They CHANGED THE ENDING! I can't believe they CHANGED THE ENDING to a two year old game!


At the end, when you beat GLaDOS... Before she's sucked in to the ceiling she says "Things have changed since the last time you left the building", along with some more unintelligble noises.

When you leave the building and are outside, a robotic voice says "Thank you for assuming party escort position", or something like that... I can't really make it out. And then you start getting dragged away.

That, to me, confirms the theory of Portal 2.

Electronic Entertainment Expo, it's one of the biggest video gaming conventions in the world. it's been pretty much closed off to the public the past few years, allowing only media heads to roam the place. irregardless, at least 10,000 media heads are attending the convention. they reveal upcoming games, and more often than not hype a lot of games.

After you escape the furnace, GLaDOS mentions some sort of "party associate" will come by to pick you up if you lay down your weapon. Some speculate it might be one of those.

Specifically, GLaDOS mentions this party associate will come pick you up if you lay down your weapon and "Assume the party escort submission position"

My impression was less that it was the player being dragged away, and more GLaDOS creeping away. Just due to the pace of the slow, jerky movement. But perhaps it makes more sense to "recapture" the player".
