 		Looking at the scan posted by badhand77 here I find it funny that they put an ear on the back of the article. I was also looking at the text bits to the left of the article, seeing if 'tombstoning' them revelaed anything and found only one blatant and funny situation - next to the large Encom logo the text at left is read 'very popular later years'. Laughing

 		You know what I just noticed... The article just below the ENCOM one is a part of the Wikipedia entry for the 1996 Everest disaster, almost word for word.

My Virgin phone has a 919 Area Code, the "Contact Me" number was a 919, and the wrong number I got this morning was 919. 919 Is North Carolina, and no idea how that might play into the ARG (here's a list of cities and towns covered by 919)

 		I just secured what I hope to be my obsessive achievement. Plane tickets secured. Flying from Chicago to Toronto, getting in at 9am, beeline for the theatre, then spending the rest of the day in Toronto to fly home by 6pm.

I sure hope this isn't just the preview they're showing next week before Alice. Smile

During the TDK viral my Joker phone rang more than a few times with wrong numbers. It certainly kept me on my toes. Nothing like getting amped at 3:00 AM over the prospect of a new clue, only to find out that someone mistakenly drunk-dialed you!

You might expect more of that, because prepaid numbers are very often rapidly recycled numbers. This is even more true if the numbers are directly obtained from the FCC instead of leased from another carrier or provider. There's also a tendency of prepaid phones to get numbers with a history of problems like previous holder's nuisance issues. SpaceBass' phone has gotten collector calls - another common reason recycled numbers get shoved off to cheap providers.

I picked up my package and it is indeed the 'cache' wallet, tokens, article and cards as well as a blue bit. Avatar is supposed to be playing at 11:45 in Toronto I believe, so I am indeed quite curious as to what we might be seeing tomorrow. My daughter and I will be watch the original tonight so I can prepare her as to give her a bit of context for tomorrow. Still can't get the phone number off the phone, it's just not there.

I've been trying the Lightcycle codes various places without success. I thought they might be context variables for YouTube or flickr. No luck so far.

Several pages back, this image was noted for the fact that the sign isn't working properly.

So, does anyone know of a well known website that uses 8 character placeholders like "PILPARwu"? Ring a bell with anyone?

I tried asking info AT flynnlives.com about it, but mail to that address is currently bouncing.

I don't think this is anything - the neon signs at the arcade that night were on-and-off and a bit flickery the whole time. A deliberate thing, as it foreshadowed the wall opening etc.
