I received a pendant in a small red velvet bag, a pentagram I suppose. In a small plain envelope with no postmark, note same as others - Thanks. Please put this somewhere safe. Dale S.

regarding the Oak Men

Also from the faerie oracle cards commentary.

Quote:

had an intersesting lesson from the Oak Men about how we humans use faeries to
mirror our own projections. The eyes of the Oak Men are a warm light brown, but some
people look at them and say " ohh red eyes! Scary!"
I tried experiment using a little digital magic. I made a copy of the Oak Men and
gave them blue eyes. I then asked people for their impressions of the Men and words
like 'innocent" and " sweet" and " melancholy" came back. Then I changed them to
an unreal looking violet and got "oooh so spiritual! So wise!"

Had the Oak Men changed? Of course not, but what people projected onto them had.
When we look at a faery, we can simply project all of our fears and insecurities
and prejudices and delusions on them - or we cantry to see them as they are. In a
sence all oracles are simply mirrors of the wisdom and confusion with in the reader,
but if we only look at them through our personal filters and projections, we learn
very little. It is only when we actually try to see beyond ourselves that we begin
to use the oracle as a mirror of the cosmos and all of it's wisdom.

the ending...

... When I see this card I lose track of time. I felt deep grounding and peace,
contentment. Everything is there if you take the time to be part of it.....

.... The universe like the oak men, is full of wisdom and compassion and strength,
but it doesn't always come in pretty packages

Lets see, we have strange eyes with different meanings. The meaning of Sarah Wyatt's
painting, a refernce to widom and confusion, fairies, trees, the packages you all received. I think we may need
to find this kind of stuff for all the others as well.

I will spec now that the dead eyes are faeries. Now how do I tell Dr. Kendra. We finally settled on cult, something she is willing to believe in.

About the four quartered necklace, actually, I think you turn it to the "lion head" up to get the stars and moon right. I think it's a representation of the triple goddess.

Not sure its a lion, but we may be looking at the magical kingdoms in history/world.

Egypt, celt of european, asia, and africa? Is this a voodoo symbol? I don't believe it's native american, but it seems we need to figure out the other group to understand. Maybe they are all different sides of the same coin? Same thing?

I do beleve it is a sun with a face. It appears to be a pendant that I have found in two other places:

http://www.mysticool.com/celestial/necklaces.html and
http://www.paganpretties.com/goddess.htm

I can't find the same exact necklace, but one of those sites gives a pretty good explanation:

Quote:
Various symbols are hand carved into both sides of this natural bone disc. Representing eternal life (the Ankh), abundance & prosperity (the Sun), balance (Yin Yang) and secret knowledge (the Moon) this amulet is perfect for any eclectic follower of Nature and the Goddess.

Just to add some detail: pentagram pendant is 13/16" in diameter, 1/8" thick. Stone behind the silver star seems to be hemetite. Found some info on hemetite here http://www.crystalmatrixonline.com/crystal/archives/hemetite.html. I thought this was interesting "It can also build a reflector shield during times of psychic or physical attacks."

The trinkets and Wes

It is not impossible that Dale got some of these things (or all) from Wes. Has anyone asked Wes about it?
If not, he might recognize them anyway and shed some light on their higher purpose and meaning..

Although Wes may not have sent it, he may have insight, nonetheless. I'd say send pictures of the objects to Wes...it couldn't hurt.

The 3 cards may be a "3 card reading" often past, present, future, in regards to a question. To figure out the order, might we try mapping out where the 3 people who got the cards live and map it out?

To figure out the question, I would assume we would work with what is driving Dale now - where is the Wish or how do I get my family back.
Either one could be answered, ...a place you can't go.

Card meanings in a three card spread

From the http://www.worldoffroud.com, here are the interpretations of the cards as part of a reading:

The Oak Men
This card depicts the strength and wisdom of age. It also reminds us that what we need to know, what is truly there to be seen, cannot be discovered by a superficial glance and hasty reaction. In a reading, the Oak Men tell us to look slowly and deeply into the heart of the matter and to see past the superficialities of the surface. Consider the history of the situation in depth, and learn from the past. Consult others with more experience than you have. Learn from the wisdom of the elders, both those available to you personally and those you encounter in books and elsewhere. In this matter it would be wise to make your decisions after more pondering and study of the situation. Consider motivations in depth. Take action only after thorough deliberation. The Oak Men tell us that haste may be, at this moment, our worst enemy. They also suggest that one might learn a lot from trees. Consider the trees and their wisdom. Connect with a wise old one and ask for help.

Death
Something has reached a natural ending and there is substantial and irrevocable change in the works. This change may be inner or outer or, most likely, both. It is timely and natural, but there may be much resistance to it. Leaves fall every autumn; in the spring the trees are green again with new leaves. Make room for the new in your life--let the old go, lovingly, gently, willingly.

The Sage
Here we see wisdom and deep inner understanding. One of the keys of wisdom is to organize, integrate, and simplify one's thoughts. Complexity often leads to confusion; simplicity is to be valued. This card signifies mental discipline informed by balanced learning and compassion. Tradition is valued but appropriate change is accepted. The Sage knows when to let go and when to move on. He knows when to retreat and think things over. He compassionately and wisely shares his knowledge with others, teaching by example as well as by precept. The scales of justice are balanced in the Sage's hands.

The cards would be Past, Present and Future from left to right, so maybe we can interpret them thusly once we know where they are.

Found this.

When a faery looks at you or me, it sees us as energy beings. It sees our physical
bodies as pure energy and our subtle energy fields (auras) as an integral part of
us, not in any way separate from our "physical" bodies. It sees the whole of what
we are because that is shown clearly in our energy fields.

In the trailer we see a sort of xray of Dale with the gun to his head. This may
be how the Wish saw him. If so the Wish is part of the Fairy world.

In reading about the Oak Men card, we are told that fairies are mirrors, we see
them as a mirror of our minds. The discriptions of the "dead eyes" varied by who
saw them. Wes is into conspiracy theory - so he saw them as Men in Black. Dead eyes
are Oak Men type of Fairy.

The Sage is apart from the faery world since he lives like a hermit. He is wisdom
and sees the truth of things. He is knowledge. Benevolent even if you don't like
the answers. Is willing to share or teach knowledge. Also the idea to keep it simple.
The Emerald Tablet in a way is simple truth - as above so below, as below so above. The
guides are represented by the sage.

The death card is transition, also a doorway or doorstep between worlds. Both the
fairies and the guides know how to travel between worlds. Who do you chose?

Did Dale contact both these groups in his search? Maybe dead eyes aren't so bad,
just how you precieve them.

Now for wacked out spec. Dale is a aspiring writer who started his own company
so he would have time to write the best seller in his head. Could this all have started
with make believe and he ended up contacting real magic and it's out of his control.
This would explain his guilt when he says he made it happen. What you put out into
the world - his book- comes back to you 3 or 10 fold depending on your believe system.
Will his computer have his book in it? Or is it somewhere on synthasia?
