Mia giggled as she heard Jake start laughing. She clung on tight as he jumped down the stairs. As they approached the couch, Mia felt him loosen his grip on her and lean over to set her back down. She let herself fall but still held his shoulders. "At least sit down with me," she giggled, smiling at him.

Jake obliged Mia's request, twisting in her arms to sit next to her, her arms still around his neck. He kept laughing, thinking about their narrow, albeit clumsy, escape.

"That was quite the adventure, wasn't it? Those army people are going on and on about "us civvies", but then they're up there snogging like there's no tommorow!" He laughed again, rubbing a hand over his bandaged arm, quelling another bout of laughter.

"Haha I know," Mia said, laughing. "Kind of unexpected that it would be those two, though, hmm? Speaking of which, I wonder where Gavin and Faye are." She grinned devilishly as she slid one of her hands down to his arm that had the bandage. "Is your arm okay?" She bit her lip. "If they come down here and ask what we were doing, what should we say?"

Jake contemplated the question about Gavin and Faye for second, then decided he'd know eventually what the answer to that question was, as soon as he saw Faye again. He could read emotions on her face like she was an open book. Snickering slightly, Jake hesitated for a fraction of a second before planting a soft kiss on Mia's forehead.

"We could claim to have been having a heart-to-heart talk?" He suggested, teasingly.

Mia's heart pounded as she saw Jake lean down and kiss her on the forehead.

"We could claim to have been having a heart-to-heart talk?" he suggested in a joking voice. "We could," she said coyly. "Or we can make them think that they walked in on us..." She leaned up slightly and gave him a kiss on the neck. "You know?" she said softly in his ear.

Mike heard a lot of scurrying around. At least, he thought he did. Plus his ears had this burning sensation. Could be all the weird feelings he was having right now. He was confused but happy. "So...um...shall we go find Gav?" He asked, quiet sheepishly. "And do you keep hearing weird noises?"

Kate nodded at Mike, "I did, it came from the stairs," she murmured, looking down the stairs. No one there. "Maybe...maybe somebody spied on us?" she asked, glaring down the stairs.

Don't tell me somebody spied on us doing that...

"Oh...spies? That reminds me of a game we played back at the barracks." He eyes go glossy and smile comes over his face, "THE SCOUTS A SPY!" He suddenly yelled, laughing.

"So, I guess we should call him." Mike cleared his throat. "GAVIN! Come on out or I'm gonna hafta throw on a towel and chase you down!"

Kate chuckled as she made her way downstairs, leaning out of the corner to see who was the closest people to the stairs.

Jake and Mia. "Did you two go upstairs just now?" asked Kate, an eyebrow raised.

They seem...preoccupied, actually.

David was driving around in the streets by his house at full speed, completely raging at what he saw under the tree, forgetting about what happened in the garage and finally realizing the feelings he had for Faye since we was 13. "Goddamn i wish i had some sonuvabitchin' monkeyfartin' grenades to throw around."

Caren had taken herself out of what felt to her like a tension, resorting to going outside and watching over what she could see of the town on the porch of the house((if there isnt one, tell me. xD)). She had a feeling some of the people in there would get too close to each other, and start doing really stupid things when the Slenderman came back with his apprentices. It shouldn't be easy to let go of a partner, a brother in arms, but lust and full blown romantic love made it so hard that it could hurt the way a solider sees the world around him, make him reckless.....

Oh, but what was she to say about it? Nik hadnt dated since she was twenty. She hadnt let herself submit to it simply because she felt like she belong in keeping the country safe. She shouldnt have to submit another with the grief if she died or if she was hurt, much less all the emotions because they missed each other. Plus, a long distance relationship? She'd come home to him kissing another chick.

A bit frustrated with herself and the knowledge she was probably wasting precious time with all this war, killing and whatnot, Nik sighed. What she needed right now was a good manhunt, a game of cat and mouse with someone that could have been human once in his life. To be honest, she wasnt really thinking about whether or not she would come across the S-man in the process. Those apprentices have to be human some way or another, right? She was pondering seriously going after one of em, but she didnt know where to start or what to do.

"You know?"

Jake stammered a bit, finding himself speechless, his mind blanking as her lips brushed his neck. For an instant, Jake gaped at her.

Then a grin and a blush both spread simultaneously over his tan features, and Jake caught Mia's chin with his fingers. He gently, yet insistently pressed his lips against Mia's.

"Yeah, I think I do know," he breathed. Through his happy haze, Jake realized vaguely, he was still shirtless.

Jake nearly had a stroke when Kate's head poked around the corner.

"Hubba, hubba," chuckled Kate, hiding around the corner again. "Seems like we're not the only one to have hooked up, Mike..." she smirked.

David headed back to the house, still driving at full speed, engine roaring like an enraged demon, much like how he was right now. He needed an outlet for his rage and he knew what it was, "When i find that monster and its cronies they'll regret ever fucking with me!"

Mia's stomach fluttered as Jake kissed her on the lips. "Yeah, I think I do know," she heard him say softly. She saw his eyes go wide as he looked up and figured Kate had poked her head around the corner. She'd heard her ask if they'd gone upstairs but ignored it. "Just ignore her," she whispered to him, pulling him back down towards her and kissing him. "We've been here the whole time, remember?" She shut her eyes and kissed him again.
