the best person to ask anyways." EEWWWWWW!!!! Gross gross gross!!!

"Sorry."

Faye was frozen stiff, her mind whirling. Wait....wait what did I hear that right!? Gav....he likes....wait, am I dreaming? No, I can't be, it would be sunny if I were dreaming....and we'd be on a pic---okay no, no, no, Faye, back on track, you idiot. He just kissed you and he totally thinks you're upset an---

Faye's body decided to supercede her brain's authority and frenzied blur of thoughts, and leaned forward, her lips curving briefly into a smile before she returned the kiss, winding her arms around Gavin's neck and standing on tip toe so she didn't have to bend her neck so awkwardly. Dazed, she pulled back, not noticing nor caring that the rain had completely drenched her hair, causing it to become almost transparent where it stuck to her cheeks.

Her cheeks were flushed, and she laughed nervously. "I....I think I've been wanting you to say that for a while, Gav." She trailed off, her blush deepening slightly.

Jake, yelped as he and Mia finally skidded to a halt, his back burning from it's grind against the wall. His eyes wide, he clapped a hand over his own mouth, realizing a second too late that doing so wasn't going to help their predicament. His legs locked, and he froze in place, breathing heavily.


Oh god Oh god did they hear us shiiiiit.

"Just...run back to the couch!" Mia whispered in his ear. "We can pretend we were just walking back from the kitchen and tripped or something! They don't have to know we saw!" She touched his back lightly. "Is your back okay?" she whispered.

She....she likes me too? But I had o idea I... he stopped thinking. She'd kissed him too. He smiled a large smile before leaning in and kissing her again. He didn't care if some might consider it cheesy. First kiss in the rain and all. He didn't care about anything but Faye as he kissed her.

He was careful. As nerdy as it sounds with no friends growing up also leads to no kissing before. No experience. Again he didn't care as he pulled away again.

He looked at her. They were both completely drenched. He smiled, "Your beautiful."

"I'm s-sorry?"

The man plucked at his black tank top awkwardly, shrugging. He couldn't quite comprehend David's absurd reaction, let alone begin to understand the implications of his own words. He'd never dealt with anything of this nature, he knew nothing of the societal impact.

He hoisted himself to his feet and smiled haphazardly at David.

"Swing th-that way? What d-does that mean?" Walking over to David, he decided he might as well help cheer his friend up with something of a consolation. It wasn't until halfway through that he een realized what he was doing or what reaction his friend might have. Nonetheless, he leaned over and lightly pecked David on the cheek. Walking out of the room, he threw a gleeful, encouraging comment over his shoulder.

"I'm su-sure you'll get your kiss from M-Mike someday..."

Faye shivered gleefully from both cold and happiness when Gavin kissed her again, smiling at him as he pulled back.

"You're beautiful." Faye blushed, giggling a bit, before looking back up at him, biting her lower lip nervously. She grinned at him suddenly, then said, "I guess we should probably go inside before Mike comes running out naked to crash our little party," she hesitated a moment before lacing her fingers through Gavin's, pulling him with her towards the garage, hoping to get inside before the both of them caught pneumonia.

The entire way to the garage, Faye was beaming, her blush apparent across her nose and cheeks.

"Is your back okay?"

Jake nodded, grinning giddily before sprinting down the steps, holding his hand behind Mia's head to keep from jostling it as he took 3 steps down at a time. He began to giggle like a madman as they reached the main floor, and he was full out laughing by the time he felt they were safe, back at the couch. Leaning over a bit, Jake loosened his grip on Mia, intending on dropping her back onto the couch, still laughing, exhilarated.

"terence i don't like dudes i like chicks" David siad as he jumped into the front seat of the corvette and pulled out of the garage.

David saw Faye and Gav under the tree and that made him go overboard.
"Godfuckingsonuvabitchdamnit!" he yelled as he slamed onthe accelerator and drove of cursing the whole way.

Faye saw David's face as he pulled out of the garage. She didn't exactly know why he was upset, but she knew from years as his friend, prior to being memory-wiped, that he was beyond pissed and hurt right now. Hesitant, Faye chewed on her lower lip nervously, staring after his car. It'd be stupid to try to chase him on foot, though she did consider doing just that, momentarily.

Sighing, she resolved to talk to him the moment he came back, ask what was wrong.
