I get the feeling that the dress code guidelines on the employee intranet are meant for players attending the live event. Sounds like they want players to wear stuff that won't cause them to be injured if the event has activities where people are running around. If you attend, you might want to bring your ID along, just in case.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
* Employees must not wear any tattered garments.
* Political buttons, pins, stickers and/or t-shirts must not be displayed on your person or in your workspace.
* Your clothing must not be overly flammable.
* If your jewelry can also double as a weapon, then it is unacceptable for wearing at Encom.
* An individual's outfit must cover his/her person in a respectable manner; revealing ensembles are not allowed.
* Footwear must be appropriate for your given position (for example, you can't wear flip-flops if you work on the loading dock). Safety is paramount here at Encom.
* Please maintain a standard of cleanliness that reflects a consideration for your fellow employees and for yourself.

Spoilered just in case people prefer to read it themselves.

Also seems to be what's inferred at http://www.flynnlives.com/discussionforums/post.aspx?id=23

It's on the employee intranet page. It's one of the Group 7 Updates on the right, underneath your e-mail box.

The interviewer in the IGN video is not Dan Shor, but he is apparently fond of energy drinks with B complex vitamins. Those ears couldn't be brighter red if they were on fire.

It's Eric Moro.

In all seriousness, it is getting harder and harder to keep track of what's going on new. Every time there is a piece of new evidence, a whole new thread is started, and I am not sure if that should always be the case. I know I'm the one who advocated increasing the number of threads, but it has become a tad out of proportion now I think.

Example:

arcadeaid phone number thread, and arcadeaid cheatcode thread- why aren't these just under the arcadeaid thread?

Encom conference
encom international
encom intranet

Shouldn't those just be under the Encom International thread?

flynnlives.com/event and [live event] 2/27/10 trailer screenings: these are referring to the same event!

I'm sorry if I seem rude. It's that I'm beginning to notice that I am not finding out about puzzles for 2-3 days sometimes because it is getting lost in newly created threads and such (if I got an e-mail every time there was a new reply or a new thread opened, it wouldn't be so bad, but you can't do that here, so...)

If I'm the only idiot having this problem, then I apologize and I'll stop complaining.

Edit: yes, I realize that they all have subtle shades of different meaning to greater or lesser degrees. However, I don't see why they couldn't be discussed in one thread rather than splitting the threads up.

To that I say...be like me and catch up with the wiki and then use the threads to get more details of whatever you are interest in.

you can get emails to replies by ticking to NOTIFY ME WHEN A REPLY IS POSTED box when posting or by clicking the little envelope at the bottom right of the thread, not sure if you can get emailed when a new thread is started though.

Years ago, the previous version of the forum software had a "Watch this Forum" option, which worked much like "Watch this topic" but would notify you of new posts to any topic in that forum, including the creation of new topics. I miss that.

There is an RSS feed for new threads, though - it's hidden at the bottom of the forum page, or I can just link it here.
