Mike turned to Kate. "Hmm...so, sounds like we got some time to kill." He had a crooked nervous grin. "Umm...so..." he continued, his face still red, eyes downcast, "...do...do you have any family?"

His eyes were downcast but his head was also tilted down, making it hard to say where he was looking.

Faye turned her head slightly, giving Terrence a worried glance out of the corner of her eye. "So...you've only seen it on the Masky one?" Her brow furrowed for a second, as she thought, then added, "It's never happened before, right? What do you think it means? Maybe....maybe it's just a mechanism to let you know the Tall Man is nearby?" Her last query was hopeful in tone, mirroring Faye's internal hopefulness that Terrence's experience wasn't anything serious.

Katherine looked at him, wondering why he would ask. Maybe he just wanted to know more about the person who had kissed him. She smiled at that thought, sitting down and looking up at him.

"No, not anymore," she said. "'Cept you all."

He shook his head ,thin neck rotating around.

"No...i-it has never happened before. I d-do not know what it m-means, but..." And at this, he paused and smield at the blond-haired woman he had grown rather accustomed to. Even though his smile was still awkward and ill-prepared, he reflected the same inner hope which Faye held in her eyes.

"Hopefully y-you are right, and it is j-just some sort of warning s-sign...it may mean we have t-t-to leave soon, however." With this, his vocie grew quiet and serious, but sad in a way. He did not want to leave. Despite the danger, it seemed like they were all happy here...his family was happy here. Why couldn't it remain that way...?

He sighed again, and leaned against the wall, smiling at Faye complacently.

"I l-like our family..."

"I l-like our family..."

Faye grinned at the lanky white-haired man, the smile lighting up her face. "I do, too..." she trailed off, stretching her arms above her head, feeling the kinks in her shoulders releasing. Contentedly, Faye sprawled on her back at the bottom of the bed, then, remembering something else Terrence had said, frowned slightly.


"Wait, did you say David was mad at you? Do you know why?"

Mike sat down as well. "Oh? Yeah, me either, really. My parents kinda don't like me, didn't let my younger brother hang out with me at all, either. Go figure, right?" he joked with a smile. He considered sharing his experiences with Kate then but figured if she didn't go into detail about her family situation, she was not in the mood to talk.

Another look of dejection crossed Terrence's features. He was glad Faye had asked, but also somewhat disconcerted with his own answer, preemptively. Craning his neck to stare out the window vapidly, the man took a deep breath.

"I d-do not know...I was tr-trying to cheer him up, h-he seemed upset ab-about Miek and Kate kissing..." For a moment, the blue-eyed figure stopped and trailed off, lost in thought. He seemed to be focusing on things whic heh never had before. Feelings and emotions which he'd never felt, given his lifestyle in relation to The Tall One.

Now, with these things forced into the open, he felt somewhat bare and exposed. But, he would rather he be in this state around Faye than with anyone else, and this thought made him smile a bit, albeit sadly, again.

Faye had something which drew everyone to her. Like a mother figure...although, Terrence prefered to think of the younger woman as a sister. He waited before continuing, then sighed slightly in relief, finally getting things off his chest.

"I g-gave him a kiss, since we we-were both upset over n-n-not getting one from Mike..." One eyebrow cocked above the other, he looked perplexed at this, David's reaction, and his body language begged for an answer from Faye. "Th-then he got angry and stormed off..."

Faye choked a bit when Terrence answered her, but she quickly tried to recover her calm, the only evidence she was flustered being her bright red cheeks.

"You....uh...you kissed him?!" she blurted out, her eyes huge. "Well, I guess that explains why he was....uh.....so upset, then..." She eyed Terrence, realizing that the man probably never had had much romantic interaction, and now he appeared to be....well, homosexual. Or at least, bisexual. Well, maybe he just didn't understand that typically men didn't just kiss men randomly...

Steeling herself, sighing, Faye opened her mouth to explain, trying to decide on how to word it properly. After a second, she started to explain. "Well...I don't know how to explain but....uhmm..." She cut herself off, frazzled. She had NO idea how to tell Terrence why David had been upset.

Deciding to take the blunt path, Faye just suddenly said, "David was upset because....umm, we-well, it's not c-common for a man to give another m-man, a, y'know, k-kiss." Her entire face was red by this point, and Faye was developing a stutter in her frenzied attempts to explain. She added hastily, "T-though a man k-kissing a m-man DOES hap-happen sometimes..."

Andrew heard a thunder clap and woke up with a, "What the hell?" he rubbed his head and looked at the clock it'd only been 10 minutes. He yawned and took a bite from the apple still there.

"Wonder what I missed."

Gavin came down unable to find Andrew upstairs.

"Where the hell is he?" He looked over and saw on a bed, Terrence and Faye.
For a split second he was angry. Then he smacked himself on the head.

Come on you know Faye better then THAT! he walked into the kitchen to find Andrew waking up.

"Finally we've been looking for you. And by we I mean me." he grinned.

Katherine sighed and sat a little bit back, grabbing Mike by the wrist. "Sit down, McManus," she told him, pulling him down next to her. She sat silent for a moment before turning to him.

"Do you want to know what happened to my family? Or, at least, what I think happened to them?" she asked softly, a little hesitant. She was completely unsure of what to think happened to them, but since her brother's notebook had appeared out of nowhere, she had a guess as to what had happened to him overseas.

"N-not common...?"

Terrence briefly considered this, unable to wrap his head around Faye's answer. Seeing Kate and Mike embrace andkiss, and feeling what he had for Jake when the man was shirtless, he assumed all men felt this way occasionally. In fact, he hadn't considered the fact that...

"S-so I'm stra-strange...? Am I br-broken for not liking women?!" An anxious expression crossed him, and he clung to th eblanket beneath his body slightly.

This was turning outto be more upsetting than his experience with The Tall One and The Masked Man's strange occurence. How long had he been like this? Was there a way of fixing it? His worry panned itself quite clearly on his face, as hedesperately hoped Faye could answer.

Faye spluttered for a second, thrown off by Terrence's visible upset due to her answer. Awkward does NOT even BEGIN to cover this situation...

"Ah, crap, no no no, you're not broken! You're just.....more of a...uh-uhm....more unique than most people!" Faye finished lamely, mentally hitting herself in the head the moment she processed her own words. Now he's going to think he's a freak of nature or something...Think, Faye, think, crap...

"Uhmm I mean, I should say, well, uhm, you're kinda.....y'know....like, a minority! Yeah, a minority, that's it! Y'know.....I guess you can say...most people like others of the opposite gender but....some people....I guess...like both genders, and then there's some that, well.....like people who are the same gender as they are!" Faye stumbled over several words in her haste to finish her explanation, embarassed.

I am probably explaining this...horribly. This is the weirdest conversation I've ever had, hands down, though, I must say...

"Gen...der?"

Puzzled, the white haired man leaned back and lay on the bed, once again staring at the ceiling. He traced the little patterns mentally, pushing his own odd nature from his mind for the time being. Faye seemed to be stressed by trying to explain, so the large-framed man assumed it was something which was socially frowned upon that he was engaging in.

"Oh w-well. I can't do anything to cuh-control it, can I?" For a moment, this question was not rhetorical, beofre his blue eyes rolled and he shook his head good-naturedly.

"Of c-course not, anymore than I can control my h-hair color..." He began to drift off faintly into daydreams, of very loose and broad nature, smiling at Faye hap-hazardly. "T-tell David I am sorry fo rmaking him unc-cmfortable...in the future, I will w-warn him before I kiss him..."

Pausing for a moment, he spoke up once more. "Is there a name for this?"

"Is there a name for this?"

Faye coughed, surprised, then ran her hand over her face to compose herself, trying as hard as humanly possible not to giggle.

"Well, yeah...you're homosexual. Or gay, both mean the same...thing." Faye let a tiny giggle escape before stifling herself with a hand over her mouth.


He's like a little kid when it comes to this, all awkward and innocent and curious... Shaking her head, Faye stared at the ceiling, tracing the familiar patterns with her eyes absentmindedly, pondering the odd conversation she'd just had.

As an afterthought, she added, awkwardly "I'm not too sure you should kiss David again...I don't think he...swings that way."

Gavin motioned for Andrew to join the rest in the living room. Now on the hunt for the rest. He would get to Faye and Terrence. They were obviously talking. But where was David?

He went looking through a few rooms before going to check the garage.

Andrew sighed. It was peaceful while it lasted. Still he got up and head into the living room seeing the couples. He grinned being unable to resist.

"Jake you lied this is a place for couples!" he began to laugh.
