Pretty sure the binary idea is right. I've gone through once and am in the process of doublechecking what I have.

ETA - yes, had it right. The binary translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
MzkuNzQwMzI4LC0xMDUuMDAwNzcy

which is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Base64 encoding. Translating that gives:
39.740328,-105.000772

which further leads here:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Google maps link
Dead drop maybe?

excellent work on the binary decode, mr toasty.

is anyone else working on a colour filtering check as well, in case we have more than one message within this video? if not, i will have a go at it later on when i am back at my home computer and have a few more tools to play with.

as to the google map location, i can't open where it points to from this pc, but i am going to guess its a denver-ish location? given that the video title from manyforms is 'TELL HER' is it likely that he wants us to give LL the location rather than us visit it? mind you, even if that is his intention, do we really want to send our apparent heroine off to somehwere selected by a deranged stalker?

we could also do with identifying the music in the background to the TELL HER video - i'd still say the soundtracks to both videos are more than coincidental and we have a few gaps in our knowledge as to what they are/mean.

might be worth deciding in group how we address this and future choices, so we can co-ordinate our interaction with LL and/or manyforms (and hopefully we can get a more user friendly name for him, to save my typing Smile )

I did look at the spot on google maps... (nice work on that decode btw) and there isn't anything of note visible there but it does look like a nice spot to drop a clue... if anybody here lives in Denver and wanted to check it out.

Responses from Lisa on FB group:

Uh, is this serious?

This is the tree I usually study under. Its also the tree I was waiting to meet him. We were supposed to meet near the light rail station, but I waited under the tree looking for someone with the description he gave me. No one ever showed. He couldn't have known I was under that tree.

Is he seriously stalking me!?

ETA - New blog post as well.

Wooo. Gj Toasty Smile

Sent an e-mail to MMMF, and I get the response:

Why would I want Icarus when he has already escaped from it? You don't know how this game is played, do you?

I don't get it, he's stalking Lisa, but NOT for the flash drive?

Did you email him back trying to find out who "escaped"?

ok...first thoughts on the other side of the flash drive.

L:atrox is the latin name for the American Cave Lion (now extinct)

dentibus is latin for teeth (and/or tooth - I think. always struggle with Latin)

the P:EZ 33:3 might be a biblical reference. Ezekiel 33:3 gives us "and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people" which fits with an MP3 that seems to be a warning of an apocolyptic event?

not sure what the other writing says...w or n: 11,12,13 ?

I think "L" is the Login and "P" the password. The question is where?

Been trying to figure that out as well to no avail yet. As for the P and W, I would say they go together. Ezekiel came to mind for me as well. Assuming that is right and the version used is the same as above as opposed to say King James, then I'd interpret the W numbers as words 11, 12 and 13, giving "blows the trumpet" maybe?

Dentibus matches the name Mister_Teeth that he's intermittently used. Atrox basically means atrocious.

Got a reply, too, about 3 minutes after I left the house >:O In response to "what could have even escaped, it's just a flashdrive?"

Quote:
I suspect now it is.

Which I believe is saying Icarus has left the flashdrive, which is now... inanimate.

Responded asking whether we should be afraid of Icarus.

New at this

Hey everyone. I just stumbled apon this on facebook, and it caught my interest. I have spent some time trying to figure clues out by myself, but by the looks of it you got most of it already. the only real things I have to offer are other sites I found while searching for atrox.

One was the snake (which you already know), one was a horrow show thing (link on facebook if you want to take a look), one was a metal band (I thought it fit into the idea of all of this being about misic), and the last was another web comic (I just thought it was strange that this was the second web comic that had any kind of conection to this ARG).

I also thought that the matches on the back of the drive might have something to do with the myth of Icarus, and the whole melting thing.

welcome aboard etherealman Smile

i'd say 'atrox' is probably interpreted as terrible, or savage, and it is a commonish latin name in the classification of a number of animals - including, as you say, certain types of snake (which Mr Teeth has already referred to himself as).

l:atrox is also a shortened form of the latin name for the american (cave) lion panthera leo atrox which is now extinct. unfortunately, i've not found any site or link yet trying a combination of these ideas and it may be that we still require a pointer to tell us what we are meant to be logging in.

as mentioned above, the phrase 'blows the trumpet' is also the most likely answer to the P:EZ clue. it gives us a continuation of what i think is one of the major themes so far, OT religion. will pick out the possible symbols in a thread a bit later on.

I've been plugging in this name everywhere and just realized the login in isn't "atrox" it's "atrox dentibus". With the pass blows the trumpet. I don't know which login you've been trying but, I'm going to go back through all the sites I tried and use this instead.
