one final question:
do you think we should adhere to the Encom dress code for this event?
Yes. Its probably a retarted theory, but heres mine...
with the badge requirement and the dress codes posted along with the FL discussion board, i'm highly suspecting that there may be some cameras around and we may just see this event in theaters in December.

Just a theory...

Just noticed on the Encom dress code that we are not allowed to have "overly flammable" outfits. Anyone think there may be pyrotechnics involved with this event?

Theory: Intranet

I still say, why would they give the badges out WORLD WIDE and not give the "employees" a chance to see this on the web, Theory: Intranet connection to festivities in SF. If they limit the access just to the locals, it will be extremely disappointing to everyone!!

that means no powder blue polyester suits or clothing dipped in kerosene/gasoline. you wouldn't normally think fireworks would be a concern as far as setting people on fire. unless of course they're firing them off amongst/at the people...... hit the deck when you hear them go off. Shocked

I'm of half a mind to go with the family and overtly play the other side with "Flynn Lives" signs.
I mean... At least it'd be SOMETHING.
We'd miss out on the after-party, though. So again... Weighing the options.
What would be a good chant to start with my portable PA?

unless this is only one of many encom events. remember the quest we did runing around town with a phone in our hands searching for a wallet... maybe that was simply a test to see what locations were worth the cost of putting on a presentation....

in my opinion, 6 would be ideal. i wouldnt want to get there any later.

For those SoCal'ers carpooling. i was thinking about getting a van for all of us and splitting the cost.

...opinions? who's interested?

They've probably had to fill out health and safety/risk assessment forms for big live events such as these, and one of the requirements could very well have been something to do with flame resistant clothing.

so for the outfit, is a suit-jacket, button down shirt, and some black jeans enough/overkill?

wondering if Flynn Lives group is gonna send out an email prior (day before?) to the Event (just like the countdown to zero hour - call to action) to have people wear Flynn Lives T-shirts under your "disguise"...as it does seem like they are chatting about a possible protest in the discussion forums. Now that would be kind of cool seeing the whole crowd transform into an army of black Flynn Lives Tshirts.

Also hoping that this event will have a webcast component....considering they have a whole bunch of offices "worldwide". Any modern software giant would do a webcast for the WHOLE world to see.

...and I bet Flynn Lives group is counting on it....

Man, non-flammable clothing disclaimer, man, let's hope Al-Qaeda doesn't have a beef with Encom. Cause if a FlynnLives protester jumps the security railing and starts saying, "LaLaLaLala...", everyone better 'hit the dirt'!
