Faye chuckled, giving Andrew another poke. Smelling cigarette smoke, she looked up, nose wrinkling. Her gaze landed on Kate and the new guy, who's name Faye didn't know. Faye had always disliked smoking, though she tolerated it. She scowled as her lungs began to react to the smoke, patting her pockets for her inhaler. She could feel her asthma acting up with every breath.

It took Faye a few seconds to realize: she'd lost her inhaler.
Ah, shit.

Jake stared blankly down at Mia for a moment, thinking. Rubbing his chin musingly, Jake said haltingly, "Maybe there's another bathroom, and they kept Carmen's make-up in there?

He frowned, slightly confused he knew David's sister's name. Jake supposed it made sense though, since he'd known Dave via Faye, even though Jake hadn't remembered much about Dave yet.

"Maybe..." Mia said absentmindedly. "I didn't know her name was Carmen." She stood up carefully, keeping the towel wrapped tightly around her body. "I guess I'll go look." She walked towards the door and paused, turning around. "Are you okay?" she asked. "You seem a little...out of it or something."

Caren, having walked inside, overheard what Kate had said about paying respects. Really, it didnt matter to her if she didnt know exactly who Gavin was yet, but the fact that his parents had died by that monster's hand was enough to make her pay her respects.

Tall guy had to be....destroyed, for lack of better word. Things like this just werent fair.

"Whats going on?" Caren asked when she walked into the room where Desmond and Kate were.

Mike heard this new guy say his name was Desmond. For some odd reason, he thought back to his time in the barracks. A bunch of the guys were watching this show he couldn't quiet follow. He did know there was this guy named Desmond, same accent, traveled through time on some weird island or something. He never was quiet clear on that. He did, however, smile when someone picked a fight with him over it being the best show of all time.

He walked over to where he and Kate were standing. He was no smoker himself but smoke didn't bother him. He saw Caren approach at almost the same time.

"So, correct me if I'm wrong but you said you have stuff that might kill it?" he said to the Scotsman. "And Caren, seeing how fire hurt that thing, still think my original plan is a bad idea?" he said with a cocky grin.

"You seem a little...out of it or something."

Jake looked up when Mia spoke to him, snapping out of his daze. He ran his fingers nervously through his hair before replying, "Yeah, sorry, I was just thinking..."

He trailed off as Mia shut her eyes abruptly, rubbing her forehead with a look of concentration. Jake tilted his head, a questioning expression on his face. "Right now it seems like I should be the one asking....Are YOU okay?"

He moved towards her slightly, peering at her face. "Is it that voice or something again? Mia?" He asked gently, worried.

"Yeah," she muttered, not opening her eyes. "Yeah, it..started saying stuff again."

JUST.GO.GET.A.KNIFE.

"No," she whispered. "I'm not going to do that." She squeezed her eyes tighter and waited until she felt like it was gone.

"I think that's it for now," she said offhandedly. "Um. What were we doing?" She was a bit dazed but glad it was gone. "Makeup, right? Looking for another bathroom..." She turned her head slightly, looking vaguely down the hall at the other rooms.
