Yes, well, Wongmo is obviously just answering the mail he gets in a dutiful and unknowing manner... he just placed everything he received on his page. And this actually fits in quite well with the Mr. Lightheaded-image the guy's got going on, I mean, if you preach what Wongmo preaches, you would probably get the weirdest e-mail too Smile

Sent him my Matrix Haiku!

You Hide Truth With Code
It Is Inevitable
I Fail To Find You

maybe I'll win a scholarship to Ralph Wiggum's dream college ("Bovine University")

This doesn't mean any thing. As I pointed out earlier it looks like they just used a lot of the emails that players sent them, like you or me. Like someone asking what was mlo's password. Sounds like something one of us would send since many of us (me included) tend to grasp for straws in this game.

That's a cool Haiku. I sent in a little poem of my own this weekend, I doubt we'll hear anything. But this was what I sent:

The Little Girl
By niobexrev

The little girl dreams of cows and moons.
The little girl dreams of forks and spoons.
She even has dreams of cats bowing strings.
She dreams she can fly, though without wings.
And yet she will find when she wakes up soon,
That there are no cats, no cows, no moons.
And there are no strings, no forks, no spoons.

The REAL Wongmo

This might be something. I've been looking for real websites that might help. You might find something in this website: Leslie Richen-Wongmo

"Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo is a contemporary American textile artist working in a Tibetan tradition. In her work, sacred Buddhist images commonly portrayed in Tibetan thangka paintings are rendered in vivid mosaics of silk."

"'Thangka' is also less commonly transliterated as thanka, tangka and in various other ways, and this pieced and embroidered type is often referred to as applique."

Maybe some of these real things had some influence on the fictional Wongmo's name (which has its roots in Buhdist culture with "love").

Grasping for more straws yet again? Maybe, but as it's being pointed out over and over again "The Matrix" has many symbolisms rooted in real life. All I can say is check it out.[/url]

Mail boxes

Has anyone played with the numbers on the mailboxes? They are the same colors as some of the 'little-boxes' on Beths site, the first one is a 52, the second a 70...7052? Maybe an voice mail password? I'd try it but I don't think my employer would appreciate random long distance calls Rolling Eyes

Just a thought...one of the few I've had !

This has probably already been mentioned. If you go over to the wongmo page Kabir is quoted as saying, "I laugh when I hear the fish in the water is thirsty."

It's an excerpt from a Kabir poem. Here it is in full.

Quote:
I laugh when I hear the fish in the water is thirsty.

You don't grasp the fact that what is most alive of all is inside your own

house;

And so you walk from one holy city to the next with a confused look!

Kabir will tell you the truth: Go wherever you like, to Calcutta or Tibet;

If you can't find where your soul is hidden, for you the world will never

be real!

Very Matrixy don't you think? If you look at some of the other Kabir poems (found here), you'll see a lot of "Matrixy" poetry. The "fish" one is poem #8.

stress reli

My doctor finally insisted that I take a stress management class, after this last move and looking for work , my blood pressure is constantly high.

So I'm in a class with a small group and the group leader, a psychologist specializing in this stuff tells us to listen stress management mp3s so we can learn to relax and she gives us one she recorded.

The next week one of the group brings in a CD recorded by Brian Weiss, one of the leaders in the field of past life regression. Already, my suspicion level is high.

We're listening to the CD pretending we are on some magical island and everything is going fine until, I hear this:... imagine, visualize, dolphins...

I'm not sure what comes after that because I started laughing so hard that I didn't hear it. The rest of the class disapproved, but I didn't care, it was so hilarious.
