[PUZZLE] "picture is flawed" pictures

okay long time replyer, longer time lurker, and first time puzzle poster.

Ive been attacking that UA document trying to enhance the text underneath.

I seem to be able to bring it out, but I cant sharpen the text enough. Any professional graphic design / photo touch up guys here?

I'm posting two examples, the file names are pretty descriptive of what I used on them. The resolution of the image though is so small that I don't *think* we are supposed to be trying to enhance them, they look too low res to be of any use. Maybe we might have to try lemon juice, or 3D glasses or something Razz but I'm posting my result to maybe inspire or help point in the right direction

I don't know why, but I'm almost certain that pic is stegged.

I ran stegdetect on it - negative.

We played with the color filters in Photoshop a bit and only were able to make out the word "Producer" (a couple lines down under the TT logo - you should be able to see it in the undoctored image). Also contains a lot of long words. My guess: it's the second page of the same document showing through underneath.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
in the source of http://www.dreadhouse.com/document1.html is an ascii image of a stegosaurus which wasn't there before (talk about an obvious hint). destegging the uc.jpg image on that page using "flawed" as a password (from "the picture you see is flawed") gives you another jpg image which says " www.dreadhouse.com/myconnection.html "

The myconnection.html page appears to be just a red background but if you look in the source, there's obviously more to it. I don't really understand the stuff in the source but I think the purpose is to "hide" red2.jpg. Going to it directly at www.dreadhouse.com/images/red2.jpg gives a message from JC or Jaime Cypher!

fyi, efforts to desteg ua.jpg and ub.jpg using "flawed" as password yielded nothing

You can also click on the page www.dreadhouse.com/myconnection.html near the upper left corner and "move" a red box that is covering the text hidden beneath. You have to play with it to find the proper spot and when you do don't let go your mouse button. If you do and can't see the entire image just reload and try again.

That is so cool!

Sure, GB, very very convenient that only you seem to have seen the ascii art, and picked the right desteg software and and and....

well anyway, the current uc.jpg looks just like the original version of the memo, and it has the steg image inside. Also, the original version of uc.jpg, which is the memo addressed to joe, has the steg image. The original version of the memo however, while being a larger file, has no steg in it. Is the 'joe' version of the image completely gone now?

hm.

the stegosaurus ascii art has since been removed from the source of that page. enaxor was kind enough to have send me a copy of the source (Thanks enaxor!!! Very Happy ) I think you have to save it as a text file on your drive, otherwise it'll open in your browser.

"The picture you see=uc is flawed".

Well, I haven't seen anyone else point this out, so I will.
This phrase in Jaimie's message caught my eye: "When you receive my mailing, you'll understand."
SPEC: Maybe the addresses we e-mailed to the secrets address will be put to use after all. This kind of hints at it, at least in my mind.

Oh well, that's just my $.02
