New blog post today, though it's just a recap of what we've been through so far...

Mango madness

Congratulations again to the many people who found the collector's name and address. Agent Lex, Seeker, Toto and admin – to name but a few. Well done.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a quick recap. We knew that an anonymous bidder had bought a Turner painting from Southwaite's Auction House. There was a password-protected admin area of their website, but some of you figured out the password of the website administrator, RHouseman. If you want to figure it out yourself, just try logging into the Southwaite's site with his username.

In the admin area, there was all sorts of boring housekeeping information, but also a list of VIP clients and their particular areas of interest. Only one person was interested in Turner, and his name was Stevin Rafanaman.

Okay, you might say, so he concealed his identity and likes to buy Turners - but that's no crime. And you'd be right to say that. But the trail doesn't end there. His contact details are somewhat unusual. While you might expect a wealthy art collector to have a PA or a lawyer as his first point of contact, Mr Rafanaman has an Australian bathroom business called Red & Mango.

There's much more to this place than meets the eye. Go to the Red & Mango website and click on the taps in the Virtual Bathroom. I could tell you what happens next but, frankly, you wouldn't believe me...

Yay I got a shout-out!

If you look on Google Earth Qiuxia Mansion, Dongdajie St, Jiading, Shanghai, China is very close to the Shanghai Race Track.

Also I'm not sure it's actually called Quixia Mansion but Quixia Garden in the mansion of Dong Hong. http://english.jiading.gov.cn/lifeDetail.asp?id=45

Hey all, I'm going to try to hop in this game early and get some puzzles solved when they pop up. Smile This ARG looks like it has some good potential. Very Happy

You need the Unity3d plugin to access the virtual bathroom. You can download it from http://unity3d.com/webplayer/

The virtual bathroom is a 3d scene complete with handbasin, toilet and bathtub. If you click on just the right spot then there is a cute mini-game followed by some clues.
Check out the spoilers on page 4 of this thread for details of the mango tossing game etc

Yeah, still no luck on accessing the virtual bathroom. I downloaded the required thing, but still nothing. The country I live in sometimes is screwy about what can and can not be accessed.

If you're using Linux or an unsupported Mac version, bad luck - Unity won't run.

I've the same issue, annoying to have to boot into windows just for this but hohum...

My netlessness caused me to lag behind, but caught up before coming here - looking good thusfar.

Mmmm not really a news but there is a new blog post.

http://www.secretlewis.com/blogs/blog5.html

They are trying us to join his uncles fb group. Shouldn't be too hard to get 100 people to join.

I joined, but I *better* actually get to hear Meynard Chao sing, or I'm going to be *very* disappointed.

[EDIT] Text of blog post copied for posterity.
Quote:
I apologise for my uncle
22 March 2010

They say you can't choose your family. This phrase echoes around my head every time I think about my Uncle Meynard.

On the surface, he seems like very responsible human being. He has been in the Chinese military all his life, working his way up through promotion after promotion until he's now a very senior and well respected figure. His wife has given him two sons who both went to university and have good jobs in the automotive industry. He is a bastion of the People's Republic.

But Uncle Meynard has a vice. A very embarrassing vice. The kind of vice that means I try not to talk to him unless I really have to, and this weekend, I couldn't avoid it. I wanted his help but I knew there would need to be some quid pro quo.

Uncle Meynard's department has access to military satellites with thermal imaging. This technology would be extremely useful for us in Lewis's next heist: it would give me the chance to monitor his movements and those of everyone else in the building. If we're going to run this operation with any semblance of professionalism, we need that insight. And to get that insight, we need Uncle Meynard.

So I casually called him up on his military-encrypted phone, on the pretext of asking what to buy Auntie Jingwan for her birthday. It didn't take long for Uncle Meynard to steer the conversation onto his favourite topic.

"I want to launch an album in the West," he said. "I know a record label who says they'll release it if I can prove that there's enough interest. Maybe you have some contacts who can help?"

Yes, Uncle Meynard is a crooner. It's something we've tried to keep quiet, but he insists on making it public.

The bottom line is that he'll owe me a big favour if we can boost the number of fans on his Facebook page to 100 or more. Please sign up and pretend you like his music. It only takes one click.

I just hope that this record label was lying when they said they'll release the album.

Hey Everyone,

Honestly, I searched for the rules but couln't find them... anyways, I dunno if this is forbidden, if it is, then sorry and you can remove my post.

Anyways, I created a forum dedicated to Secret Lewis. Since I'm currently the only one posting there, I hope we can melt with other communities on other forums over there, so we can build 1 team with everyone and discuss everything with eachother.

Also I'm posting my analysis, walktroughs, and many mores only there, so it will be definetly something to keep checking regularly.

Again, sorry if this is advertising of anything, not ment to be, i just want the best for the game. (even if It is not in the therms of service of this forum that it's not allowed to advertise.)

The forum guidelines / rules are at the top of the page. Smile

Don't worry, you are allowed to mention your own fansite/blog/video feed for a game here.

Secret Lewis already has this thread here at unfiction, as well as some official forums. Personally, I don't have time to keep track of 3 forums for this game. However, I would be very interested in reading a guide or blog about Secret Lewis.

Offical Secret Lewis forums at Lewis and Jenson .com

I share Lysitheas opinion there are already forums coverinng SecretLewis but none of them has as much users as active people here on unforums. Therefore i don't see a reason why to create more and more places to look up information around SecretLewis.

I gonny stay with unforums, if there is need for more room as there are more complicated riddles incoming i guess we will have an own forum part for ourself.
