Android Encom/Legacy Themes [updated 3/31/2010]

I am currently working on two themes for Android based devices: "Encom" and "Tron Legacy". Both themes are still in the concept stage, and are nothing more than mockups that I have thrown together in photoshop. Once I have a solid design I will begin work on converting this into usable themes for our phones. Until then any comments, opinions, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

ENCOM:

Boot image influenced by Encom member badges. I want to put out a thanks to Euchre for setting me on the right path for the new launcher bar.

Code:
3|26|2010: Initial concept put together.
3|30|2010: Design for launcher completed; Morph soon to follow.

TRON LEGACY:

Code:
3|26|2010: Initial concept put together.
3|29|2010: Trial morph of launcher built. Here
3|30|2010: Two versions of status bar created for review.
3|31|2010: Minor updates for a more complete metamorph of current progress.

Download:  (*Remember* Always do a nandroid backup before any major changes)
Tron Legacy v.2 - Download  (for standard launcher app)
Tron Legacy Advanced v.2 - Download (for advanced launcher app*auto install if not there)

Version .2 Includes a skinned launcher, status bar, and both wallpapers.

Known Issues:
Launcher tray background needs to be black. Must figure out how to change.
Image deviance on launcher graphics between normal state, and delete states.
Clock/Date still in black font. Must figure out how to change to white.

I am really liking how this one is coming together. The launcher bar matches with the wallpaper so well, and what I have done as far as the status bar has promise too.

So lemme know your opinions and recommendations, and I will do my best to make some quality theme for all of us. Just keep in mind this is my first attempt at theming (though I have done a lil bit of graphic work in the past).

Official Theme Page

Also, here are the wallpapers I am including with the themes. Encom's has been cropped from the remote access to Hardington's desktop. Legacy's was taken from a movie poster. (One with text added, and one without)

As you can see, the boot up screen is heavily influenced by our new employee badges. The second image (the main part of the theme) hasn't really had much work done on it yet. just a initial mockup. The status bar still has to be fully modded, and I'm not sure if I like the launcher bar that I created.

Also, here is a bonus wallpaper for your phone cropped from the remote access to Hardington's desktop.

TWO WORDS: LOVE IT!

thank you too, I'm still waiting for the launch for this theme. Don't know how to work most android systems, but it'll be worth a try.

i'll do my best to make regular progress on it. This week went slow with midterms, but should be able to get back on track now that they are over.

The launcher bar 'tab' at bottom could have the VerbisWare logo on it instead of the Encom logo - at least if you did a non-Group 7 access version. Who's to say Encom doesn't want to make a version of VerbisWare for Mobile?

Sounds interesting, I'll look into trying it out.
As far as the legacy theme goes, I have pretty much finished all the different image states for the launcher, and am attempting to get the files set up to demo on my phone.

Thanks for doing this!

A random search in google lead me to this forum a while back; informing me of Legacy, and the arg going along with it. If it wasn't for you guys I would have missed out on a whole lot of fun.

This is just my way of giving back a little. Not to mention making a Tron theme for my android just seems like an epic idea.

Just updated main post with preview of new launcher for Encom inspired by Euchre. Also added are links for the morphs to the launcher and two candidates for status bars for Legacy.

As of right now all the work is pretty much being done in photoshop. Other than that its just making the proper folder layouts for the phone, and creating a Metamorph theme control file with a text editor. When I'm done with the themes and release an actual theme all I will need to do is include the missing files that werent required with Metamorph, and then sign all my apk and zip files so the phone will accept them.

Info on Metamorph here

with all this graphic goodness going on here. is there anyway i can ask you to produce a large (big enough for the side of a van) 'Encom' sign and and Encom 'E'. that way i could have them turned into magnets for our van for our SF adventure to the Encom Conference? i just need the graphics to be better quality that i have been able to find online elsewhere. thanks guys!

Also looking to do red on black.

EDIT: Scratch that, i think FSURobbie has it covered.
