Sounds more like a doomsday machine to me... a "let's nuke the Covie's homeworld" type bomber, a la Wing Commander 3.

Then again, the Human vessels all named after "pride", "gods", and "heroes".

Covenant use religious/holy/spiritua names.

Apocalypso sounds like a hybrid of the two. hehe ^_^ It's the "End of the World with a splash of A Siren Lover to Odysseus." How messed up is that? hehe

I can positively confirm that of the four axons in Raleigh, NC this week (all of which are repeated from hivekuts.html, BTW), one went unanswered last week. Which I suppose means that a phone is ringing somewhere, even if I can't find the darned thing... Dunno

Re: I'm back

Ok, just so people know and stop asking Razz I'm back from holidays and the axon plot page is back up to date minus a couple of minor things. I'm just posting because I read a lot of posts asking why the page isn't updated, or when I'm getting back, all that jazz... so it's now official - I'm back, and TheAxonPlot is being updated again

... which seem to be easily translated to English - Truth and Reconciliation seems to be a fairly direct and simple name, whereas I am not sure you could translate something from the Covenant language to Apocalypso - it's the hybrid-ness and the whimsy of it that seem human to me, and probably not translatable to any other language, much less translated from another language to English.

(basically, I am just chiming in in agreement that it's a human ship, along with all the other evidence)

11:49PDT unstoppable hot.

And, Melissa does not ask "What ship am I confined to?"
She is asking "What ship are you assigned to?"
Correct answer is still: "Apocalypso"

I had a nice quiet lobby and a good loud phone for this axon.

Yes. The Billings, MT axon (11:45 PDT this round) was not activated in Round 2 but is listed again. My guess is that a different phone will ring at the same site this time (there is a bank of four phones at the location).

Confirmed, same question for me. I had to say "Apocalypso" three times, which made me rather nervous, but it worked. I did not get asked for the code word ("skin") at all.

9:17 a.m. Burbank axon hot. I'll post a quick summary in that other thread, since we got only 4/5 axons in that group today.

Apocalyps-o!

Nice going!

I find myself wondering if Apocalypso is easier for voice recognition to pick out than just Apocalypse. Ending the word on the "psss" sound tends to cause people to fade out that last syllable, but with the "oh" at the end, it probably tends to come through a little better. I found it odd that the name seemed to change from Melissa's mention of it in her memories to the mention of it in the recipe3.html .wavs. This may be the reason why.

I'll take the heat for that one then -- it sounded like "confined", but I was at a noisy phone on a busy streetcorner -- thanks for clearing that up Wink

I heard it three times today and agree - it's "What ship are you assigned to?" After all, Melissa is apparently trying to reach her crewmates.

Does anyone know if the Lincoln, Nebraska axon is still in the same place? Because I'm considering traveling down to Lincoln from Omaha to get it, since OMAHA HAS NOT GOTTEN A DANG AXON YET. Evil or Very Mad

Edit: Minor spelling error.

Quadruple confirmation, it is "What ship are you assigned to?" And I wish she would recognize me on the first try, because I get all nervous when I repeat myself twice each time.

And surgeon_general AXON HOT and FILE ONLINE!! Woot! Go surgeon_general people! We r0x0rs!
