I don't feel that way Euchre.
You can still find it online, i bet... wouldn't be much of a reward...
maybe as just an additional download would be cool... but i don't want to play for something i can already get, y'know what i'm sayin'?

The only one you can find online is a really bad, shot from the hip recording by someone at the screening. The teaser is basically 90% the same as the one released a year later and currently viewable on the official site and other trailer sites. I remember when the news of that bootleg broke - I was totally enthused.

I still am, really. Cool

I still prefer Tr2N or Tron 2.0 to the whole legacy thing. I understand because of Sam(?) that it makes sense the whole legacy thing but still...

Well, not just for that...
If this movie does as well as we all hope, there will more tron movies... Legacy is an apt name for the start of a franchise.

Mmm I have my doubts. Bringing everyone back together for a one shot is one thing. A series? Dubious. Most likely if they did, they'd get rid of everyone except a tokn character or two and it would go downhill quickly.

Hm. Imagine a tron tv series tho.

I'll admit. I've fantasised for years about a Tron/matrix crossover. Think about it- Tron fights for the users. It'd be wacky but awesome if it could work.

Well, the industry buzz according to a disney-related blog site someone posted early, is that the hopes is to use Legacy to spring-board a franchise.

As is the possibility of a tv series to fill time between movies.

And I don't think a Tron/Matrix crossover would be plausible. "The Matrix" franchise is owned by WB.

Okay, I'm sorry, but that just sounds awful.

Oh, they would never be able to pull it off and it would be just awful. But admit it- if they made it, you'd go see it, just out of sheer morbid curiosity.

did anyone consider PAXeast to be the location of the press conference? it's going to be huge (its sold out actually). Wouldn't surprise me if they snuck it in a convention like they did with comicon. It's in Boston though.

I dunno. A comicon is concerned with various areas of speculative fiction, beyond just comics- it extends to books, movies, cartoons, video games. I've never been to any of the PAXs (nobody ever holds conventions here in NYC anymore, thanks to the Lunarians) but my understanding is that it's a big gaming convention, primerily concerned with just that- games. It wouldn't seem....appropriate?

ARG's have been at PAX before. Something in the Sea, a game for Bioshock 2, was at PAX last year. Granted, it was an ARG for a game, but still...ARG's have been at PAX before... Very Happy

I don't know if the ENCOM conference will give us a lead as to do next. I think it'll be like the Harvey Dent press conference MP3 (which I still have if anyone wants it) where it's within its own part of the viral and doesn't give us a clue as to what's going to happen next. We'll see, though....

Okay, I did a quick google search to find out more about this, but couldn't find anything. Care to elaborate? I am in Chicago and all of our conventions are pulling out due to the unions and taxes.

I think it should be Tron 10, but I think that would confuse the masses...

PAX East is the final weekend in March. I'm an Enforcer (volunteer group), and I will hear quite a bit about what's going on while I'm there. However, there's nothing Tron or Encom-related on the schedule right now -- http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/schedule.php

I'd also like to point out that only 3-day badges and Saturday badges are sold out, you can still buy Friday and Sunday badges at http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/registration.php (which is cheaper than waiting until day of, and it may sell out completely by then).

One of my first thoughts when I read that AICN post about the Encom conference was that it could be at PAX, but it was far enough away that I ruled it out as a strong possibility. GDC - http://www.gdconf.com/ is next week, although I also would rule it out due to it being for game devs who aren't looking to have a movie ARG marketed to them.
