I've used the "End of Line" sign off myself a few times. Good to see a shout out to that. Smile

EOL was actually a code indicating the end of a command line, which is why it was used by the MCP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline

End of Line Club

OH. HELL. YES. Cool

Hunh?

It's a reference to the original Tron film. Anytime the MCP was done speaking it would say, "End of Line ."

No no no, I know about EOL. I'm talking about Castor's Club. What is that? I don't recall any reference to it.

The reference is the name of the club. To my knowledge Castor and his club are both new.

Pretty sure that Castor is Michael Sheen's character. He has said in interviews that he runs a night club in the digital world. Also I think thats him in the teaser thats playing air guitar with the cane.

Yes, the guy with the cane is him. I saw it mentioned on an interview with the director where he went over the images in the trailer.

Ha, it got started by Rusty responding to some of the details listed in the Aint It Cool link that Krakmunkey posted a page back. One of the details was the name of Sheen's character and the club he ran.

I'm a bit of a skeptic. AICN seems to be very good at taking some minor tips about upcoming content, then concocting an elaborate 'secret peek' story. Hard to believe that they'd keep so silent for so long with such a scoop, then tell us all about it when most of the details are already out there. Studios nearly never if ever confirm such visits,so it's easy to seem plausible. (I'm sure that if such a visit is official, there's a NDA signed stipulating when or if details can be released.) It's always interesting how much of the information is what we already know from publicity shots and recently released trailers. The description of the Pit Cell image, the description of characters, vehicles - all things we've recently seen. Doesn't sound nearly as juicy to say 'we know the name of that orange highlighted guy with the dual discs you saw in the trailer', does it?

We basically know the rough plot. I don't think their information is so horribly revolutionary as they'd like it to seem. In any event, 6 months from now everyone will have forgotten about the article and nobody will check for errors.

Well, almost nobody. I remember a certain 'extra' telling a story about Cloverfield...

not really we are dealing with disney, disney has lots of lawyers and tends to sue people over anything, hell they sued a daycare a few years ago. plus not only do you have to worry about lawyers but also disney would never allow them a set visit ever again. in my experience aicn is usually on the ball with their scoops, their die hard fanbase is not afraid to call bullshit on them, neither are the other websites they listed as being on the tour with them.

FYI - here is the quote from the AICN article on the other websites that went on the set tour with them:

"So I took the trip, joining about 9 other outlets, including MTV, FirstShowing.net, IGN and ComingSoon, but apparently the big online press day was the day following my visit. The LatinoReviews and CHUDs, etc, so hopefully I'll have something slightly different than most of the other sites. "

Well, no 4th rejection yet, so either they liked my 350x350 badge or I'm not getting one. We'll see, I guess!

FYI: Collider interview with Jeff Bridges.

Not much as far as spoilers, but there may be some. And he does mention the club's name and the term "end of line", which Jeff didn't even remember.

It's wild... it feels like they're interviewing The Dude. Wink
