[quote="aliendial"]what's your point, mostly? Are you going to get those for us?

since when do we need a point? Starting a new thread was an option but there are too many right now

Michigan has 6 axons, 3 of which are right next to my house. I can finially do something. Hurray!

*Edit*

SP hinting that the axons are not hot yet:
Plans for construction
—roads not built yet but coming—
I stole them for you!

The SP stole the plans from the queen and gave them to us so we can get coordanated and hit the axons hard and fast. Why the SP is helping us help Mel is confusing though.

Got back from my axon runs. The SP axons are not active, as I not only checked a real phone that I can confirm, I checked the new one for the Pittsburgh area. Nothing, and nothing. All I got out of it was putting stickers on the phone of a bee and "ilovebees.com" on it, so everyone knows that these would be axons... And so I don't forget. Lol.

What a great idea! Any idea where those can be found/purchased, or did you make your own?

That means they will probably be going active tuesday. Good, I can cover the ones in my city then! I was worried I'd missed it.

That is a really cool idea! I think I'll make some stickers on the computer.

Is anyone else RREALLY interested in hearing canidate? I need to know how that sentence ends!

I'm looking forward to the next round. The plot thickens with each wave file...

I made my own using photoshop and some Avery labels. Heh. Just downloaded a bunch of pics off the website.

[SPEC] Axons and the PMs

Note: This post includes info that will break the Alternate Reality metaphor. Do not read if you don't want to be brought back to reality about this game.

I think that the list of planned axons for next week being shown to us so soon, before the second set is finnished, is a telling hint that the spec on other threads that we are some how influencing the placement of the axons has been proven not to be true. SP makes the obvious. This again sparks my intrest in the chosen position of the axons, and hopefully this means that there is more behind the axons than simply answering phones. I think that this should spur us on to take another look at everything that we have been given and see what we have missed. This is deffinatly a big hint that something has passed us by.

I respectfully disagree (although I will admit you could be right). My bet is simply that this is a reaction to people whining that they didn't have enough time to prepare to get to all those payphones.

I have to agree with Clamatius on that. Take my situation for example. There were no Albuquerque, or even New Mexico axons until I started complaining that I couldn't do anything. And someone elsewhere (can't remember where, unfortunately) mentioned that ILB keeps track of IP addresses, which could easily track how often it was being accessed from certain regions. Since Executive License and Key Lime, I've gotten in contact with one more Albuquerque Beekeeper who're not on the forums, and he knows about six or seven more (though mostly "yunguns" as he put it).

Honestly, it makes sense that the PM's are watching us. They're taking our "advise" in form of spec. and introducing it to the game. Chances are they had a general plan set out, but when we provide a more interesting way to do something, they take the bait and then WE take the bait. I personally applaud them for their flexibility and the "personal" touch it adds.

Edited for grammar

Yep. It's in this thread, among other places.

Killer12

Thanks to clamatius, we now have a copy of the Killer12 picture with the coordinates from 08:31 - 09:17. The only picture missing is now Killer7 with what I can only guess to be coordinates from 09:19 - 10:05. So, if you happen to come across this picture, please save it and post it to the forums.

Thanks!!

[SPEC - WARNING - SPEC]

I wonder if the coordinate set for Killer 7 will be put up on Tuesday morning? That would really mess with us...

Considering that it's Labor Day weekend for the US, and for the first time I was able to adventure in the Kingdom of Loathing and not take two hours to complete 3 adventures, I'd say the early release of US payphone numbers by the Sleeping Princess was a pre-emptive measure, in addition to help assuage our difficulties with the last round. Not many people are online this weekend - many people aren't even at their usual homes for a few days.

Personally, I think our difficulties with the last round was that we thought we were freaking done with the phones, and then comes along the wee Princess, tying phone cords around our necks, giggling madly. Cords attached to balloons.

I'd amend that a bit and say we hoped we were done, but we knew the goal was 777. I was really hoping WE wouldn't have to get them all. So getting even more axons without any advance notice was, well, surprising to say the least. And tedious. And now, with week three of the same thing, and a week four appearing likely, even more tedious.

*grins and shouts* Hey out there! We need some other puzzle than phone coordinates! At least for a little while!
