Well okay, 'hostage videos' just because I didn't know wtf else to call them. Return-like videos, at any rate. (What do you call it when a dude in a mask comes, takes you out of your house, shoots videos of your comatose adventures involving masked men, an 'ark' of some sorts, and a tall entity with no face, posts said videos to a popular internet video site, and leaves you back in your room the next day wondering wtf just happened?) The concept of holding a person hostage to coerce the person being held hostage into action is funny though.

That was more just wishful thinking on an interesting turn this series could take rather than just three more months of "lol, things happen while I'm asleep. Maybe I should leave." :v

I do want something to happen soon though. You generally don't say you're coming for someone and then give them enough time to obtain a visa to Canada.

I call that some fucked up use of rohypnol, right thar!

Yeah, well, apparently Masky thought it was funny, too. XD Frickin' 'games', hey?

The goofy part is that even if they DO give Jay enough time to have obtained a passport to bugger off to Nunavut, instead he will probably have been sitting at home playing the new release of Pokemon instead. XD I would like to see a video of him doing something decisively smart and ass-saving instead of 'I thought it was a good idea at a time until I started teleporting!'--

Huh, maybe Masky is taking Herpex? Would explain how he's getting past Jay's barricades~

...now I'm imagining Masky in one of those 'I HAVE GENITAL HERPES' commercials. D:

Hahahaha "the place you go to in between places". I think I know what that is!

Hey, I can feel Jay there. Come tomorrow, Slenderman will have to pry SoulSilver out of my cold dead hands. D:<

Oh god Herpex. I don't even.

Right now I'm imagining Slendy wandering around Nunavut and the north pole, and suddenly this makes perfect sense.

Also, you guys are making me sad that I will not be playing SoulSilver anytime soon because I lack a DS.

Oh. God. Who drew that?! That's hilarious! XD Why haven't I seen that before?! (The bag full of video cameras! XDD)

The basement bears a frightening resemblance! (The baseball dad calling "Good job... Tim... :c" is appropriate. XD)

Honestly, you people! Once you've played one game of pokemons you can pretty much figure out what's going to happen in the newest version.

I have no idea; I think it originated from Something Awful and then someone posted it here too. But seriously, my favourite piece of Marble Hornets art. I love Brian's limp form because WHERE IS BRIAN IS HE DEAD WE JUST DON'T KNOW.

Greetings.

I just rewatched #13, mostly due to me thinking of something while I was napping off my allergy medicine. I brought up the stage mark (which they mostly use colored tape for in tv and such) thing as my first post, and I forgot to bring that entry up as the piece that stuck that idea in my head.

I believe it is the first entry to include the mark where it isn't an Alex scribble. The mark appears to be chalk, or a similar mineral product, though it doesn't smudge when brushed, which I found kind of interesting. It does look worn though.

There were two things that struck me about this video. 1. That I'm not positive on what Alex is doing out there. It looks like location scouting at first glance, but there is that bit of footage from EXIT that people have speculated was footage that Alex decided to record of J himself. Was this the actual purpose of the trip? Did Alex suspect J was pulling a prank? (also, it seems to suggest J is The Operator, but the phrase does seem to have the double meaning of making it look like it might be talking about the Operator of the camera) 2. Slenderman only appears (that we can see) after Alex brushes the brush from the sign.

Sorry if I'm a little jumbled. Allergies have hit me hard this year. Also, sorry if I'm retreading things gone over until the horse was bleeding sand. It's tough being the new person and behind on information.

Also, something about the way Alex turns at the end of Entry #14 creeps me out. It isn't the blood (which I actually thought looked pretty silly on first watch), it's his body language.

Alex seems to get pretty unnerved during the course of #13, doesn't he? Like he's looking around as if he's hearing something, after the initial location scouting?

To me the mark look like it had been scratched into the concrete, rather than made with chalk. That might explain the way that it doesn't rub away when he brushes it. Not sure about your points. If Alex thought Jay was playing a prank that might explain the footage we see in Exit... but how did TTA get his hands on it, if TTA is not Alex?

That's interesting, about Slendy appearing after the (X) is brushed into view. Alex brushes it, wanders off as if he hears or is looking for something (we see him scan those bleachers and the treeline with the camera), then goes back. It seems almost like he's jogging at that point. When the camera lands on Slendy he doesn't seem to jerk away like he's been scared the crap out of. It's like he was waiting for it, the way that he was scanning the building, looking around. Again, he could have been looking for evidence of pranking, saw Slendy, and thought "oh shi--"... I'm just not sure about #13. XD It is a mystery~

Alex's body language in #14 is unnerving to me, too. Like he's not in his head-space. Still asleep, or just in some weird thrall. Like he doesn't really care that he's got blood on his head, it's more important to change the video camera than it is to clean himself up. o_o Weird priorities, maybe.

There are quite a few ways.

1. It could have been on a separate tape (if the one you're spying on were to be reviewing the tape with you, and saw your work, they'll probably develop trust issues and be more guarded) that TTA took from Alex before he gave the tapes to J (or one he didn't due to said spying).

2. TTA could have stolen the tape from J before he got around to it (more of a subset to 1). There isn't really a concrete timeline to TTA's offline appearance. Those tapes were in his closet for quite a while, and he probably expecting someone as apparently stealthy as TTA.

3. TTA, if he is Tim, could have asked Alex for some of the footage, or blank tape, or something, and perhaps Alex forgot (the disease does seem to do that).

4. TTA could have created an edited version of the original tape and replaced it in Alex/J's possession (awkward cuts wouldn't look too out of place in one of those videos) while keeping the unedited footage (though, this does raise further questions).

ETC

The only problem I have with this, is it seems to me it would be a very bad choice on the part of the film-makers. It's defacing property. Unless, of course, these symbols were all over the area already and they just used them for their own purposes, which would make the symbols a kind of backronym and their meaning probably a bit more simplified. Like "no face".

I am still a bit confused over what he could have done to cause such bleeding. Was he bashing his head into a wall?

Perhaps The Slender Man forcibly established some sort of psychic connection between himself and Alex, and the bleeding on Alex' head comes from when SM seized it and/or crammed a finger or tendril inside.

That would probably explain the dazed expression, too. Can't imagine you'd be running on all eight cylinders after something like that.

I remember reading somewhere that when someone visited the red structure, the (X) scratched there was gone. It could be that the (X) on the ground WAS chalk and that they had put it on a couple of days beforehand so that it had settled a little!

Good points about the footage from Exit. Not sure that it solves anything for us, though. :\

The (X) mark could've easily been made by scratching one sharp rock against that pavement (Or whatever it was.) I don't think it matter so much though. Unless Slender Man enjoys chalk-drawing with Masky.

Homan. I'd have fallen over laughing at that picture had I not been propped against the back of a chair. That was brilliant. Fucking ace right there.

Huh. I feel slow now, but there HAS to be some connection between J's state in Return and Alex's in 14. They both seem to have been battered up a bit, they are both i a weird, trancelike state, and Slendy seems to walk right up to them, but is not see to interact with either.

This is interesting.

Man, we should be supporting their defacement of property. It'd be great if those marks actually did remain there for people to see. Besides, being a notorious outlaw is awesome.
