I think I know what Kato means. If you use the clear history button, there is a new icon under the audio puzzle download folder on the desktop screen. It's another mini icon which randomly opens one of the 10 SR_## directories.

I'm thinking it's something new for when episode two starts up and for any new folks right now. However the (smart) people of this forum have already gone through and solved everything within all those directories through other means

That + the ten minute countdown Kevin mentioned are the only new things if you restart. In the end you still get booted out and are presented with the ERROR msg over the anomaly.

I was contacted last night after posting by one of the support heads from IDGI.

By clicking the skull & crossbones and starting over, I was able to go through everything everyone here did, but when I posted something that seemed off, they left me a private message asking how I got the countdown (they thought it was a possible bug) since that is triggered by one event..... after letting him know that's exactly what happened, he let me know that I was at the point that everyone else is at, and that the second episode will be beginning soon.

Since then, I restarted and went back and did everything again. I copied and pasted all the various codes that everyone has already cracked (which I haven't been able to since I don't know what kind of code they are) and also got a couple of the picture files that had the IP address in red on them (speaking of..... anyone notice the reverse writing on those pictures?)

So anyway.... I guess we're still in a holding pattern, but if you're bored you can restart and play for a little bit before the next episode comes up.

Nope, it wasn't Vidal. Definitely OOG. Someone monitoring this forum to make sure things are going smoothly I suppose. Just making sure I didn't run across a bug.

Thanks for the links to the code breakers (or whatever it is actually LOL). I'll run it through them later today so I can see where I am.

Going through the list of codes that I got and I don't recall seeing them listed in here..... some spam email (Nigerian schemes), one liner jokes, message from Vidal (I guess) and this nonsense:

Well since I've been made (thanks Kevin! lol) and you guys are definitely the most vocal following our game... I thought I would introduce myself and such. Myself and AlienMelon are the only two OOG team members on the team page. Part of my job is to monitor the experience people are having, to ensure everything runs smoothly (as KevinG472 said) and to find and squash any bugs or issues that may arise. That being said, if anyone has any problems with any aspect of our game or feels they have found a "bug", please feel free to PM me through here, or email me directly at support.at.interdimensionalgames.com

Also, to clarify any confusion that may have arose from the "clear history" button and everything that happens if you restart the experience: It is extremely important to us that our pre-game ARG be playable by anyone, starting at any given point in time and that it actually makes sense (and not just makes sense to the fine folks who are following along on this forum). For the majority of you that have been playing along for weeks, even months, you are NOT missing anything by not restarting. We have condensed episode one so that it can be playable by any new players coming along and wanting to jump into the action during Episode Two, Three, and so on. This is why the entire experience is "state based", so that new players can always jump in at any point and quickly catch up to the front-line players without missing any steps along the way.

I don't think there's any hidden meaning. It's saying that if you've finished the episode (done certain actions on the other side) then you're locked out until episode 2.

I think that Lystella's quote implies that maybe if you don't do a certain action you will not be kicked out and able to recieve whatever is next in the game

Hey iantharann; yep we found that a while back:) I don't think we have found anywhere to actually USE that IP yet. We are all kind of playing the waiting game atm as i guess we're between episodes. I have restarted the whole thing 5 or 6 times now and I'm pretty sure we have covered everything there is to cover. It's just a matter of waiting now until the damn ERROR stops popping up over the anomaly.

The only thing we have not "solved" I guess would be the audio clips. There is a wiki setup if you missed it in previous posts: http://interdimensionalgaming.wikia.com/wiki/IDGi_Wiki where mr.galt has amazingly put up ALL the audio clips for convenience. A lot of it goes together but it's not 100% yet.
