This was a great and fun ARG. Even if my wife thought I was just a little goofy for going on and on about how we were going to bring down the mighty OMM!! Oh well, I guess she'll just have to watch the movie. Thanks alot PMs and thanks to everyone who played along and helped create the great community we have going. You guys ROCK!!!

Laughing I love what you said about your wife!!!! Nothing worse than an uneducated Partner in all things THX! Laughing Wink

Atleast my Partner knew partly what I was rambling on about!! (Having seen the Film) This ARG had consumed my whole being!!!! I was living and breathing it! And what fun it was.

Shame it has ended really, I am looking forward to the next one though. Smile

BTW:

Does anyone recognize the music which plays at:

http://www.subcitycentral.net/OU812/omm.html

It is very catchy and sure expresses the joy of OMM no longer in control over the masses.

I was also wondering the same thing, I just love that Music!! And it is'nt from the Film, so where is it from?

Maybe the PM's can answer this question for us?

PM's, please tell us where you got the Music from and who the Artist is?

It was very fitting for the fall of our mighty OMM, I do agree.

The music is so addictive that I "can't get it out of my head"!! (OOPS! An Electric Light Orchestra reference!! Wondered how long I would last here before that happened??!!) Smile Wink

Re: Family just not understanding.

My wife was forever fake-coughing the word "nerd," "geek," or "loser" as she passed by the computer while I was working through the SEN game. It was all in good fun!

So, what is next? Any of you going to follow v3 over at virtuquest?

I do miss all the interaction we had over the last month or so Sad . I hope to see many of you around again for more ARG's Smile .

Hi Don,

I miss our interaction as well, it seems strange to turn on the PC and not see any Posts in my inbox from unfiction. I got so used to putting my mail in alphabetical order and looking for them, that I am still doing it now!

It was a pleasant sight to see you posting here. Smile

I had my Parents and Brother's down here today and I could'nt resist showing them Subcity Central, and my credit!!

They did'nt understand it properly as they have never been involved in an ARG and have never seen THX-1138.

Well, I put in my Birthday Present Order with them today for the DVD and CD Soundtrack!! Wink

So, hopefully next Month when my Birthday comes around I will have these gems in my hands!! Smile

I've not been following v3, is it any good? What is it about?

I have signed up for the open Autumn ARG though, which I am looking forward to playing. I put myself in as an active player, like I was in this game.

I have no idea what v3 (virtucube) is about yet. All I get at the virtuquest.com page is the rotating cube with v3 on it. Dunno

I thought about signing up for the open ARG, but there was too much personal information needed (cell number, etc) for me. Although, one of the reviews at virtuquest did mention someone actually coming to a person's place of work to drop off some password or something. Shocked

I don't know. I am still on the fence about that one. Ever see the US movie "The Game" with Michael Douglas? It reminds me of the signup for the open ARG.

It was good to hear from you again.

I've played a few of virtuquest's games and they were quite fun. They sometimes do Corporate ARGs - I think they are used as some sort of team building or trust building sort of thing. I'm guessing that it was during one of those that the live actor dropped off the password at work. Dunno They do have options on the signup form for the Open ARG for ARG Activity Level and Desire Direct Contact. So if you don't want anyone calling you, selecting passive level with no direct contact would probably prevent that Smile

I would love to have the Laserdisc of it for my collection! I have never seen it on this format before. I only found out it existed when I signed up to THX-1138.org and saw people mention it on the forums.

I've got the original VHS of it, which I watch quite often. I think I have watched this film more than any other.

I really do hope I get the DVD and CD for my Birthday next Month, I will be one happy Community Member if I do! Smile

Hi Don,

I did'nt mind giving them my Cell Number, I very much doubt they will contact me this way anyway, as they are based in the USA and I am based in the UK. It would be very costly for them, they would be better off contacting me the same way as they did with Subcity Central, via my AIM account.

I am looking forward to this Game starting, I can't wait to find out what it is all about!

Have you heard of the Film "Cube"? I have a feeling it could be based on this. Everyone has to get out of this Cube place. I have never actually seen it, it was shown on our Sci Fi Channel a while back, and I was gonna watch it, but I missed it unfortunately.

I've not seen the Michael Douglas Film "The Game", but I have heard of it, I will definitely keep an eye open for it, sounds interesting.
